a quaint tea shop with ample lighting with a variety of different tea options. The tea took a few minutes to get staked and poured over, but it was extremely fresh and fragrant.

    Matcha latte w/ cardamom

This was an overall enjoyable matcha drink, but a bit small and expensive. The addition of cardamom was unique and made it stand out compared to a lot of other matcha drinks I've had. I thought the matcha itself was ok quality, I've definitely had better. And like most matcha drinks, there was way too much ice which made the drink a lot smaller than it looks. For $8, it's ok - I'd consider coming back but not actively. The inside is a nice area to stay for a bit and there are some tables where you can do work. I think the music is a bit too loud though and can make it hard to concentrate without headphones. The service is pretty good, the lady at the counter made my drink and then brought it directly to me which I thought was a nice gesture. 4/5

Inside the hot black matcha drink

I went to Cha & this past weekend and it was a good experience. The windows were dark and I could barely see inside until I opened the doors to see a coffee shop that looked like a greenhouse or conservatory. It was very hip and trendy with wooden benches, short wooden tables, all white walls, high ceiling, and big leafy plants. What a nice space to unwind and relax. Too bad there was no bathroom in this Cha &. I was looking for a door and came across a door that said staff. I was just shocked that there was no bathroom. How are we supposed to go if we have drinks and spend a long time in the spot? I hope they install a bathroom soon. The barista behind the counter was very attentive and nice to all the customers waiting in line to order their drink. He explained the drinks to the customer before me and I was very pleased at how nice he was with him. I was very happy that it was my turn next and he helped me place my order. I got the black matcha drink and thought I could get it cold but he said it was only offered in hot. I read the menu and they said the black matcha has the best in class houjicha powder. It is a dark roasted green tea with toasted chocolate notes paired with oat milk and brown cane sugar. It has minimal caffeine so it was good for me since I did not want that much caffeine in my system that day. After I placed my order, the barista told me to sit at a bench to wait for my drink to be ready. I was so ecstatic and shocked at how the black matcha came out to be. It was very tasty and subtly sweet. It almost tasted like black sesame. I loved it lot and was sad that I devoured it really fast since the cup was a standard size and in my opinion was kind of small. I wish it came in a bigger size so I can enjoy it better as I have more to sip on. Oh wells. I will definitely remember this black matcha forever and will come again to get it soon. There was also free samples of Innisfree green tea ceramide samples that are up for grabs. The barista was so nice about it that he allowed the customers to get as many as we want. There were also free green Innisfree plushies for us to grab too. These Innisfree samples were just for a limited time so I'm glad to see Cha & collaborate with Innisfree.

Tea Flight and Blueberry Cheese Danish

Cha & was hands down one of the highlights of my time in New York. From the moment I walked in, the space felt warm and inviting, and the staff immediately set the tone for what turned into a really memorable visit. I ordered the tea flight which came with a blueberry cheese danish, and later finished with the cardamom rose matcha latte. Spoiler: all so delicious! The tea flight was such a fun and educational experience. Each tea had a distinct profile, and I really appreciated how much care went into explaining the flavors and origins. The barista walked me through each tea thoughtfully and answered questions with genuine enthusiasm. I soon learned he actually was the manager, and we ended up having a great conversation throughout the visit! Even though the shop was dealing with some electrical issues at the time, everything was handled calmly and smoothly, which honestly made the service even more impressive. The rest of the staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming to me on my visit. The blueberry cheese danish was scrumptious, especially once heated up. It was flaky, rich, and had just the right balance of sweetness without being cloying. While it's not baked in-house, it's sourced from nearby Balthazar Bakery, which the manager highly recommended. And based on how good this pastry was, it has definitely been added on my list to check out! To end the visit, I ordered the cardamom rose matcha latte, and it was such a unique and comforting drink. This was an employee recommended drink and I could absolutely see why - creamy, gently sweet, and delicately floral, it felt like the perfect conclusion to an already great experience. This place truly shines not just because of its drinks, but because of the people behind the counter! Would absolutely recommend, a must-visit if you're in New York!

