You can also by tickets in person at the kiosks or at the box office. If it's your first time here, park near Planet Fitness and walked to the glass doors, and you will enter the shopping mall. Go down the escalator, and the movie theatres are at a corner of the mall food court. This movie theatre only has 5 theatre rooms. It was "empty" when I went on a Friday around 6:30pm. I was about to get a small popcorn but the cashier had a free medium popcorn available (I guess someone didn't want it?) so that was my lucky day - as the cashier register said. She was kind! It was easy to locate the seats. They are recliner & heater seats which is awesome! I also like the wall between each of the rows because you can't really see anyone infront of you or behind you - makes it feel more private. Once we left the theatre, it was crowded and it didn't even feel like it when we were inside the theatre room. Restrooms were fine as well. I would come back here again for another movie.

Chabot Theater - Upstairs seating with a more eye level view of the screen - 12/2025

This theater is my favorite theater and #1 go-to in the Bay Area! You can't find many theaters…read morelike The Chabot Theater anymore, and I'll tell you why! The Chabot Theater has been around for 75 years. With only 1 movie screen, it has been visited by long-time residents and newcomers who share a passion for film and reasonable pricing. They may not have reserved seating or the best state of the art surround sound systems, but that's what makes it unique and what a 1990-2000s movie theater used to be like. Also, they feature local commercials, bands/music, and upcoming events before the movie starts, which is great to see the support for the community! One of the best things about this theater is that you can purchase tickets for 1/2 the price every Tuesday! As of August 2025, 1/2 priced tickets will be $6/each (Regular: $12), which is a steal these days and especially when you can watch some of the biggest blockbuster films! Keep in mind, if you are a child or senior, regular pricing is $10 (still a bargain!), but Tuesday pricing will remain $6/each. You can purchase both tickets and concessions together in the lobby, which makes the process simple and smooth. Parking is relatively easy - no dedicated parking lot, just the street so adhere to the posted signage. Most street parking is 2 hour limit, but if you're okay taking a short walk, find some side or cross streets to extend the limit especially if you're catching a film that's longer than 2 hours. If you're looking for a place to host an event, watch party, or birthday, they do that here (pricing on website). If you're looking for something fun to do during the week nights, they host trivia nights (free for everyone), family movie nights (tickets required), and karaoke nights (free for everyone) too! This theater is truly a gem, one that I hope remains a staple within the CV community, providing a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.

There is always someone who is nice and happy you're there working and it makes you really feel like you're back to where you grew up. I always buy food/drink to help support. The ticket prices are the cheapest around (especially on half off tuesdays) and they even give free popcorn after the last showing lets out if they have any left! The seats in the lower half are probably the original seats (which makes it more nostalgic for me) and probably aren't the most comfortable but the upper half has been renovated with tables and chairs so if you want to eat actual food you can do so comfortably! They also host an array of events so there is always something going on!

The speakers are surround sound, and the display is just as advertised. For my case specifically, i want to watch a live concert on 4k and quality sound. It absolutely delivered. I watched the concert through screen casting because the display is a samsung brand, so it matches with my device pretty well. The trailer have a bathroom, sink, and basic amenities. They got both a fridge and freezer for icecream cakes aswell. There are snacks provided. Place is clean and well kept, I can walk barefoot around so that's good enough. Beyond that, the owner is very nice and friendly. Communications are clear aswell. Nice fellow overall. I really hope this bussiness thrives so I can countinue to book this trailer for future events

I've experienced Chill Theaters twice now!…read more First time was in August where I hosted my Mom's 62 Groovy for You Birthday on wheels! We had a nice intimate session, parked in a residential area, little quiet neighborhood in Sunnyvale, CA. The theaters was clean, fully equipped with snacks and drinks (free of charge) too! We ended up getting this experience free and that just made the cherry on top experience for us! The second time around, my friend rented out the mobile for the both of us! We hosted a Halloween event and nobody could even tell we were in the middle of a parking lot in a Campbell, CA park! lol All of my friends enjoyed and loved the concept. Again the experience was enjoyable and the theater was clean. The restroom though had a little odor though, so we had to keep the door closed for sure! My friend and I split the costs, which was $30 for egg rolls that we never even got. But that's okay, the driver said we would get a refund, not sure if she ever did! Andree the driver is amazing! He's super flexible, informative, and helpful! Hope he is always the driver when I book in the future! My mom actually recently booked the Mobile for my daughter's upcoming birthday in January! So I'm so excited about that!

