We recently needed a radon test for a house we were thinking of buying. Vicki was very professional and she did everything she said she would. Sure enough the day after she picked up the sampling equipment so forwarded our test results to us. She coordinated entry into the house with the seller's agent so after our initial phone call, I didn't have to lift a finger to do anything. I would highly recommend Vicki and her company. I personally appreciate the fact that for something like radon (which can cause cancer), her company does radon testing and that's it. They do one thing, but they do it well.

He reviewed our moisture/mold issue. Told us what could be done in our basement, where, why and how. Sent an estimate which was very reasonable. The professional crew arrived as scheduled, reviewed everything they would do and went right to work. All three worked as a team.. They removed affected cupboards, walls and drywall taking them out of the house. Applied anti-microbial agent to the ceiling. Sealed the surface areas with fungicidal/bacterial inhibitor. They were careful with everything they moved and even worked on a couple of corners not noticed before. They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. When the job was complete one of the crew showed us what had been done. We are completely satisfied with the job they did and highly recommend them for any moisture/mold remediation you may need to have done. I built a house 4 years ago. Greg Schall did my heating and cooling. Greg was a great guy - professional, clean, organized. When my central air was not working all of a sudden, I gave him a call. He told me he retired a couple years ago and sold his company to a wonderful guy named William Young. Greg gave me his number to contact him. Upon contacting him, I got a call back from Bill (I believe) saying he'd get a service guy on it to call me and come out the next day. I got a call that evening from a Lenny or Larry saying he'd try to come out that evening but likely the following day. The following day I got a call from a different service rep Tyler. Tyler said he'd come by between 2-4. Tyler arrived that afternoon and proceeded to look at my thermostat. At first he thought I might need a new one. Then he proceeded to the furnace. He opened up the panel and looked around. He then proceeded outside to the 2 air conditioning units (I have one for my unit and one for my tenants). Long story short, he looked at both and said they were rusted and both needed needed new capacitors, new connectors and contactors. I was asking a lot of questions along the way and of course asked him about warranty and why after only a few years there is a problem with these. He asked if I covered them, I told him no. He said that's good because sometimes covering them can trap moisture. Then he asked if I was using chemicals near them, I said no. Basically he then concluded it was bad luck. I let him be to look at he furnace again and he called me when he was done. Said he was going to check with his boss about my warranty info and he was going to give me a discount of 20% off for today. I told him that although that's appreciated, NOT ONE OF THE 3 men I spoke with mentioned anything about a fee to provide an estimate. He said it was a diagnosis fee. I told him he'd have to invoice me because I was not prepared to pay him at that time. His boss proceeded to call me shortly after. Tyler told him I was upset and I told him I can't fathom why none of them mentioned their fee. He said it's COD and it's $80 per half hour. I said, "Isn't that something you inform your customers about prior to coming out?" He did not respond to that. He told me he'd look into any warranty and call me back. He never did. I know this is long but it gets better. I had someone else from another company come out to look at it same day. He was appalled at what he saw. Tyler put the disconnecter (on/off key on side of house) in for one of the units (mine) upside down. He also left the panel off the furnace (mine) which acts like a key to turn it on. He also left a wire/connector detached from one of the units (my tenants). By him doing all these things, neither unit would have ever even kicked on. I felt taken advantage of as a woman that doesn't know much of anything about air conditioners/central air units. He did not leave MY PROPERTY the way he found it. With all of these errors, I STRONGLY BELIEVE he did this on purpose so I'd have to ensure they come back to fix things. When the other guy finished up, all he had to do was replace 2 metal pieces (I think those are the contactors) on the ends of 2 wires and replace 1 wire. This company is completely unprofessional in inappropriate on how they handle customers. Not to mention they were basically given customers simply by the sale of the other company. I would not recommend.

I would highly recommend them and would use them again. I interviewed three moving companies. These guys impressed me the most. They called me back immediately and had the clearest pricing plan of any company in the Buffalo area. The day of our move they were on time and kept me updated on their arrival. They individually covered everything dresser, table, and bookcase to protect them. At the end of the move there was not a single mark on my walls or on any of my personal items. Most important these guys were respectful. Our move took all day and I never heard a bad word or inappropriate language. You always worry inviting a stranger into your house. These guys introduce themselves and we're polite to my whole family. Good Neighbors Moving was an excellent choice for our move and I would highly recommend them to anyone. These guys are professionals and take pride in their work.

However, for a small 1br house, they charged me $3255, which I can't get over -- it's just so much money. And along the way, they managed to break some of my furniture, and threw away some obvious keepsakes, like an embroidered elephant I got from Stitch Buffalo. One of my dining chairs had a loose crossbar, which they threw away, so I now need to replace my pair of chairs. They somehow managed to break a wheel clean off of my microwave cart -- the wheels lock, and my guess is that they tried to move it, and when it didn't roll, instead of picking it up, they gave it a hard shove. They left it propped up with a couple of my cookbooks. And for some reason they took apart my paper towel holder, and apparently threw away the screw that holds it together -- minor, but that's a trip to Home Depot, if I can find a screw that fits, and it's replacing the holder if not. I may find more damage as I reorganize, for all I know. They didn't offer any kind of refund/discount, and didn't even *apologize* for breaking things they clearly knew they had broken. I couldn't shop around, because Kleen Scene was the only company I could find that would clean my house while it had bedbugs (ugh, yes, bedbugs), and I had to have it done, but for $3200, it seems like people could be careful enough not to break a person's furniture. It feels like kicking a person when she's already obviously down, you know? If you need a place cleared out completely, these may be the guys for you, but if you need care taken with possessions you want to keep, maybe not.