I came here to get some work done and it's the perfect spot for being productive or catching up with a friend! The interior of the cafe has a bar and some small tables for you to do work on a laptop. It's bright and there are large windows surrounding the space, allowing for lots of natural lighting to come in. I got their matcha latte with cardamom and their black matcha and both were so delicious. I love how you can change your milk or have add-ons here without an additional cost. There's also free wifi and a public restroom! Would definitely come back here!

This cafe has been on my list for a while and I'm so glad I got to check it out. There's direct sunlight coming into this cafe making it a great place to work or chat with friends. The Matcha Latte was extremely rich and strong, which is great for matcha lovers. The space is beautiful and super vibey although there is no bathroom in this cafe!

Service here was extra kind and friendly. I was debating between two teas and the teatender offered me a sample. The tea was so flavorful and I would order it again. The cafe has a lofty, open, airy vibe with seating for pairs of individuals. There is also a few bar seats and outdoor seating as well. Floor-to-ceiling windows to allow maximum natural light inside. There were several people on laptops for a Saturday afternoon. Overall, it's a nice spot for casual conversation or solo time.

Heard good things & had to try it for myself. It is a very nice open space. Staff was very friendly with a smile. It was once they opened so not too busy. I wanted to try their matcha so ordered an iced one with a raisin pastry on the side. I took a seat, and the staff was kind enough to bring the order over. The matcha was very flavorful and not overly sweet. Pastry was warmed up and not very sweet as well but was a good morning treat. Recommend for a nice rest stop to unwind. Would go back to try other drinks on the menu.

i got the hojicha latte, which came in a gorgeous brown color. the nuttiness of the hojicha shined in this drink, and it was one of, if not, the best hojicha latte i've had in nyc. you can definitely see & taste the care they put into all of their teas! i also adored the interior of this cafe -- so full of natural light with a clean aesthetic. i will definitely be back to try their other drinks :)

This is such a fun spot to go with fellow tea lovers and try a bunch of different things. We each got a flight, which comes with 6 tea shots and a pastry, as well as one full size tea. The white tea was my favorite, the green and black teas were super strong but an experience, and the sweetened teas were tasty. It was so unique to try each one by one, the perfect size to get a sense of the teas. The apple pastry and danish were really good, super flaky and not too sweet. I liked the indigo rose tea, the orange herbal tea was interesting but not totally my thing. The space is a little weird because they don't have a bathroom and kind of has the vibe of a pop up or like they just moved in, doesn't seem like they've totally figured out the space yet and where everything goes/having enough storage space for people's stuff. The very low tables when you're not sitting on the floor are a bit awkward for bending over to drink tea. We had a reservation for two and tried to change it to three but it's very difficult to get in touch with them, so be mindful of that. Besides those couple quirks I really loved our experience here, and would recommend it for a small group.

Food/drinks: tea latte was sooo good!! Very very strong which I prefer Atmosphere: cute! Tables are tiny so might be difficult to work on but good lighting! A good a mount of seating ~5-6 tables Service: friendly Price: I don't think ice tea is worth $6 but I think the tea latte is worth it

We dropped by here with the pups. Got the golden yunan and tea latte. The staff at the front is super friendly. Place is cute and spacious to sit in the morning. First place I've been to that makes a pretty great cup of tea latte. The balance with tea and coffee is a good blend. I've been to other places that don't blend well. It reminds me of a good cup of hk milk tea with the condense milk. I will be back to try their tea flights and other tea options. Highly recommend for a nice tea spot if anyone is around LES. My new local spot to go. We came here again and tried the white tea and the honey tea. The white tea not my preference. But the lemon honey one is freshing for a hot day.

Great place for drinks. I really like their black matcha. I got the iced Cardamom Matcha latte today and it's also really good. There's seating and pastries as well.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
