I recommend this dealership when shopping for a used car. I feel I got a great deal, and the buying process was simple. I will be back should I be in the market for a used car in the future! Despite us having a mechanic in our family and thus being able to provide Alex Gerz Radiator Co…read more with detailed descriptions of symptoms and our own attempts at repair, this shop charged us $133 to merely bleed our coolant system, despite the fact that we ourselves had already bled the coolant system no less than three times. Worse, when our vehicle was given back to us with the assurance that the problem had been fixed and that the vehicle had been test-driven to make sure of it, we immediately realized we had been lied to twice: the problem wasn't fixed, and had the mechanic actually driven it, he would have discovered that himself. As an aside, it took me no less than four calls and an email to get a hold of them. Needless to say, we will never again use their services, and will caution others to avoid them. Meanwhile, a different, HONEST mechanic had our vehicle for less than two hours when they made the correct diagnosis: blown head gasket and cracked engine block. Unless you enjoy being lied to and ripped off, do not take your vehicle to Alex Gerz Radiator.

Knowing that most places will do this for free if they could keep the R-12 they sucked out, I called to confirm this. This was the first place listed in the phone book for this type of service. After speaking with the owner over the phone and confirming that this service was indeed free, I headed to their place of business. Which of course was able to see me right away (no other customers). After watching them tear apart my car looking for my A/C piping, I politely pointed out the location of the outlets this "mechanic" was stumbling around looking for. He set up his vacuum which he ran for about ten minutes. After that he told me there was no R-12 in the car to begin with. After that I was handed a bill. I refused to pay the bill since the owner himself had told me the service was free. The mechanic refused to give me my car keys back. At this point I normally would have just avoided any further problems by paying the unwarranted bill, but something about that "mechanic" really ticked me off. I called the cops to report our dispute. To end this long story, I got my keys back without having to pay that bill, and the business owner was reprimanded for his bait and switch tactics. The cop told me I should never go back to this business for further service.

Their site will not show prices, asks you to click for Price. At this point they want all of your contact info. Since I am very busy I do not want constant calls so I supplied only my email. I get an email from a Herby, "Mitch wants a new Acura" He wouldn't give pricing as I asked but wants my phone number to call me. I Emailed back that I am looking for the price of the one I click on from their website. Next I get another email, " Is there a better way to connect?" Herby now goes into how he was unsuccessful reaching me and wants my phone number again, could text me, facebook me, every option except giving me the actual price. He goes on to explain they want me to feel un-pressured and have an awesome feeling. At this point, all I feel is that they just want my number in their contacts so that they can call me non stop. They hide their prices, will not give you anything unless you give up all your info. I will be sticking to one of the many other dealers that when you look on their site, clearly show pricing right away.
