We requested CertaPro to paint the exterior of our house. So far, we are not impressed. They started on 4/26 and are suppose to be finished on 5/8. Since they only started actually painting our house on 5/2, there is NO way that they will finish on 5/8. AND, what they did paint..which was only a SMALL section of our house, has to be re-done. According to the supervisor in Flagstaff, they should be working until 4-4:30, but they have been leaving around 2:00. They taped up our front windows on Thursday saying that they would paint that section on Friday..... since they BOTH called off, our windows were taped off for FOUR nights! The supervisor that was here on Friday said they shouldn't be taped off even over night! For the size of our house, there should be more than TWO guys painting! company knew I was from out of town, postponed me a week. on start date I got 2/12 hours of prep which wasn't nearly enough. second day 1 painter who spent most of the day continuing prep on 1 bedroom and bathroom, some painting. I was told I would have a crew of painters. Called company and was told they would send more help the next day (supposed final day), so far still only one painter. Horrible experience. I recently hired Certapro to paint the entire interior of a home I am renovating. I have never lived in the home but am just facilitating its renovation and repair. During the consultation process I was assured that all holes would be patched and all small security system boxes would be removed prior to painting. The home is not occupied and completely empty of household items. I anticipated that the project would not take longer than a week and visited the home after a full work week had passed. They were not completed which was not a huge concern but I sent an email asking for an end date as the flooring would need to be laid soon. I also inquired if they could possibly remove the security boxes as they were not removed. I received a somewhat curt response that they had completed the job that day and that they would not be removing the boxes because they contained wires and it would be a risk. After the flooring contactor began his work he let me know that upon his arrival the windows were left completely open and the heat was left on the highest setting. The propane tank for the home was completely drained. Luckily the pipes had not frozen and no one had decided to break into the home. I emailed Certapro to let them know and did not receive a response. Today I was able to visit the home in person and have reached a new level of disappointment. Only about half of the socket covers had been put back on. There is paint on light fixtures that were not cleaned. There are several small holes that were not fixed. Oh and best of all after looking at the security boxes for a total of five seconds I was able to determine there are absolutely no wiring to them and they are battery powered. No risk at all! Just two tiny little screws and a plastic bracket. So essentially someone was just feeling lazy and didn't want to take 5 minutes to remove them. For the price I paid and the quality of work performed and the customer service received, I should have just taken a couple weekends and done it myself. read more

About a year ago we had CertaPro paInt the entire exterior of our two-story house. The exterior needed, and got, a LOT of pre-paint treatment (including a specialized paint for highly weathered surfaces). All of this was spelled out in the contract; as you use CertaPro be sure everything you want is included. That way you will get what you paid for. Because CertaPro is a national franchise, there are specialist employees who estimate, another who schedules, another who bills, another for customer service and then the painters. Keeping everyone talking to each other can be a challenge, but the end result is a superb paint job. We will use them avain. read more

We had certified roll come out and give us a bit for a house and a barn. After they gave us the bed we told him to go ahead and start. They painted our 3200 square-foot barn stalls our home decks pergola everything that needed to be painted. It was a big job. The guys were really nice and courteous and they did an awesome job. We had Jon Bennett from Prescott Valley come out to look at our paint jobs. He took pictures of the jobs needed and said he would e-mail me an estimate later in the day. The day came and went, no e-mail. I texted him, no response. I called him, no response and I e-mailed him, again no response. If for some reason he didn't want to do the job he should of been professional enough to let us know, not leaving us hanging. I found Jon not to be ethical, nor a man of his word. If you can't trust a person to do small things, how can you trust a person to do a job for you. To me this says a lot about his company. read more

Update to the horrific work done. Now we have massive issues with the work done. Even though they stated we did not have to pay for their terrible work I have a long summer of repairs ahead to rectify this. Puts me super behind in my house repairs. We now have a 1ft by 10" bubble in the paint they did. Fantastic! Now I am going to have to remove it, sand it and try my best to paint several careful coats in order for it not show. read more

