Compared to all of the other wonderful meals we enjoyed in Buenos Aires, Cerezo Sushi unfortunately came up short.
The service team was kind & patient with our limited Spanish, but glacially slow. Our food order wasn't taken until about 45 minutes after we had sat. The food took even longer. We ordered 4 out of 5 of their specialty maki rolls to split between the two of us, thinking that it was a simple order. Apparently it was not simple. We waited for what seemed like a lifetime.
The music, which we first thought was cheerful, became grating. We entertained ourselves by people watching through the window.
When our food finally arrived, we oohed & ahhed at the presentation. It was served on a tiered wooden platter, complete with pyrotechnics. We were excited to dig in. We quickly realized that almost every roll was stuffed to the brim with cream cheese. We chose Cerezo Sushi for a light meal to contrast all of the heavy dining we had done in Buenos Aires so far, but alas, light it was not.
Accounting for what might've been lost in translation, Cerezo Sushi was not my favorite meal. I really enjoyed the wine, the wonderful interior design, & the presentation of the food, but the wait time & the actual cuisine just didn't do it for me. I would choose somewhere else next time. read more
