    Continental Carbonics Products

According to the Internet, there are 4 places to get dry ice in Minnesota. That may have been the…read morecase at one time, but Continental Carbonics in Burnsville is now the only company to buy it. After our moving trucks were loaded, my freezer was the very last thing to be packed into the truck I was driving. I drove all of the way to Burnsville from Plymouth to buy my dry ice so that I could bring my frozen food with me. My husband thought I was crazy to go to the hassle and spend the extra money for the ice not to mention the long drive to pick it up when we already had tons of other things to finish before our move from Minnesota to Washington state. I was adamantly bound and determined to bring my food with me. I had homemade jam, homemade fudge, berries that I had previously froze from a local farm, a variety of meat, but most importantly a ton of ice cream. There was no way on earth, I would leave my ice cream behind. I called Continental Carbonics and explained my situation. The woman I spoke with truly seemed to know what she was talking about in terms of how much dry ice I would need for the amount of days, etc. Other then working on my aircraft with the delicious airplane food, that is kept frozen with small packages of dry ice, I had never been around it nor had I ever bought it. Upon entering the store, I had given my freezer measurement and they calculated the amount of dry ice that would be needed. Rather, then a numerous amount of small dry ice packages I worked with on the plane, the one I was given for the move was one big enormous chunk. The instructions on handling, transport and final destination were very thorough and each step was delivered very clearly. They really take the time to explain everything that is needed to know. For instant, try to utilize as much space as possible for the freezer to be full. Use brown paper bags, towels etc, rolled up to stuff between food items or any other open space. This allows your dry ice to last much longer Another tip is, once you arrive to your final destination, you can not plug your freezer into the outlet. The coils would actually become too cold and it will ruin your freezer. Your instructed to just let the extra dry ice do its thing, then when your freezer temperature is back down to normal ( I tested the ice cream ) that is when I plugged it back in. I was extremely impressed with this company. The people there are very knowledgeable, helpful and do not try to rush you. They patiently answer all of your questions and when you leave with your dry ice, you feel confident. Despite my husbands doubts, the $40.00 the dry ice cost me was well worth it. I certainly had a lot more money and time invested with the things I had already had in my freezer, and my food arrived exactly as hoped and my freezer is working just great!

So we have had so many different waste haulers in 5 years. For business and homes. Our current…read morehauler always has a smile on his face, shares a "good afternoon" and a wave. Always gives any kids a honk at their request and a has given kids a foam football. What kind of business is this?! In this day and age, and the levity of life complexities- this guy is amazing! Im sure his work isnt easy, and I know driving huge trucks into tiny unforgiving places to pick up -God knows what is in those dumpster's, Im sure pay isnt the best, & his truck always sounds like its about to break down, my other coworkers notice as well and comment about "this guy is pleasant, the others have no personality". So we will take his weekly smiles and waves! I want Waste Management to know they have a gem in this guy! I inquired and found his name to be "Craig L" per their offices. So- Happy Holidays Craig and Waste Management of Burnsville! We will try to give you a hot cup of coffee next week!

I am not a customer. Never would be. You shouldn't be either…read more My company neighbors the WM facility in Burnsville. This week, WM decided to dump literally piles of trash in my company's parking lot. Why, who knows? Maybe some disgruntled driver, but we don't even use WM for our trash service. WM tried to clean it up, but left quite a bit of trash in the lot, so much that we had to cordon off part of the lot. The worst part of it is, while driving in our lot, I happened to hit a piece of broken glass, puncturing my tire. My wheel is now over at Discount Tire getting the tire replaced. I tried contacting WM, but their doors are locked and they don't answer the phone. Maybe I'll file suit in conciliation court. Maybe I'll contact the local media. But until they get it thoroughly cleaned up, I won't be parking in that lot.
