The car wash was sold to Car Wash USA Express in September of 2026. There was no communication to any of us about the transition via email, or notices at their car wash. My membership included a military discount for a recurring monthly membership. I drive through their car wash on September 10, 2026 and the display reads that I do not have a monthly membership anymore. The polite employee checked my information and told me that Car Wash USA Express had cancelled every membership that included a military discount without telling them or notifying me via email. Anyone who knows this location understands that once you are in line, there is not a easy way to leave without having to pay for a car wash or set up a new recurring monthly membership. To keep their line of cars moving, I paid for a car wash. Whether this was a problem of no communication from Take 5 Car Wash or Car Wash USA Express, I cannot say. It was annoying and inconvenient to have to deal with this lack of communication. It also slowed down their line of cars and annoyed their other customers. I will not be returning to this business and recommend that no one else uses them either.

The attendants touch the screen and swipe your card for you so you don't have to reach out of your car. Super helpful for short people like me. They also provide free towels. I haven't used their vacuums yet, but I'm sure they're fine. I'll update my review if they don't work well for me.

There have been numerous times that the car wash's has been temporarily closed throughout the day, on top of the continuous issue with their vacuum system. I decided to call customer service to inquire and complain about the issues we have. The manager Maddie decided to call me back with the utmost disrespect, to tell me how WRONG I was when I filed my complaint. After I attempted to explain myself, she continues to tell me how wrong I was and the conversation ended with me telling her to cancel my membership and she HUNG UP. I hope the rest of Oakland speaks up.

The suction on the vacuum is free but I wouldn't pay a dime for that sucking action because it sucks it's very low very low... I ended up just having to cancel my credit card. I was trapped for three months of them charging me while trying to resolve issues with people who have no clue what they're doing, and employees at some locations were clearly stoned.
