i needed a quick windshield patch up from a rock hitting it, called and they were able to get me that day but chose the morning after, super affordable read more

Kind. Prompt. Fair. Look no further for your glass needs. It actually felt good to do business with someone in the car industry, for once, and as a woman no less read more

Brought in 24 Roque to have windshield replaced and calibration done. Windshield was replaced. Notified before pickup they could not due to calibration because they did not have updated software. I would need to take it somewhere else. The estimate had been based on doing both. They did not breakdown cost in estimate. Mind you there are safety features aligned with the calibration. Called around got estimate from Nissan. Told them how much it was and I expected it to be deducted from estimate. Long story short I walked away with an unsafe vehicle and an additional cost to get vehicle right. They should not have attempted the job if they could not do the whole job. This was just messy! I would not recommend using them for any replacements without guarantee they have what is needed to do the job. Additional time and money and putting someone in unsafe vehicle is the outcome. Beware. read more

From beginning to end = fantastic experience. Our new car had gotten a chip on the windshield with a flying rock. It was slightly concerning so we got our pic and I decided to reach out through email. Of course, I'm one of those people who emailed Friday afternoon (my bad) and I heard from Lorri Tuesday morning. She was quick to respond right away with my concern and setting up an appointment was super easy. I had my appointment this past week and it was easy to find and I was helped right when I walked through the doors! Fortunately, we didn't need to replace the whole windshield and the chip was an easy repair. I sat around for about maybe 45 mins and it was done! Easy to set an appointment, smooth transaction, and fantastic work/service. I definitely know I'll be reaching out to these guys if anything else happens with our automobile windshield! Thanks! read more

Let me start by saying I got hooked by the non stop radio commercials on 102.1. "Sandra" claims they go through the utmost care in replacing your windshield and doing it right. That is why I ended up at this business. Reason for missing two stars is as follows. Arrived on time and waited for car. A gentlemen walked around the car with me noting damage that was pre existing. I waited and everything appeared to be fine and upon getting into my car to leave I looked in the rear-view mirror to find it was cracked and broken beyond repair. I thought it was weird as no person came out to apologize for the damage. I know things happen and would have appreciated the notification before I attempted to leave. A different guy than before came out to see what was the matter and explain what happened. Turns out the guy that walked around the car with me was the one who lied about the mirror being already broken. All in all they rectified the issue, however, it would have been nice just to have a quiet windshield install. I do have a top tip for any windshield repair shop, might be best to remove the mirror first BEFORE taking the windshield out of the car... it has less of a chance to fall off the glass hitting the shop floor and then having to lie about it already being broken before. Pathetic. No safety, no satisfaction, no smileys. read more

Excellent, knowledgeable, caring technicians. Big THANK YOU to Daniel and Tim. They were a joy to work with. Daniel repaired my window and regulator as if he was working on his own car. His attention to detail and expertise are top notch. I will always go to Smileys for all my auto glass repairs. read more

I had an excellent experience - again. Typically I will bring a vehicle to the shop but this time I had them come to me. They were on time courteous, explained everything to me and were done within a reasonable amount of time. As long as I keep getting great service at a reasonable price, I will continue to use Smiley's. read more

I have used these folks for many years. They are very organized and efficient. They have been in the same location for at least as long as I have lived in Bon Air (30 yrs+) so I sense they are protective of their well deserved good reputation. Recent repair of window regulator came in at 134 bucks, which seemed very fair priced. read more

Family owned, professional, and friendly. Replacement takes longer than those mobile guys--expect a two-hour wait--but they do it right. Beautiful work, and they leave your car vacuumed and dash dusted. The car was cleaner than when it went in. Smiley's makes it easy to work with your insurance company. They provided me with all the information necessary to file the claim with the insurance company. Employees explained every part of the process. Nice, comfortable waiting area with TV with remote, so you can change the channel. Business is also adjacent to shopping area, so you can leave and be called when your car is ready. They let me know when the car was completed and fifteen minutes from being safely to drive (curing time required). Will definitely return if I need auto glass replacement. read more

Service was the BEST! I had been battling with one of the big glass chains for 6 months. I called Lori and she had me scheduled and serviced in less than a week. She navigated the insurance process and getting my (very limited) glass like a pro. I could hear the smile on her face when I spoke to her on the phone. Highly recommend! read more

I had a great experience here! I needed a new drivers side mirror after someone hit me on the street. I was able to be in and out of here very quickly and for a fraction of what everyone else quoted me. The staff is super nice and accommodating as well. Will definitely be going here again! read more

I booked an appointment to replace a piece of quarter glass that had been broken by a flying rock. The customer service rep I booked the appointment with was new and accidentally ordered the wrong glass. But, when I showed up, Lori took charge and found the right glass and sent someone to get it. It was actually more than twice what I had been quoted but the owner, who came out personally to meet me and apologize, gave me a substantial discount to make up for it. The work was excellent and the customer service was superior...I will recommend to everyone who needs this kind of repair! read more

