This was my first time here, and was SO impressed. The prices are reasonable, and the service was outstanding! The people that work here truly have wonderful comraderie between each other and it shows! Not one time did I feel uncomfortable or an inconvenience like I have felt at other salons. They all carry on conversations with their clients individually and there is little (personal) talk between the employees. Their main focus was on me and it made me feel very special. My nails look amazing, and I felt so good after leaving. The gentleman at the front desk is SO sweet and told me that this place has the best pedicure in town. He is right!!! Lee did my pedicure and she was amazing! Best pedicure I have ever had. Van did my nails and he was so considerate and made sure to ask me if I was happy before I left. I came here with a bridal party for a manicure/pedicure. The lady that worked on my feet first, clipped so much skin around my cuticle that I was started to bleed. It was very painful and I had to tell her a couple of times I'm hurting but her English was so poor she couldn't understand. When it was time to choose nail polish color, she asked me what color I wanted and I didn't even give me a chance to see the choices the salon had or nail polish swatches. When I responded, "let me think about this," she said "what nail polish do I want" about 3x which clearly showed how poor her English was again. The supervisor didn't stop once to check and see that we were having a communication problem. At one point when another lady started working on my manicure, she interrupted my conversation with the bride and asked me to get up and move to the back where she would continue to work on my nails, separating me from the bridal party which made absolutely no sense. Even they were surprised to see that I was being "downgraded" to another place even though I was the last to arrive and should have the last to move. This was to make room for newcomers, but the approach was terrible customer service, I felt like a 2nd class citizen. I have never had such a terrible experience at the salon and was trying my hardest to hide my frustration and not ruin the day for the bride.I hardly ever give negative reviews, but this needed to be written. read more

This salon is a start up from the former Staff Favorite, "Van" at the Nail Forum. They opened up in Castaic and have since closed that store. They currently have a salon in the Target shopping plaza next door to the new Sprouts centrally located in Valencia. If you get the right person, this salon is excellent. I have been coming to this place for a couple years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else! The nail techs are very friendly and always remember my daughter and I and always make us feel welcome. I don't have a specific nail tech that I request but every one of them has done a great job with my fills and pedicures. read more

Have been a loyal customer for over a year. Came in a couple weeks after a manicure/pedicure. Just wanted a polish change as my nails were already peeling. I didnt want a pedi or mani again but was told the only way to get Gel Nail polish was with manicure. I know this is not true since Ive done just polish everywhere else, including here. I have long strong nails and frequently pay for just polish. Its sad to lose a customer over something so petty. read more

Had a full set put on by James. Initially I was happy, but the more I looked at them the less happy I became. The nails were mishapped and the edges were left rough and began lifting as they grew out. I've gone here several times for pedicures and been really happy, but I wont be going back for nails any time soon. read more

This review is not about the service one you book your appointment, but with the person (ivan) the clerk that takes your name and makes the appointment. He should not be in customer service at all. First he needs to learn how to say the name of the business. Second show respect to your customers when in your place of business for with out customers he would not have a job. Third when you need to cancel an appointment due to a personal reason call your customer dont make them show up. Fourth do your job dont ask a customer to ever call you back to schedule an appointment becouse your too busy to take her number. You do not belong in a customer service job... I am hoping that your manager reads this and does something about it, for I will not return to C'est L'amour until your gone. Will never go here again...I have lived in the SCV for about a year, and this has been my nail place. But Ivan doesn't seem to realize that I am a regular, or even care. The other manicurists do recognize me and say hi, etc. But I had to complain about my most recent pedicure, and Ivan did not handle it well at all. His customer service skills are seriously lacking. The woman who did my pedicure used a giant nail file to scrub the arch of my foot and completely ignored the heel (the place where most people need the scrubbing) and also ignored my cries of, ouch! That hurts! Ooo, ow! When I walked up to pay, I told Ivan about this. He said I needed to pay for callus remover treatment. Really?! I thought a little scrubbing of the heels was part of any standard pedicure! Then he quickly got very irritated with me and proceeded to ignore me. I never raised my voice and was only trying to get him to understand my point. Needless to say, they lost a good customer. read more

