Complete Fail. I scheduled a polyaspartic garage floor coating with an 8:00 AM start time. The crew never showed, and after I called at 8:20, I was told they'd arrive by 9:30. When I checked in around 10:45, I found them using Home Depot rental grinders that clearly weren't prepping the floor properly. After a FaceTime with the project manager, he confirmed the equipment was wrong and said he'd bring the correct grinder. He later arrived with proper equipment and a generator -- but the generator had no gas, and even after refueling, it wouldn't start. They ultimately told me they couldn't complete the job and offered a refund of my deposit. What was supposed to be a one-day install turned into a completely wasted day with no work done. To make matters worse, one of the workers entered my home and used our bathroom without permission -- there were clear, dusty footprints leading from the garage to the bathroom. They also left my driveway a dusty mess (pictured). My biggest concern is that if I hadn't stopped by to check on them, they would have gone ahead and installed the coating on an improperly prepped floor. Amy O. was kind and apologetic, but Jay C. could definitely use some customer service training -- it wasn't until the very end that I got a brief "I'm sorry for everything." I would have expected at least a discount or gesture of goodwill, but instead they simply said they couldn't complete the work properly and had no timeline for when they could so they offered a refund. Overall, extremely poor preparation, communication, and quality control. I can't recommend this company based on my experience. I'll update this review if they actually return to clean off the driveway as promised. read more

We reached out to CertaPro Painters to request a commercial quote on painting some of our offices on Tuesday, Sept. 21. I heard from rep Ana Orellana later that day and we scheduled an appointment. On Wednesday, Sept. 29, representative Walter Music came and measured our office and took photos. I did not hear anything back so I reached out to them on 10/5, 10/15, and 10/20. Each time they replied that someone was "out of town" or "been out with the Covid", and promised that we'd get our quote "by the end of the week". It is now Thursday, October 28, 1 full month since they came and measured our office and took photos, and we still have not received any sort of quote or estimate from this company. I understand someone being sick with Covid but you're telling me not one single person in their office could look at a few measurements and jot down a ballpark figure for painting? Unbelievable. We had two of their competitors out and both companies were able to provide quotes within 48 hours. If our job is too small or they are not interested in quoting on it, or if they are too busy, they should say so. But to string someone along for a month without even giving them a price is no way to run a business. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

CertaPro Painters - Painters Near Me - Sterling, Virginia

I can't recommend them enough. Found Certa online and needed someone to come ASAP - I was able to schedule an estimate right away, and let me tell you, the customer service was above and beyond. Susie came to do an estimate and was just the sweetest person - very efficient and put everything together (pricing and scheduling) within the hour (we needed quite a few rooms done with wallpaper removal, hole patching, and painting). Once the team arrived to start the job, they were very friendly and extremely fast! I was thinking it would take at least 3 days, but they finished in 2 AND offered to help put back all the heavy pictures on the walls. They moved all the furniture for me before and after the job too. They did a perfect job, and very affordable! Susie also sent me the sweetest letter in the mail just to show her condolences to my recent family loss that I had told her about during the estimate - that is above and beyond customer service. read more

My experience with CertaPro Painting was disappointing. The work contracted was to paint and caulk three window boxes, eight patio doors, and a double-hung front door with casement windows. While "most" of the trim work was completed, I found multiple corrections that needed to be completed upon my initial inspection. Now that the DC region has experienced its first sustained cold snap, I'm noticing additional caulk areas that have either shrunk due to inferior product used or were not caulked, to begin with, and were painted over. In addition, it seemed as though the work crew was not interested in providing a high-quality product; they were more interested in getting the job done quickly and skimping on their products. I will not use them again. read more

Susie was professional when she came in for the estimate and was great throughout the process. At the time of the meeting we were told we can dedicate one bathroom to the workers but they ended up using/blowing up all of them. The workers were friendly. Had a lot of stains on my LVP that won't come out and they scratched some in my flooring. Painting wise was solid but not out of this world. I went with this company that charges a bit more for top service but I wouldn't say they delivered as well as expected. read more

I highly recommend CertaPro Painters of Loudoun. They were the first company to return my calls. They were very prompt to come to my home and gave me a professional estimate. The crew they sent was awesome. The got the job done and were very professional and did an excellent job. I just moved to a new house so I will definitely use them again for my painting needs. Renzo Jaramillo was my on-site supervisory and he was extraordinarily professional and as I mentioned above did an excellent job!! read more