Would not use again. Took 2 weeks to get an appointment and when service techs finally came out, they had the wrong glass. Had to wait an additional 2 days for them to reschedule and missed work. Owner refused to make any adjustments on the price as a courtesy. Terrible customer service. They didn't value my time and didn't seem to care. Wouldn't use again. read more

Smiley's is awesome! They replaced the windshield on my wife's 2021 Forester and recalibrated the Eyesight on time and correctly. This is not a trivial install. Thank you Smiley's! read more

I had a windshield claim through my insurance company. I like to use local businesses when possible and I chose Smiley's. From the initial call to the service, everyone was polite and professional. The day of the service, I received a confirmation call. They came to my home in the West End even though they are based in South Side. The technicians were halfway through my replacement when a storm blew up. They quickly moved my car to shelter and finished the job - on time and with no water in my car despite the downpour! Thank you for your professional, polite and I would highly recommend them for all your glass needs! read more

Disappointing, very low communication I had to even call and find out when they were coming. And they couldn't really give me an answer. Essentially they said just wait the whole day and will let you know. I asked will they call when they're on the way and they said oh I guess I can put a note in for that. SMH. Will never use this company again. I have friends at work for cable companies and they give at least to our windows. This company wants me to wait the entire day on a weekday For when it's convenient for them. As you can see they were nit interested in using this as an opportunity and try to help me or just COMMUNICATE clearly. So I took their suggestion and went to another business. STRONGLY SUGGEST USING Binswanger Glass over them any day. read more

Schedule almost two weeks out and the day before the cancel the appointment at 3:00pm. Company is a joke save your money!

My rear view mirror fell off and I went to seven different places and nobody would fix it for me. They are the most kind and helpful people and do everything at a reasonable price. They made me an appointment the very next morning after I called, and made time to squeeze me in. Definitely recommend their services!! read more

I ended up with a small starburst crack in my windshield on a recent road trip on I-95. The crack was starting to grow a bit over the weekend due to the summer heat so I know I needed to repair it quickly as soon as we returned home. So I looked to Yelp to find a windshield repair shop with the best reviews/ratings for help. The Yelp site has a cool feature now where you can request quotes from multiple shops at once, which I did. 3 out of the 4 responded very quickly and I selected Smiley's. The service rep was very helpful and friendly. We were going to arrange for them to come to me at my workplace but their truck would not be able to get into my work garage due to height. So instead, husband took my car in to their shop while I was at work, saving my insurance/me $15 (costing $60 instead of $75). Husband said work at the shop was fast and prompt. But we can still see the scar of the crack. But as long as the crack is sealed and does not grow, I will be happy. read more

I got a crack in my windshield filled here a couple of years ago and they did a decent job. I was told that if anything went wrong it would be covered. The crack has started to spread so I called them back to see what they could do. They did offer to take the original amount I paid for the fill ($60) off the price of a new windshield. However, they want to charge me $477 to replace the windshield. Every other place has quoted me between $210-$250, so $477 sounds ridiculous! I would definitely recommend shopping around before letting them replace your windshield. read more

I took my wife's truck in for a windshield replacement. After a seemingly flawless installment, I discovered a defect related to the preparation and reinstallment sometime later. After an initial disagreement with one of the senior staff members, who was being somewhat appropriately skeptical, I spoke directly with Mrs. Sandra Smiley Carrique. True to her advertisement, and her personal testimonial of continuing her father's business legacy, the issue was resolved within ten to fifteen minutes. To anyone considering Smiley's services, I will strongly recommend their willingness to stand behind their workmanship warranty. As with any product or service claim: 1) Be honest 2) Have verified proof 3) And most importantly, treat the business with the cordialness and calm demeanor that you expect. P.S. Mrs. Sandra Smiley Carrique, as a dad of two grown sons myself, your father certainly has to smiling down on you as very proud dad! To have a daughter continue his legacy, with his sense of acumen, customer service, integrity, ethics, and family-owned pride, is the epitome of of parenthood! read more

Extremely professional team. Racheem was efficient, on time, and very courteous. Windshield looks great, they even vacuumed the inside. Smiley's came to my place of business and gave me a 15 minute heads up on their way. Windshield is alsowarrantied for any leaks. Definitely would use Smileys again and recommend to others. read more

Great communication from the beginning to the end of the experience. Easy drop off and no contact payment. When I got my car back it was even cleaner than when I dropped it off. Nice touch to vacuum and wipe down the car. The window looks great and all my stickers (inspection and EZ pass, etc.) were transferred with no issues. Great experience! read more

The BEST customer service from ANY company I've used in years!! Laurie & Linda were empathetic & efficient! They got my windshield order switched over (from Safelite) & verified that the part was in stock. Safelite had no called/no show after we waited 2 weeks for an appt! I work at Haley Chevrolet & a friend here recommended Smileys. It's been a breeze ever since! They called to confirm the day of service & Ronnie & Mike arrived promptly. These guys were hard working & did an amazing job on our rear windshield!! Absolutely Dependable wonderful company. I highly recommend them for glass replacement. read more

Friendly folks, good pricing, and a perfect job on my windshield. Not much more to ask for. I like to give my business to local companies when I can, too. My last repair from from a large chain -- let's just say it begins with "S" and ends with "afelite" -- and it wasn't very well done. Smiley's even fixed the mistakes the other guys made. So yeah, highly recommended. read more

Nothing but good things to say about Smiley's. Good communication, great install at the appointed time.

