It used to be that this was the baseline minimum you could expect going into any business. Sadly, that's no longer the case.

Brought in 24 Roque to have windshield replaced and calibration done. Windshield was replaced…read more Notified before pickup they could not due to calibration because they did not have updated software. I would need to take it somewhere else. The estimate had been based on doing both. They did not breakdown cost in estimate. Mind you there are safety features aligned with the calibration. Called around got estimate from Nissan. Told them how much it was and I expected it to be deducted from estimate. Long story short I walked away with an unsafe vehicle and an additional cost to get vehicle right. They should not have attempted the job if they could not do the whole job. This was just messy! I would not recommend using them for any replacements without guarantee they have what is needed to do the job. Additional time and money and putting someone in unsafe vehicle is the outcome. Beware.

I thought "Great, they replaced my windshield last time, this time should be no problem". The day of the appointment came and in ten minutes the Safelite guy tells me that he sees rust after removing the molding and that he can't replace my windshield or he will be fired. He leaves, having done nothing and I'm left with a car that can't pass inspection. I call my agent, pretty furious, and he gives me Rob's number since he uses Rob personally for his glass needs. I call Rob, and within minutes have a next day appointment and assurance that as long as the metal isn't rusted through, he should have no problem replacing my windshield. I had to work the next day so we work out a plan on where I'll put the deductible check in the car, and when I get home that evening, the windshield is replaced and an invoice is in the seat. I won't use those national chains again. I learned through my local agent that insurance companies get paid money by national chains to be the default providers for claims. In Virginia, I get to chose who does the repairs on my car, so why wouldn't I want the money to go to a local business? The owner answered the phone, got the work done, and I couldn't be more pleased. I'll post the picture of the work done on my 97 Toyota Corolla beater I drive to and from work.