My first experience with this salon was great, good service and I felt papered after my mani pedi. I went today and the woman went crazy on my feel. I have very cracked heels (why I try and get regular pedicures) and she put so much of whatever they use for the treatment on me feet that I have oozing sores on my ankles and tops of my toes. She also put it on three times! I told her that was enough that it was hurting but she kept insisting my heels were bad. If that is the case work on my heels and dont burn my feet with whatever chemical you are using. I was almost crying in pain as my skin swelled up and looked blistered. Also she got lotion and who know what else all over my slacks which I had rolled up to my knees. I mentioned it and she told me not to worry about it, it would come off. So now at work not only are my feet raw and oozing but I have stains all over my pants. I realize this was because of one person and others there are great but I will not be returning. read more

This place is horrible, my 19-year-old daughter went into get her first pedicure. She went at the invitation of her friend, my daughter is a little self-conscious of her feet so she's never had a pedicure. She goes in and The lady makes my daughter feel very self-conscious about her feet by constantly bringing up how short her toenails are and other problems where everyone there could hear. Then she wrapped a hot towel around her leg, not her feet and completely scalded her leg! Her excuse was, "some people have a higher tolerance for the heat ". This lady was pushy and rude and kept trying to get my daughter to buy a higher package pedicure. She left completely embarrassed. It was a very horrible experience for her. That is no way to treat a customer! When she got home, I called to get her money back, but the young receptionist who obviously was very inexperienced could not help me in anyway. She put me on hold for over 10 minutes I had to call her back and she acted like I was never on hold. I asked for her manager she told me his name was "Van" and that he suddenly is on vacation for two weeks. This seems like a very shady business, this receptionist was completely unwilling to help me in anyway. I only want her to credit the money back to my daughters debit card and she said she was in unable to do that without her manager being there. Apparently no one could help anybody until that manager comes back. How do you run a business that way? I really suggest you go elsewhere to get any nail service done. read more

This use to to be best nail place in town, not anymore. I started this several months ago. So I'm telling you about 2 visits. I have been coming here for 7 years. Now they never have enough staff weather you go weeknights or weekends. There nail polishes barely stay on. They are so watered down. There color selection is getting smaller. They make appointments and see you 20 minutes later. Then they rush you. They have no regard for your time. Last time they would not do a Bella pedicure because they said it was too late. Then why make appointment. I sure hope they can get back up to their excellent service but I won't be back for a long while: well I came back. There computers were down they told me I may have to wait up to 20 minutes. No problem I went as long as I know in advance.i wanted a Bella pedicure. they have no paraffin:( I did a regular pedi. The over sell for callous removal was ridiculous. The massage was less than 30 seconds. Yes I timed it. Very sad will not be back. read more

I've been to Cest Lamour Nail many times in the past. Unfortunately I work on the other side of town so I usually go on my lunch our to a salon closet to my workplace which is "so so". This past weekend I needed a gel manicure and decided to go back to Cest Lamour. When I walked in, it smelled so good! Like a real spa. They have the TV's on (muted) and there was nice relaxing music on. Ivan the manager is always walking the salon to make sure things looks clean & organized, spa tubes are cleaned and always ready for the next guest. When I arrived it wasn't too busy so I decided to also get a spa pedicure. Mimi did my pedicure. She's quiet and very efficient. I have to say that if you want a great leg massage, you should request Mimi!. I got the french tip pedicure and it looks great, very natural. For my gel manicure I had Karen. Again, quiet and efficient. Karen gave me the best arm/shoulder massage I think I've ever had at a nail salon. I will take the time to go after work or on weekends and stick with Cest Lamour. I called and made 3 appointments for Mother's Day. When I arrived I asked to have us all together because that was the only time during the day that my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I were going to be together. The guy at the front said that 2 of us were going to be in the back room and the 3rd person was going to be in the main room. I told him that wasn't ok because this was supposed to be our together time today. Then he sends a lady out to tell my sister-in-law the same thing. Needless to say, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law got 2 chairs together in the back room and I was stuck by myself in the main room. We didn't even get to spend any Mother's Day time together. What a wasted hour! I was trying to make our time together special instead it was ruined. I'm not going back because they knew we had 3 pedicures scheduled together and they didn't even try to get us together. They didn't care at all! read more

I came here for a gel manicure, after a great pedicure I had a week ago. However my gel manicure was just not OK! Firstly, the young woman cut my nails diagonally, and skewed. Then, with polish for the gel, she did in such a way that it bled into my nail beds. I told her it was done in a sloppy way and the manager was nice enough to come and ask her to fix it. But she did not let the gel dry properly and rushed me out and of course, my nails got ruined. 30 dollars down the drain. Never agin. read more

