Let me state that the only reason this "dealership" has received ONE star is because 0 is not an option. Last July (2014) I had found a vehicle on Certified Auto Outlet's website that i wanted to look at. The lady who was there (Michelle) let us test drive the car, as the cars gas light had already been on we could only go a block from the dealership & back. The "maintenance required" light was on, however the car seemed to run fine. It was a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer. Ultimately, I decided on purchasing this car with the requirements that the car would be looked at & serviced since i was told that the car was very new, one owner & that the maintenance light was just an initial prompt for an oil change which they would delightfully take care of! After a few days we went back to pick up the lancer, I hadn't even gotten 6 miles from the dealership before the "maintenance light" came back on. I work at an auto parts store & decided to put an OBD scanner on the car, which came back with various codes for the vehicles timing & about 11 other random codes. All very serious. It turned out that this particular vehicle didn't have an actual "check engine light" as most cars do and that the "maintenance required" light that prompts for most newer cars to be serviced for routine maintenance was the actual check engine light. Nice. I called back the dealer who then argued for an idiotic amount of time that this light is not the check engine light, that the shitty lube tech hadn't reset the light after the oil change. After screaming on the phone to the owner (Rick) that he clearly has idea what he is talking about we agreed that i would just bring the car back to be serviced as getting a refund for the vehicle was out of the question. (mind you, at this point i had the car for 2 days). The very next day, I took my then 7month old son & boyfriend to Shop right to go grocery shopping & on the way home the engine blew up on the side of a VERY busy highway (295) where we had to get it towed to a shop where it sat for 2 months before i even gotten any insight of what happened or what was going to happen with this car. I demanded a refund for this vehicle since the 2nd day i had it. It took 3 1/2 months, with NO car, countless other vehicles that were thousands of dollars more that they were trying to SELL me, which they considered to be fair, to get a refund for a vehicle that i had in my possession for a total of 3 days. Ridiculous. Their customer service was the worst i had ever experienced. It would be days, weeks before they would call me with updates. The owner was always "out to lunch" and the saleswoman was always "with a client" every time i called - which was about every other day for months. I would like to say that i wouldn't recommend this "establishment" to my worst enemy. The cars that they sell are junk lemons & unless you decide to take legal action you will not be refunded due to any circumstance (even if your engine blows up, as mine did on a car with less than 50 thousand miles.) read more