I will NOT recommend certapro ainters Loudoun. They are scam, liars and tr y to take advantage of the situation. Their rates are vicious and fake. Quality of their work sucks. Beware of them. read more

I highly recommend CertaPro Painters of Loudoun. They were so accommodating and answered all of my questions before the job. Susie was extremely helpful, and Marco and his team did an excellent job and completed the job in only 2 days. I will definitely use them again! read more

Susie was wonderful to work with during our estimate. Renzo and his team completed some interior painting on my house. They were on time, professional, and were cognizant of both my husband and I working from home. They worked diligently to complete the job quickly and everything looks immaculate. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have painting done. read more

This was our first project with CertaPro of Loudoun, although I had received an estimate from them for a prior project where we went with 'the other guys'. In the end I regretted going with 'the other guys' and I promised to try CertaPro the next time I had need for a painter. Overall, we're very happy with the service from start to finish. The quality service started with Gary, who came out right away to survey the work area and then quickly put together a detailed estimate. When the estimate came in below what I thought it would cost, I asked Gary to expand the project and he revised the quote right away. The crew - lead by Diego - arrived right on time each day and worked tirelessly. I particularly appreciated the focus on the little things, which take up a lot of time but make a huge difference in the end - for example, proper taping, muding and sanding, and use of tarps for protection. This was a medium-sized project and included a large 2-story living room, so the crew had to work slowly and carefully on ladders which ended up having the project run longer than I think they originally estimated. But, CertaPro made sure there was no break in work and even when the original crew had to turn to another project another painter showed up to do the final coat and trim painting. We only had one issue, which was a failure of communication. Based on the paint we selected, CertaPro estimated 2 coats but cautioned we might need a 3rd coat for full coverage (which would have added more than a thousand dollars). After the second coat was applied, the painters seemed to think 2 coats were enough but we were not sure and we wanted to wait for it to fully dry and to see it during the daylight. The next day, though, the painter arrived and started applying a third coat without prior approval. When we received the bill and it included a 3rd coat, CertaPro acknowledged this was an error on its part because we never signed a revised contract for a third coat and that there had been a communications breakdown. We're now several weeks post-project and we are thrilled with the work. We intend to hire CertaPro again, notwithstanding the one issue. read more

The complete experience from Gary Cc's initial visit, walkthrough and estimate through the actual painting was incredible and carefree. The painting process was very well thought out and executed. We could not have been more pleased with the results and transformation of our home. You can't go wrong choosing CertaPro Painters of Loudoun. read more

Levi, Marvin & Chewy (I'm not sure that I got his name right) did a great job painting the external of my house. Levi and his crew were professional, knowledgable and courteous. I scheduled the paint job with CertaPro of Sterling and the work started on the same week. I had a lot of rotten wood around my house's windows and it took CertaPro 2 days of carpentry works and 2 days to paint. They cleaned up at the end of each work day & promptly addressed several minor touch ups. Highly recommended. read more

CertaPro is a fantastic company! I would recommend them to anyone for any job, big or small. Every person we interacted with was kind, professional, and very personable. We first met Amir when he measured for our estimate. He was very clear in explaining the process and the associated costs. He was also knowledgeable about all types of paint and where they should be used. His precise estimate was provided to us the very same day he measured, and perfectly reflected our discussions regarding our desires. We then met Jose, who was the onsite job supervisor. He was polite and professional, taking great care to ensure he knew everything we wanted, and he double-checked to ensure his supplies accurately matched our order. He was a hard worker and his team was also friendly and a joy to work with. They were even good humored when my little dog kept escaping to say "hello" to all the painters. Hans visited our home every day to ensure everything was proceeding as planned, and making certain that we were happy with the work being done. Javier installed wallpaper on an accent wall, and his work was superb - exacting with a pattern that appeared difficult to match. He pointed out areas that were not perfect because of the settling of the house and window frames that were not perfectly square. The areas he saw as "imperfect" looked pretty perfect to me! He is amazing at his job. Finally, Maddie took before and after photos. She was polite and did her job quickly and unobtrusively. Basically, CertaPro is the best painting company we have ever used. We highly recommend them - we will never go anywhere else in the future for our painting needs! read more

I had CertaPro repair and paint my upstairs two bedroom apartment, and was very impressed with their work. They patched up places on the walls that I didn't even realize were damaged, they left the place spotless when they were done, and were very good about working around my 3 dogs that came and went through their work space. I'm bringing them back to do another job in a couple of weeks, very highly recommended. read more