It was my first time there 1.5 weeks ago and I also went with my husband. I had a gift voucher for my birthday so I was excited about going there. My husband and I both had pedicures. We were so disappointed in the end and will never come back. My husband's pedicure was not 60 minutes, the woman was already finished after 40 min. and when my husband complained she pretended she could not understand, as their English was so bad. Two of his toes were even bleeding afterwards, because she obviously cut him somehow, but he recognized it later after we had already left. Both of our pedicures would have had the hot candle massage included, but when we were finished we both noticed that this was missing. So we complained, but both girls even got a little snippy asking us whether we did not know! How should we know if it is promoted differently in their brochure? My girl said that people who come here frequently know that they do not offer this any more... well - this is not my problem, then change your brochure or at least let the costumer know beforehand that this is not offered any more. My girl was also very tough while doing the massage, and when I complained about the missing hot candle massage she got snippy again stating that she even did 2 min. longer massage than usual! I did not leave any tip as I was so disappointed (especially as it was a gift for my birthday), my husband left a small tip, but later regreted it as well. The receptionist also did not apologize when we complained with him, this was really rude. We did not like the service nor did we like the pedicures in general. We will not be back. read more

So I decided to try a new nail place and picked Cest. The first time was a great experience then the second time I got a super bad infection in my big toe where they had cut me while doing the pedicure. I ended up with MRSA. I was on 3-4 different doses of antibiotics it was terrible. So dumb me wanted to give the place one more chance. They stuck me in the back with a broken chair so I had the lady move me, because that's the whole point going to get a pedicure is the massage chair. The guy in the front was yelling at the lady for moving me so I left and was treated so poorly by the guy in front I will never go back not to mention they need to sterilize their tools and put a bag in the bowl. I've been to this salon a few times... Every time but twice I have made appointments. We tend to get in faster when we just show up with out an appointment. But everytime I have made appointments for my mother and myself, or boyfriend and myself, I expect them to seat us together so we can talk.. they never do. They never take appointments seriously here. They just throw you in once they get an open spot Today however I had an appointment to get a Gel Pink and White set. I read it directly off of their menu board. He asked me if I wanted acrylic. I said "No, the gel pink and white set.." I tried desperately to explain what I wanted, but ended up getting a gel manicure, per Ivan's say... I even asked my manicurist if I was getting a set, and she said no, and Ivan told her what to do. After my nails were done I told Ivan "While my nails look nice, it is not what I wanted, this is what I wanted and pointed to it on the board" He said "oh you said you didn't want acrylics" I continued to explain to him that their menu clearly states what I asked for and that there is a separate for acrylics versus nail... he said "Oh well you know what you need to ask for next time" Not an apology or discount to come and do it again. Its very frustrating to ask for something they offer, and there is a language barrier. I do like that when I do go in there, that the people there know when you want to talk and when you don't. The manicures and pedicures there are hit and miss. Some times you get very good ones, sometimes very poor ones. For the basic mani/pedi's they are priced around the same for anywhere else, but I do feel that there nail enhancements are WAY over priced! My home town offers the same enhancements for half the price. Their fills as well are only five dollars cheaper than getting a full set. It should be about half the price if you ask me. The store is clean and nicer than most salons... but money and product wise... meh. read more

Got a gel manicure with Linda. Horrible! She totally messed up one nail while i was getting it done and peeled half of it off and just put more gel over it. Needless to say, it peeled of within 4 days. The entire manicure was chipped, ripped and peeling of within 4 days. I didn't do excessive swimming or any hands-on labor, so there's no reason this shouldn't have lasted. So, I'm never going back. Awful! read more

I like that you can make appointment online and they text you reminder. Although I have only gone there 6 times in 2 years the different receptionists always act like they know me. I had one gel manicure there by Peter a couple years ago and , rather than soak off my old gel polish, he simply peeled it off and the entire service took only 30 minutes when usually a gel manicure takes an hour, including the 15-20 minutes to soak off the old gel. Although the gel polish he did looked good and didn't peel for 3 weeks I was so horrified by the removal process I've never had another manicure there. I have had several royal pedicures by Mimi and they were okay. She seemed to just go thru the motions and didn't care if the massage felt good or if the scrubbing on the callouses was actually removing them. My feet didn't feel particularly different after the pedicure.The salon is so busy that the minute your service is over you have to go because they need your chair. They carefully measure out the product they use and work fast--it feels like an assembly line. I know I'll get a solid pedicure there but it's $55 for the all inclusive pedicure and not a completely relaxing and enjoyable time. read more

