Not a dermatologist or even doctor at all - mrs rot gupta is misrepresenting her education completely. Doesn't know what she's doing

They are good to go too. The one doctor out of the two I saw was questionable with her personality.

First things first, it is incredibly hard to find a surgical dermatologist. In this field it often seems like aesthetics over everything. Before the pandemic ruined everyone's life I was being seen at 2 practices in north jersey - the first one didn't seem to understand why I would be bothered that my alopecia spots weren't healing and the second practice stopped taking insurance after my second appointment. As each injection is hundreds of dollars lmao that promising relationship ended quickly. Healthcare for the rich indeed. For the last 5 years I've been managing the patchiness on my own to inconsistent effect. Recently, another unrelated issue requiring surgery kicked me into high gear to find a new provider. I sought recs from my local FB group, friends and family, etc but they all kept leading me down cottage skincare and other lanes. It was actually a good old-fashioned Google search that led me to Dr. Patel. Bravo on winning the SEO game! From the moment I called (and rescheduled thrice due to car trouble - dang it MINI), the office was welcoming, accommodating, and scheduling relatively quick appointments. On my first visit, Dr.Patel and his team were thorough, curious, and caring. I felt so comfortable with them and I felt like I mattered. In many ways women become "invisible" after age 40 - add race and body size to the mix and it can be difficult to get the care and compassion needed to navigate health challenges. Dr. Patel suggested I get a full blood work up - and actually caught my low iron and anemia. So many somatic mysteries cleared up just because someone listened and cared. I have a surgical procedure scheduled in a few weeks that will bring me immediate comfort and the topical meds and injections Dr. Patel is giving me have restarted hair growth in some persistent patchy spots. I'm very thankful I found this practice!

Always nice, nice. She billed my healthcare provider for (12) skin keratosis when I had (5) removed on my hands by freezing. I called her office and said they overcharged me for services performed and over billed my provided. My provider paid 60%. I was stuck with the over billing. They did nothing to resolve my issue. They know patients are busy and have little time to solve medical billing issues. So, she successfully keeps running her scam. Because it works for her! That's how she make BIG money. I would never ever go there again!!! She is dishonest and staff from front desk to assistants are all in on the billing scam.

During my first appointment over 10 years ago, she had identified basal cell carcinoma on my face and subsequently biopsied and then successfully removed it with MOH surgery. From that time onward, I would drive to wherever she practiced despite there being many other closer dermatologists. My whole family travels the 45 min drive to see her for any skin issue and are always happy with her professional and friendly demeanor. Highly recommend!!

I attempted to advocate for myself and pay out of pocket for any of the tests to get a REAL understanding of what is going on with my skin. AN ACTUAL DIAGNOSIS not an "I think". She provided RX. Spent a lot of money on "hypothetical" treatments like the Rx and OTC aids for the "I think" diagnosis. At four-week BIOPSY appointment, Doctor REFUSED to do biopsy and asked ME what made HER think of the diagnosis. WHAT? Is this a prank? Does a Dr not read notes from prior visit. She handed me a phone number to see an allergist within the group to proceed with skin patch testing - she COULD do one of the types of skin patching tests THERE but it would be best for me to go to the recommended allergist because she no longer thinks I have what she said I had four weeks ago. Allergist within group would be more conclusive. FRUSTRATING. When I called Allergist Office, they expected me to do a consultation appointment prior to doing the testing the referral was for. RIDICULOUS and not helpful. Complete unempathetic. To top it off, 3 visits at Dermatologist, paid same co-pay at each visit. Received my EOB from insurance carrier; I overpaid every time. I had to call the Dermatologist Office to REQUEST a REFUND. They said there was a credit on my account for overpay which is hilarious since they never once offered it to me to pay for subsequent visits. RIDICULOUS - UNPROFESSIONAL - DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! Oh, and one month later, still don't have refund.

The building is big and easy to spot, conveniently located off Exit 10 from Route 287. The parking lot is huge. Signs in the building lobby were easy to follow and I quickly found the dermatologist office on the second floor. The staff at the front desk greeted me pleasantly and efficiently entered my information into the computer. I was brought into an exam room right at my appointment time, no waiting! I liked both of the doctors who did my exam today, Dr. Wassef and Dr. Milgraum. They were both knowledgeable, warm, and had a good sense of humor, and listened to all of my questions. I felt very comfortable with both of them and plan to remain a patient here. This facility is bright and clean, and looks like it was recently renovated. It was an inviting space to be in. They accept my insurance so I only had to pay $15 on the way out.

I understand that people have concerns about Covid but we both had good masks on and I followed every precaution. She never gave me a proper examination. I felt that she just brushed me off and wanted to get the hell out of the room. In addition, they made repeated billing errors and I haven't been able to find someone there to correct it. Now they send me bills for something that I paid in full when service was rendered. I would NOT recommend her or Rutgers Dermatology to anyone. Spare yourself needless hassles and avoid this place like the plague.