Levi and his crew have done it again. I have been a CertaPro (Loudoun) customer for many years because of this great team of professionals. They are meticulous in ensuring the work is done correctly, efficiently and with the utmost concern for my home. What I truly love about this team, is they CARE about customer satisfaction. They will do anything to ensure you are happy with the end product. I will always recommend CertaPro for our painting needs. Thank you again! read more

I did a lot of contemplating about whether to write this review, but after looking at the finished product for almost a week, I decided to write a review. The process started well. Susie was knowledgeable and responsive, and CertaPro was one of the lower estimates I received for painting. I requested the foyer, stairwell, kitchen, half bath, trim, stairs, and board and batten be painted. I also asked whether they could repair and paint trim on my garage and hang a French door which needed to be mitered for the handle and hinges. The answer was yes to all of my requests. I was told the work would take three to five days. Two painters showed up at 9:30 to discuss the job and then went to buy paint. They started around 10:45 by covering my furniture. The first areas to be painted went well and looked good. From there, they started to rush. They stopped painting at 5:00. The next day I left for work, and my daughter stayed at home. When I arrived home, there were three painters. One was cleaning a paint bucket and brush on my front lawn. They finished at 5:45, but I couldn't walk through because the stairs were painted last, so I was stuck. The next couple of days I walked through the entire job and took over a hundred pictures of areas not painted, paint on fixtures, paint drips, sloppy lines, a big splat of paint on top of a cabinet, paint on my front door, the handle, and all over my hose. A week later they sent me an invoice, and I called them to explain the work that needed to be fixed plus the garage trim was patched, not fixed, so the next rain left a huge mess on my driveway. The french door had not been hung yet. Then, it got worse. The painters came back to fix the paint, and I find out that they had actually quit working for the subcontractors a week ago and we're not paid. They wanted me to pay them directly and take that portion out of the invoice. Nope. At this point I am working with the project manager. The garage trim was finally fixed correctly by another person. The french door was hung by the project manager and let's just say he had no idea what he was doing... it looks like crap. At the end, he asks me if I am going to give him a good review! Um, no. So, bottom line...sloppy and rushed work, no follow through, agreed to work they really didn't know how to do, and a lot of slick talk and reassurances as if I were stupid. I would not recommend them. read more

We recently hired CertPro Painters of Loudoun to paint the majority of the interior of our newly purchased home because of the outstanding reviews we had seen. Unfortunately our experience has been anything but outstanding. I had high hopes after the first day when the crew arrived promptly when they said they would. However, one scheduled day the team lead said they would begin between 7:00 am and 7:30 am. I waited two hours for them to show up. I called the office/project manager after waiting the first hour and had to leave a voicemail. I never received a return phone call to explain the late arrival or an acknowledgment that it was even an issue from anyone. My time and schedule were not respected as the owner advertises in their video. Originally, we were given an estimated five to seven day time frame to complete the project. After day four the team lead said they had completed everything. Upon doing a walk through, a multitude of problems were identified including missed spots on walls, sloppy paint lines on the ceiling and trim, multiple spots of paint on the newly installed carpet and ceiling fans, paint on toilets, burnt and melted plastic on lights, paint on blinds, paint on clothes and shoes that weren't properly covered among other issues. Needless to say the team would need to come back to fix the issues. Unfortunately, we were told we would have to wait an additional five days for someone to be available as they had another project to start the next day. This didn't make sense as they originally estimated five to seven days to complete it and someone should have been available the next day. After raising the issue that our project was rushed and wasn't complete before they were moving on to another project we were told someone would arrive to do touch ups the day after the next. It took one individual over eight hours to touch up the issues and attempt to clean the paint from our carpet. The CertaPro professional was unable to remove the paint from our carpet and we escalated the issue again to the project manager and owner. The paint still on our carpets and we are waiting for someone from CertaPro of Loudoun to arrive today to attempt to clean it again. I have received no acknowledgement that there have been issues from the project manager nor the owner. Unfortunately, I would not recommend CertaPro Painters of Loudoun to anyone as their customer service and "professional" painting services are anything but! read more