A true professional and knowledgeable staff. The workmanship was outstanding. Thank you! I would recommend this business to anyone.

Horrible service. Bait and switch. Cowardly owner. Received a written price after giving them the make, model and Vin # of car for back windshield. The installation was scheduled and the car was brought in on the scheduled date and time. A few hours later they called to say the price they quoted of $478 was now going to be close to $800 and asked if I still wanted them to install it. They gave me a bogus reason that "their system" showed my car as being a 1998, not 2004. How??? They had the VIN, make and model. They refused to honor the written price offered, now saying it was just a quote! After trying to reason with the manager, he said there was noting they should do. I asked for the name and contact info of the owner. One of the employees wrote down the owners name on post it note (yes, a real professional way of doing business), not a business card. Turns out, the woman "hiding" in the background was in fact the owner and didn't step up to speak to us until then. What a coward! She then reiterated that there was nothing they could do and said she didn't appreciate us talking the way we did (we never yelled or used foul language) and told us to leave. We did and would NEVER use this despicable place nor ever recommend it. FYI - we got the back windshield replaced the next day at the dealership for $475. Hmm- apparently they got the same info from the VIN that Smileys had. We have renamed the company "slimey's!" You should ashamed of how you tried bait and switch us! read more

Brought in my car to have the windshield replaced. All went according to plan until it was time to leave. After sitting in their waiting area for over 3&1/2 hours, I was informed there would be an additional delay of 30 minutes to allow for the adhesive to cure. I acknowledged this and signed a piece of paper that stated the same. I paid my bill. I asked for my keys and they would not give them to me, stating that the car , my property would not be returned to me until the cure time has expired. I stayed that I had a few things that I wanted to put into the car. The office staff again reiterated that my keys would not be returned to me until the cure time had expired. I once again stated that I understood that the vehicle was not to be driven until he adhesive cured and had signed their paperwork stating the same. I once again insisted that I wanted my property returned to me. They stayed that they would not. It wasn't until I got loud and insisted time and time again that they had no right to hold my property that someone relented and returned me my keys. UNEFFINGBELIEVABLE!!! Never got a receipt. Never again!! You all lost a customer for life. read more

Fast, accurate and careful with the insurance paperwork, patient with me as I verified that it was all in order, and they made sure the inspection sticker transferred properly to the new windshield. Highly recommended. :) read more

Smiley's Glass - Smiley with his truck at our house. Great service! - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

I had the glass on my car replaced at a very competitive price. The servicemen arrived at my car on time and were friendly and knowledgable. About a month out, I am very satisfied with my new windshield and would definitely use Smiley's for future glass repair. read more

I got a crack in my windshield. At the the recommendation of my insurance company, I called Smiley's. I left the car at my house and made arrangements for my wife to take me to work while they came out and replaced the glass. Afterwards, I discovered that they had failed to hook the windshield washer hose back up. This required leaving the car again at home for them to come and fix it. I then discover that the windshield they installed was distorted on the lower edge which made the lines in the highway appear as though they were diving in on me. I scheduled a third appointment and again made alternate arrangements for transportation to work when they came out a third time to do the job right. The two technicians who installed the second windshield were pleasant. However, that does not make up for the company's inefficiency (incompetence?) nor the inconvenience it caused me. read more

I had a chip (size of a quarter) on the windshield and decided to give Smiley a try based on the recommendations and to support local RVA businesses. I called Geico and they pushed for Safelite since they are on the scheduling network. I requested Smiley and surprised to learn that Smiley is authorized and part of the vendor network with approved warranty.I called them in the morning, talked to friendly Wendy who scheduled me for the repair on the same day at my work place. 2 employees came and promptly repair the windshield. They were courteous and professional. I paid no deductible and happy to have the repair done professionally. I highly recommend Smiley. read more

Sandra and her team are wonderful! I called about my front windshield and she walked me through the entire process. I had a rock hit my windshield and it cracked in different directions all the way across. There was no repairing this one, so I knew I would have to have it replaced. I heard Smileys commercials and decided to give them a try. I stopped by their shop on Forest Hill Avenue one morning just to get a quote on replacement. They gave me a quote that was less than what I was expecting (less than $200), and told me they could have it done by lunch time. The office staff were friendly and professional. I left my truck there and 2 1/2 hours later they called and said it was done. Looks good and they said they stand behind their work. I hope I don't have any more broken windshields, but if I do I will definitely do business with them again. read more
