Another day lost trying to get a working phone line. I have lost 3 days of my life now. I don't have time for this. They won't fix it. They send me bills. I have to wait forever on hold only to get transfer 10 times and get my call dropped. Chat help just disconnects when you ask them to send a technician. They tell me I need to be home to have them do a line test. I have not internet and no phone at home so how am I supposed to communicate with them?! So basically, they have a monopoly in the cortez area. You get 3mg per second, if that and they don't really care how bad your internet is. It's 50$ a month no matter what mb you get. Which is dumb. I had them for years out in the middle of nowhere and got 9mb. In town I get 3. If you can spend an extra 20$ check out TDS. Might not cover your area but we got 300 mb for an extra 20$ with fiber. This company is the actual worst and if they didn't have a monopoly in my area, I would switch providers. While the guy who came out to help me set up my internet was great, the rest of the company is awful. Try getting a hold of them because their services stopped workin, I dare you. First you will have to go through an automated process that will take at least six minutes and is entirely unhelpful. Next you will be put on hold to wait for a representative, which will either take up awards of forty five min. But honestly, you will most likely be automatically disconnected. So try to call again, go through the whole process, be dropped again. Rinse and repeat, waste several hours, eventually get a hold of someone or turn to the internet chat option. In the internet chat option they will tell you that they will get a technician out to help you SEVERAL DAYS AFTER YOUR INTERNET STOPPED WORKING. Then they will tell you that the time of the appointment will be 8:30 am initially. After that, they will tell you that the technician will actually arrive between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, along with a not saying that they will charge you $93 if you aren't there to receive them. So you WILL be threatened with extra charges, and you WILL be asked to stay home all day (not something all of us are able to do, because we still have to work despite COVID). All in all, with the exception of a really nice technician, I have had nothing but bad experience with this company. Quite it with the monopolies, stop allowing internet services to be so awful, and provide us with an actual way to get into contact with you all. That's one of the best parts, honestly- the fact that there is NO WAY to get a hold of this company that allows for some type of paper trail. You can't email them. There is no customer service email provided. If you ask to talk to customer service, they'll just give you their main phone number. This business is terrible. AVOID LIKE THE CORONAVIRUS! I disconnected in early July 2019 and in November I noticed that they never stopped autodialing my credit card. I did pay disputes, my account was credited and then they continued to bill me. I noticed that again, initiated another pay dispute and spoke with CenturyLink on the phone for an hour and a half to resolve the issue. They were going to mail me a check for $150ish and instead, I received a bill. Upon calling them, I was advised that "the call may be monitored or recorded for quality service." I assured them that I hope that it was as I did the same. Apparently they can advise customers of being recorded but when advised themselves, they disconnect. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A REPUTABLE COMPANY? I should think not.