I was really excited to try this place since a friend recommended them, I was a little hesitant because of how expensive they were (my usual place is about $15 less for what I normally get). I liked their appointment setting routine (they text you a reminder), when you walk it it's pretty fancy and everyone is pretty friendly. The woman who did my pedicure was overly friendly, which is not bad, and she did a pretty good job, and the manicurist was okay as well (I got a regular mani), nothing special. As I sat in the chair I saw a TV that flashes a bunch of different manicure designs, I figured since they were advertising them, then it must have been work done by them...so for my second appointment I scheduled a gel mani/pedicure, I brought in a picture of what I wanted done with my nails (glitter ombre) and this was for a wedding I was in, well, apparently, the lady had NO IDEA what she was doing, on top of that she was extremely rushed, I am too nice to every say anything so I just went with it even though I absolutely hated it, this was one of those "nailed it" experiences, no joke, I am by no means picky but this was just awful. I'm more upset than anything at the fact that they advertised these beautiful nail designs that obviously was not their work (obviously just stock pictures), and the fact that she clearly did not know what she was doing, I would have rather her have told me that she was unable to do the design and make it look like the picture I brought in. I am definitely not happy, I wasted my money and will not be back. I have nothing bad to say about their customer service, but their work just doesn't justify their pricing by any means. read more

The service is less than stellar. Communication is lacking and the atmosphere is nothing to get excited about. I splurged and got their Royal package; not at all worth the money. Plus the $20 extra each for Gel Polish on my manicure and pedicure was a bit of a shock when I checked out. ($40 total!). But was told that is typical in California, so I guess I have a lot to learn as an out of stater. Can say the pedicure was nice but found that having the mani and pedi at the same time was not very relaxing. Plus the Royal Mani was just a typical mani with a paraffin wax treatment that barely had time to cool. You have one person asking you to do one thing and another to do another. With this and the added $40 my day of pampering was ruined. (I did expect to pay more for Gel Polish just not $40.) Overall I would not return as there are other options nearby . read more

Notice that the 55 minute Bella pedicure has been reduced to 40 minutes when it clearly states 55 minutes in the brochure. When I asked about it to the uncaring man at the desk he said it was "an estimate". This used to be the best nail place in SCV. Not anymore. They've gone down in customer service and since they are so busy they rush you in and out even if you choose a timed service. I've been coming here since it opened. It's a shame. read more

I have been coming to this salon for over 2 years and was very happy with all all my services. I returned a couple weeks ago to find the manager Ivan had moved on, and both my favorite technicians were also gone. Running the front is apparently the owner who needs to brush up on his people skills as well as his English as I was misquoted twice for the price of the services I wanted (once when I made advance appointment in person, second when I called same day to confirm) only to have to argue with him at time of payment as $28 now ballooned to $44. To his credit he honored the price but it was embarrassing to have to go through this. He only seemed willing to adjust price if I told him I was satisfied with my services rendered. Truthfully,I was not as I had come to expect a certain level of service being a regular who tips well above average. I hope they work things out, but for now I will be checking out the many other salons who are sure to welcome my business. read more

They are always great about getting me in on short notice. The salon is small so sometimes it feels a little crowded but I always get great service. I used to go to a local chain nail salon with my mom but I recently converted her over to this place. You also get a lot more for your money. SCREW THIS PLACE! Negative stars if possible! My friend was harassed and approached by a random male in the parking lot right in front. She was blocked in and degraded by the things this man said! We had an appointment at 6 for pedis. She went inside hoping to get help by employees or customers to call 911 and no one was there to help. Here you have a young woman by herself scared and no one helped her. As she was on the phone with her husband and me on conference I was walking 50 feet away from her to the salon. She walked in and BEGGED someone to call 911 and was only shushed by the front desk lady! I walked in at 5:54 pm to my friend terrified and not to mention we are regulars and always go together! The lady had the nerve to try and redirect me away from my friend and tell me they are ready for me! I told her I have 5 minutes and my friend is way more important Than you people! I then walked my friend to the car to ensure her safety. They front desk lady tried to offer my friend that she can move her car. Basically trying to get her to calm down and not interrupt her salon with commotion. As I was leaving this lady denied that my friend ever asked her to call 911 and that she kept asking her to shush and wait for me and if she wanted a mani! I will pay the 24$ and go to the nail fix for their customer service any day! I would never go to a place that wouldn't help a young woman and make sure she's safe before the reputation of their salon. Garbage if you ask me! read more