My husband and I just bought our first home which needed a paint touch up. We decided to just repaint from top to bottom, including refreshing the ceiling. After speaking with Greg and Joe (sales consultant) we felt confident with CertaPro Painters. Just wow! Renzo (paint crew) did an incredible job painting the entire interior in five days! We can't stress enough how wonderful the end result was and in such a short turn around time! Mind you we had picked 4 different colors and much of the area required multiple coats because the original base color was dark. Renzo made sure we were able to get the right color matches for us since we made some last minute decisions. We had a couple of concerns prior to the final day, but Renzo gave us a wonderful end product and really paid attention to the details. Everyone was easy to reach and quick to respond. We highly recommend CertaPro Painters!! read more

Professionalism from the start. Greg pointed out things that shouldn't be done that others wanted to replace all, like the trim around the basement door. The bid was great and they gave us 10% off. They replaced all the rotted wood around our garage, partial of the basement flashing and replaced these areas with PVC to match our trim. They even replace some molding around our sliders, after they spotted it while on the job. Maria (the supervisor), her husband and their team were OUTSTANDING!!! We were told it would take 3 days to power wash, replace the molding/trim, and paint our shutters. It was all done in less than 2 days. I had selected the shutter paint color, they matched it to a T. They primed and put 2 coats on the shutters. Their outstanding job made our home look better now, than when we moved in 11 years ago. We will definitely use CertaPro in the future. read more

CertaPro just finished painting and re-screening our large screened in porch. Their work was excellent; the crew was wonderful, and they made sure to get our approval and clean up thoroughly before they left. They were the most professional contractors I have ever dealt with. They came out right away, gave a very detailed written bid -- and followup packet -- showed up when they said they would, and did a few small things that we asked them to do even though it wasn't specified on the contract. We got three bids, and they were the lowest; the highest was three times higher than theirs! I highly recommend CertaPro Painters. read more

CertaPro did a great job on the painting project in my home. In just a week, they were able to finish the repairs and the painting of my kitchen, family room, foyer, stairs in addition to the 2nd floor hallway, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. They worked with me to schedule the 2nd phase of the painting on the last two bedrooms and an additional bathroom. All work was completed exactly as requested with minimal touchups required. Their price was the lowest of the three estimates I received. I would definitely use CertaPro again and recommend them to family and friends as well. read more

Owner Gary Cobb came to our house and gave us an estimate. Price was fair but he seemed unprofessional. He had a "i have better jobs to go to attitude." the job now is complete but with another contractor. If a owner is like that, I don't want to know what the employees are like. Stick with family owned business... Very Appreciative of your business! John. read more

While we were happy with the exterior paint job of our home, the workers are less than desirable to deal with. We paid for services that included the front door and the worker asked if we wanted it painted. The railings were included and again he asked if we wanted them painted. A vent cover was broken, pictures were taken but no replacement was ever had. We had to follow up several times on the matter. Then we were told to just buy a new one and send them the receipt for reimbursement. Again, the paint results were good but do expect to do some oversight of the crews. read more

I had scheduled CertaPro to come out to sand and stain my deck. They were quick to have someone give me an estimate and the office staff was very nice. However, I scheduled it to be done in the beginning of May, and it took until July. During that time span, they confused my house with another and power washed the deck 3 times and never sanded or stained, which made the wood rough and splinter. When they finally "fixed" the issue they never repaired any of the wood they ruined or smoothed any of the spots that were made rough from the power washing. After continually calling and emailing the company, they sent another contractor out to fix the issues in July. The contractor told me he would fix the issues and leave me with the extra stain in case I ever needed to make any touch ups. In the end, only about half of the rough spots were repaired and after 10 messages I have still not received any of the extra stain for touch ups. They may come in with a lower price than some companies, but their work reflects their cheaper price. read more

CertaPro Painters of Loudoun (Sterling) is a quality painting company. I have had experience with a lot of home services companies and the ownership and management at CertaPro is the best. They are dedicated to a quality customer experience and work hard to make sure the job is done right the first time. I recommend them highly to any individual or business in need of a fresh look for interior or exterior paining. read more

They did an excellent job! The process was seamless from beginning to end.

CertaPro Loudoun did a great job for us, painted 90% of the inside of our home and sealed my deck. I enjoyed working with Gary Cobb, the General Manager, on the estimates and price quotes. Very professional, and knows his business very well. We split the painting into 3 separate jobs over a couple months to make living around the work easier. CertaPro gave us the best prices compared to other painters, and for the most part, did a great job. We found some "not as careful work as we'd like" in one room, and Gary came out, looked at it, and had his guys fix it right up, looks great now. Our last team, Walfred, Pablo, Manu and Luis finished up doing great work on our living/dinning room and hallways. I would use CertaPro again. read more
