It is the only taxi service in Williamson/Franklin County! Bless her heart, after she picked me up she had one more to get...didn't stop there! Her phone never stopped ringing the whole time! Don't know how she does it, yes she does have to turn a few down for the simple fact she's full up! She works first for the hospital and their patients such as I who was taken by ambulance. Very kind an sweet brought me from Marion to West Frankfort after another pick up an drop off....with at least 25 calls during that time. Thank you so much, very appreciated.

I then called another taxi service and got a ride because I refuse to be treated in such a way. I attempted to call them back at least 12 different times to tell them so, but I either always got a busy signal or a full voicemail. So when they finally called me me back to tell me they were there to pick us up, I tried to tell them I got another taxi because of their rude service. I literally got the through 'we got another' before they hung up on us. Absolutely terrible service. If you ever need a taxi in Carbondale, get Jet Taxi instead. They are MUCH faster and FAR more polite.

On another note, how are their vehicles road safe? The cab had a huge crack in the front windshield and the bumper looked like it was going to fall off, if you add the fact that every time the cab driver pressed the gas that his seat would go back and jam into my knees it doesn't lead to a pleasant experience what so ever. I definitely will stick to using Ace taxi for now on.

I am fed up. This service is astoundingly awful. It is consistently late at this point. I have…read moretried to not write this review, but it's been a helluva long time coming already and today was the last straw. 80% of the time I call a cab it doesn't arrive within the time window we've scheduled so that I could arrive on time for the engagement I need to go to, and I end up having to cancel since I would get there way too late. Sometimes no one picks up the damn phone, and sometimes you might have a scheduled ride, and you are just left abandoned with no text, no call and no show like I was at church a couple of months ago. Also, Steve doesn't pay his employees apparently if you pay with a card, so you'd have to use cash app or pay in cash or the cabbie doesn't get paid which is nuts. That is not how you run a business. It's no wonder he is short staffed. He is short staffed because no one wants to work for him. And pretty soon at this rate no one will want to do business with him either. Do yourself a favor, use uber or literally any other service. This service is toast. EDIT: The owner Steve texted me after I left this review, making the claim that the reason they were late was because one of the drivers was in the hospital getting open heart surgery. A. None of that was mentioned when I scheduled my ride HOURS in advance, nor during the two follow up calls. B. At 5:05 Steve's taxi texted me and said that the driver would be at my place in 15 minutes, about 5:15pm like we planned. Then 5:30 came, another text saying that the driver would be here in another 15 minutes. About 5:45pm I call again, Steve tells me the driver will be here in another 15 minutes. I was supposed to be at my engagement at 6pm, by that time a cab still hadn't arrived, I wait longer, call again and then canceled the ride. By the time I would get there it would be too late if the cab ever got to me at all. And here is the biggest consideration I want to emphasize, I would not have left a bad review had it been a one-time event. This has happened repeatedly. And instead of trying to make things better, the owner responds with denying me service. That's fine. Because I'm going to leave this review on every platform where he has a page for reviews, including the Better Business Bureau. Oh and Steve, PAY YOUR FRICKIN DRIVERS.