First let me start with that Im a Hayward native and I remember this festival since I was a little…read moregirl. They have all the regular stuff, drinks, funnel cakes, garlic fries, rides and live music. It always brings back memories from years ago. The bad thing is that just to go it in for a family of 5 was $50 dollars and then the rides, food and wine/beer another $200. Guess what cash only to get in. Inside there are ATMs ($5.00 fee) and you can only get $100 dollars at a time. Luckily we had some cash. I really think if you spend this much money you should get in for free. It can be hard on some families to go and hang out with such high costs. But that aside the live bands on either side of the park, various tables to eat at and lots of zucchini bread (muffins on point $3.00 each) and fried zucchini delicious. I bought my commemorative 2017 wine glass with a serving of white zin for $10. Also available for beer with glass beer mugs. Philly cheese sandwiches, fish tacos, calamari, street tacos. Also jewelry, clothing, nick nacks of all kinds. Parking can be tough. Street parking and the parks parking lot or lots of people parking at Target. I got lucky and found street parking. But I will probably pass next year. Too expensive, not enough interesting things to do or see. Zucchini festival need to step up their game ASAP!!! I still love my Hayward though always have and always will.

Just Okay My wife…read moreand I went to the festival yesterday for the first time. The overall rating of 3 stars is appropriate. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hayward-zucchini-festival-hayward?select=dYSPf__c4ER98iLJE75kdg#41SxUmKUYCEKwtwWZfhESw: I was kind of a rebel. I walked in without paying because I was lazy and had a bad attitude (I didn't feel like walking to one of the official entrances, and I ignored this girl who tried to stop me- "Okay..."). My wife couldn't follow me in (she got blocked off by some guy), and so she paid $8 to enter (her purse was searched- the only thing lethal I had on me was my bad sense of humor). The tickets double as coupons for The Mexican, a restaurant that's just across the street ("20% Off your next on premise visit only"). Anyway, I'm glad that I didn't pay (the Fremont Festival of the Arts is much larger, and admission is free). http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hayward-zucchini-festival-hayward?select=dYSPf__c4ER98iLJE75kdg#socer8wJKXaipbNyzfww_A: The cashier was quite friendly. The guy grilling the food was a bit curt, but I only had to wait a minute for my hot dog. It would have been nice if there was a wider selection of drinks. In terms of the napkins, there were probably some around, but it wasn't obvious. There are about 5 good art booths. In general, though, we weren't interested in buying anything but food (there are a decent number of promotional booths, and we didn't check any of them out). http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hayward-zucchini-festival-hayward?select=dYSPf__c4ER98iLJE75kdg#IKhgQFTa30gT0BWoYo-PNw: The Kaye Bohler Band rocked the Main Stage (the Bohannon Stage is on the other side of the park- it's part of the kids area). Kaye has a powerful and bluesy voice. At the end of the show, she announced that customers who bought 2 CD's for $30 would be placed on the mailing list. The Rock Bottom Boys perform this afternoon. They're a fun and wonderful group (we saw them perform at the Alameda County Fair). As another reviewer mentions, zucchini isn't as prevalent as you would think. You can buy zucchini bread (for $4) and fried zucchini (for $6). That's about it. On the plus side, the zucchini bread is supposed to be great. We didn't look at them, but souvenirs are sold here. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hayward-zucchini-festival-hayward?select=dYSPf__c4ER98iLJE75kdg#bWle6qSKjx8-pRR-2KTknw: http://docsqnpit.com/: I was going to order from the other BBQ booth, but I noticed that their menu was more limited. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/hayward-zucchini-festival-hayward?select=dYSPf__c4ER98iLJE75kdg#RKDtH2H7C3KudwEHpGpmxA: I'm anal when it comes to writing. On the menu, Link Sandwich should be Hot Link Sandwich, and Pull Pork should be Pulled Pork. Anyway, I would have asked for the sauce on the side if I knew that my hot link was going to be drenched with it. The main issue, though, is that it just wasn't that flavorful. It would have been fine if I got no sauce at all. The cashier struck me as being a bit crazy (he kept shouting and repeating himself). He and the others worked well together, though, and I only had to wait a minute for my hot link sandwich. Rib Meal: $11. Slab: $24. If possible (even a big eater like me can only eat so much), I would have bought a Rib Meal and also a Philly Cheesesteak (at least 3 booths sell them). At one point, we had to search for someplace to sit, but there's plenty of seating (I didn't know if these women in front of us were mother and daughter or lesbian lovers). At some spots, the ground is a bit uneven, so be careful while you're walking. We were here for over an hour. It was a good experience overall. It's worth going to the festival for the food and music. Kids should also have fun. I can't say, though, that it's worth $8 to enter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Binebu5mwkA
