We've been saving for our home remodel for a while. We finally decided to start and the first thing was the kinetico water system. I did a lot of research prior to deciding on them. We saw them at the home and patio show in 2023 and talked with them for a long time about their system. They answered all my questions. They installed the system in March of 2023 and since then the system has been amazing and we love it! Because of the new water system we don't have to use as much detergent for washing clothes, using the dishwasher as well as soap when showering. I also love no more water spots on the shower glass doors! I also use the house water when I wash the cars and Rv; results in NO water spots! I also love the reverse osmosis drinking water system. We hooked up the reverse osmosis system directly to our refrigerator so now our ice is totally clear and tastes great. Funny thing; our LG refrigerator makes the craft ice balls and those are clear. Our grandkids love the large craft clear ice in their drinks. We drink a lot of water so having great tasting water was very important to us for health reasons. We keep 3 bags of salt in the brine tank. The more water we use the more I have to add to the brine tank. About every three months I add two bags of salt. I have a Tractor Supply next to us so I get the salt there for about $7:50 a bag. With the reverse osmosis drinking water system I have to replace the two filter cartridges once a year. Those are pricey; about $60 each. Overall we are definitely satisfied with the water system as well as with Kinetico! They have been great to work with. We have a large 400 gallon HotSprings spa. When it's time to add water to the spa I use the home water instead of the irrigation water. This has helped a great deal keeping the spa chemicals perfect. read more

When I first started using CGC's services 7 years ago, they were prompt and helpful. More recently, I have had abysmal water pressure from the Kinetico reverse osmosis system. It cuts off after an ounce or two of water, despite being a very new pre/post filter. There are no obvious kinks or blocks in the incoming/outgoing lines for the water to the system and yet I cannot get more than a swallow or so of water. I was advised to replace the filters which I just did this morning. I was told at the store they occasionally have "bad" filters but they were unwilling to offer me a replacement either free or at a discount. After just replacing the filters, I discovered the same, poor water pressure from the Kinetico continues with it shutting off after a few seconds. I recontacted the store and asked about a service call when they are already on property (I live in a condominium that is serviced by CGC). They called back to inform me that there would be no discount on the service call and that they would "retrain" me on proper installation of the filters with no guarantee they could get the 7-year system to work properly. I am feeling rather frustrated that they choose to treat a long-term customer so poorly, particularly one who has referred several other homeowners to them in the past. I imagine that I will remove the system and choose a Sans water filtration system instead, unless I hear back from them. read more

Sold reverse osmosis system under sink. I do not believe I got system that I purchased. Also was told I'd get filters included for 2nd year but unfortunately nothing. Written on receipt so they deny that. At this stage almost 1 year later I would not recommend this water company due to their dishonesty and an overall distrust of what they're selling you. Not a reputable company to deal with in my opinion - better off staying away. read more

Had a young man come out from this company to install a brand-new kitchen faucet less than a year ago. Noticed the other day that the faucet that was installed was loose at the base and water had been getting under it. We could not get under the sink to tighten it, so we called them back to see if they could help and how much it would be. Getting an appointment was quick and easy. We did explain that it was the faucet they had fairly recently installed. A really kind representative came out to take a look and apologized for the price. He told us to tighten it down would cost $295 an hour. $295 minimum to do something that should have been done right the first time. We are disappointed. We have been using them for water treatment system and bottled water for years and years. We will be looking for a company to supply our water and filtration needs going forward. I had CGC install a Kinetico softener and that all went very well. When I found I had a major leak in my sewer line under the house I decided to try their plumbing services. It was a good choice. They fixed all the problems, removed old pipe, and gave me cleanouts into the septic. It has been 2 years and I have had no problems. Because the sewer repairs went well, I decided to replace the old iron pipe. That went equally well and I have not had a problem after 2 years. The work was all in a crawlspace and not easy. This company was referred to us by Angi for two service calls which were both for clogged pipes in 2 different units. The second unit clog was under the trailer by the cleanout. The tech decided to go thru every pipe from inside the house wasting over an hour and was unsuccessful because he could not get to the clog. During the job he stated if he couldn't unclog it he would not charge for job done. In the end he told me we need a complete replumb and would send me an estimate, then took $300 from me which he would credit to the replumb. A week later I called the office and she had no idea so she said she would check and send me the estimate. One month later I called a handyman who had no problem going straight to the cleanout and clear the clog. He said all piping was fine. I was contacted by Angi and filed a complaint. CGC said we did not go through Angi for the job, we clearly did, and then they stopped communicating to get the issue resolved. I guess the tech did not want to get dirty. He left as clean as when he arrived. I do not recommend them at all, wish I could leave no star. I feel ripped off and lied to. read more