I had several companies bid the job of repainting the exterior of my home. After a few weeks of bids, I decided to go with Certapro as they could get it scheduled within three weeks vs. other companies who were 1-2 months out for scheduling. Oscar showed up with a 11 year old girl as his "helper" which seemed unprofessional to me, however I proceeded to pull everything away from my house this morning for Oscar who explained he was power washing. After about 30 minutes of Oscar getting set up his Manager Jon Bennet showed up. As we are walking the job; Jon explains that he bid the window pop outs to be the body color and not the trim. I explained that isn't what we discussed originally from my recollection. He became very defensive and stated that's an upcharge!! I explained I was not aware that the color of the pop outs would create additional costs. That said i asked Jon to walk the project with me so we could identify any additional upcharges now so there were no more surprises. As we were walking I pointed out things not noted on the Original bid, (Ie: Fireplace Flue, Electrical Boxes, downspouts for wiring) He said these were all included. He was adamant that the additional cost would apply of $200 for the window pop outs to be masked and painted the trim color. I reluctantly agreed and signed the handwritten note regarding the upcharge. He assured me not to worry, that we would walk the job at the end and anything that wasn't to satisfactory would be corrected. I replied great, because "I definitely want to get my moneys worth". I went back inside so they could do the power washing and within 5 minutes Jon was knocking on the door....He said I'm sorry but we are going to pass on the job, as Oscar and his pre-teen friend loaded up supplies. He said he didn't believe from our interaction this morning he would be able to satisfy me? I asked what specifically did I say that rubbed you the wrong way? He said "that you were going to make sure you got your moneys worth". I said well I will not apologize for wanting to get my moneys worth.. thank you and have a nice day and shut the door. Did they move anything back that they pulled away from the house? No...they left my back gate wide open (dog )and left the jobsite. AVOID THESE GUYS LIKE THE PLAGUE.. Unless you are not concerned with being nickel and dimed, or if you have low expectations of their work and plan to ask zero questions. Stay away! Jon is a liar and not a man of honor. We chose a semi gloss for the entire house interior. Jon sent a proposal with sherwin williams promar 400 eggshell sheen. Silly me, knowing nothing about paint, assumed this was the paint we talked about. Jon says nope, he had no recollection of us wanting semi gloss. Really? OK so why did you choose a paint I later found out was cheap contractor junk? You signed the proposal! This is industry standard paint! You signed the proposal! Extremely defensive. I asked if he didn't recall us wanting semi gloss, why this garbage? Nothing. Bait and switch dirtbag tactic. Also, clearly did not give housectwo coats. Far too many areas not covered well, or at all, to be two coats. Unless it can be explained how BOTH coats somehow managed to miss the exact same areas twice! Total BS. Also painted almost a complete side of my refrigerator! That comes off, says Jon. Unbelievable. Also his amazing crew decided to go into my garage and stomp around on a brand new exercise mat I recently purchased, getting paint on it. Only a twenty dollar mat, but WHY?? Found a leaking, painted toilet tank. Jon says impossible that his incredible crew did that, and that I must be trying to "pull something ".Um, ok. A painted ceiling fan light fixtures. A pantry not painted. A leaking shower head. Badly scratched kitchen counter. Impossible for his talented crew to do that! What are you trying to pull, says Jon. Supposed to send an invoice with laundry room cost removed but he...forgot! Just go anywhere else. Over three thousand dollars for garbage work, garbage paint (again, why??), damage to personal property and household, and a defensive baby accusing me of trying to rip HIM off. Very deceitful person. Final question: if you come to a house you'll be painting, and the owner does not mention what kind of paint he wants, why wouldn't you simply ask, rather than use garbage quality, ceiling paint? He also ranted that "no one uses semi gloss throughout a house!" Yes, he actually used that as part of his lie about us not telling him we wanted semi gloss throughout. So he wins, we get a ridiculous paint job, and we're out over three grand for a job we'll have to do over. You signed the proposal!!!​ read more

We moved into a new home in June and the interior needed a fresh painting to brighten it up and to make it our home. We met with Arturo to define the scope of the job and to get an estimate. As the work date approached, we had to make some clarifications and adjustments to the scope of the work and Arturo was easy to work with. George and his team arrived on the scheduled date. They were very professional, friendly, and accommodating to our needs. They worked diligently for a week and did an excellent job! It's been over three months since the job was completed and we have found no flaws that needed to be fixed. Our only area for improvement is that the painting crew was over extended between a couple of jobs and this caused a small delay in the completion of our project. Qualified workers with a great attitude. They use only the best paint and their crew knows how to execute and follow through. My house was a mess when I met Tony, their salesman. He gave a thorough estimate, and when something unexpected came up they ate the extra cost. I was surprised to receive an occasional follow up phone call after the job was done just to be sure I was still happy with it and that nothing was peeling or amiss. They offered to come back out as many times as needed in case they "missed a spot" or found an area to peel.