Bought a top of the line Kinetico system with the K5 filtration system. Salesman assured me that my family of 7 would be no problem for this unit. We've had CGC out three times for service. This fourth time today I was told that I need to pay a $99 service call to sell me two filters because water only dribbled out of the K5. Those two filters were over $100 and we only had the unit for five months. The service technicians have always been very nice but CGCs salespeople are either ill-informed or dishonest. For CGCs part, shame on you for wanting to charge me $99 to sell me two filters that can be changed by a monkey. read more

Their pricing structure is out of this world. For $1,085. and a little over 3 hours the plumber did the following * installed a new faucet we purchased, * changed out 5 water filters, we purchased filter and O-rings * flushed out our water heater. * replaced a garbage disposal - no electrical work needed & they provided the unit (Badger Home Depot price - $135) The Total bill was $1,085.00. I was impatient and let him do the repairs, I printed the invoice today and it looked like the tech selected three tasks to the faucet installation (Plumb, Faucet; Install 3 lines 1 price) and the disposals description ended with "* All in scope parts and Labor Included" So I called and questioned its accuracy. The company had the Plumber call; he explained that the call was after hours and also that the company has other costs such as labor, insurance, vehicles, gas etc. The plumber arrived at 4 when the scheduled time was 12-4, if he had told me that I would be charged for overtime I would have rescheduled. So, the bill - labor only was $950.00. read more

I've enjoyed Carol's business for the past two years. The product speaks for itself. I purchased their top water filter system (non electric) and K5 drinking system based on trying it it myself from a friend whom bought it previously. The payment process was no hassle as long as you setup an 11 month payment plan. The deal was interest free for 1 year, but be careful, if you don't pay it off 100% you will incur the full interest for the product at initial cost. The payment system was ok, you can pay online or call, but I recall there was something fishy about using a credit card to pay maybe an additional fee? Anyway, the above purchase happened 25 months ago. I swung by to check my filter (non disposable) and confirmed by running water over it, and it turns back off white, it means it's not ready for the trash just yet. After confirmation, I was still offered to buy a new one or even disposable ones. Hm. I'm not sure if the conversation was taking a turn similar to yelper Cheryl P's experience in which I was being sold stuff I don't exactly need at the moment, but I decided to close the conversation and leave. CGC Kinetico installed my water softener/treatment system 5 years ago and I've been very pleased with the system. I use their salt home delivery service and love that they alert me when my service technician is on their way. They unload the salt into garage for me which saves me lugging bags from store to home. I scheduled an annual service check up to start the new year and they tested my water, changed the filter, added salt and reset the time on the system as well as checked regeneration times. What a pleasant and amazing experience I've had with CGC Kinetico. I recently moved into my new home in Atlantic Beach and the water here was horrible and it even smelled bad. These folks at one time were the4 only ones I'd trust in the water softener business, I think the old name was Clearwater Systems. I don't know if they were bought out of not but my last experience was awful. My kinetico softener which I love, I think are they best choice. That being said, this is not the same company it used to be. I am having a little trouble with the unit not getting soft and a slight drain leakage. I made a service appointment, 2 weeks later he shows up, takes a look at my system them says it is shot and I would need to either spent $5800 on a new one or $3800 on a rebuild of mine. I asked about the rebuild and he said it would take about 45 minutes. 45 minutes??!! for $3800?? I am in the wrong business, 45 minutes labor even with $200 of resin and $100 for O-rings I am not getting $3800 out of this equation. Back when they were Clearwater, I had on site repair done for $250, parts included. This is NOT customer service in any way I am familiar with! Had a awful experience with this company. Have a Kinetico unit and called for a service call. The first think he asked was how old is system. He had in his mind right away to sell a system. I told him I dont have money to replace so it needed to be fixed? Kinetico CGC is a great water softening company and system. I have had their 4040 system since 2014 and it has performed flawlessly. It's not an electrical system, so there is no cost to power the system, and it continues to work during a power outage. It is also extremely efficient in its use of salt. We have a 240 in salt tank, and I have added salt twice since June 2014, and the tank is still 3/4 full from the second refill. I have dealt with several of their service personnel and they have all been great, very professional, very friendly, and they all do a great job. I highly recommend Kinetico CGC if you are looking for better water. read more
