It definitely adds to the whole experience. What I like about this place is that it's more than just bowling. They also have laser tag and an arcade area with classic games and claw machines. The arcade isn't very big, but it still has enough to keep kids entertained. Pricing is on higher $49.99/hour per lane on weekdays and $69.99/hour on weekends, with VIP lanes available for an extra $10. Shoe rental is extra. They sell food and drinks on site, so there's a bag check at the entrance. It can get busy on weekends, so I'd recommend booking ahead. Overall, it's a solid indoor family spot -- especially during colder months -- and we'd definitely come back again!

Well, as well as the new supersized prices!!! I used to love this place!! Ordered a couple meals. Sat down. Bunch of Chinese ordered after us. They sat down. 20 minutes later they got their food first. Eating happily they seemed satisfied but we, like idiots were still waiting. Now KEEP IN MIND they BROUGHT OUT THE FOOD TO THEIR TABLE AND SERVED THEM.......About 10 minutes later she drops the food on the counter and says, "you're food is ready.".........WHY DID SHE NOT BRING THE FOOD TO THE TABLE???? WHY?? BECAUSE WE ARE NOT CHINESE!!!! RACIAL DISCRIMINATION AT IT'S FINEST!!!!! My husband asked why??? Why would you serve them first and not us?? Why are you making us pick up our food at the counter??? She says, "self serve"..... Please shut this dump down. Sorry, not all patrons will be chinese. And no, you will not get a tip BEFORE eating. That's not the way it works here in Toronto. Good service=good tips. We will never be back. Please do not support this racist business!!!!! Crazy right???Unfortunately for all of you who work there, you will be stuck in that hole forever, until the day you die. ENJOY!!

You also need to rent bowling shoes and return them on your way out. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The vibe is very lively and fun.

Pure bowling review here…read more This place is one of the last remaining actual bowling spots for me. Every other spot in the GTA has been swallowed up by the likes of Splitsville or Ballroom Bowling and turned into an arcade. Makes sense as its where the money is but as someone still enjoying a bit more of a serious bowling spot, I really value a place like Planet Bowl where they open early, don't bother with the disco stuff and maintain good oil and lane conditions. Their early bird special from open to noon is just $23.95 an hour, a farcry from the over $50 an hour the other places charge. Great to see a place sticking to their roots here.

Also the TV screen that displayed our scores had horizontal lines scrolling down it, and the place where we entered our names and such was hard to see without a flash light (mind you we were there on cosmic bowl night, which was more like disco night). The schedule on their site didn't quite match the days they had cosmic bowling when I called to make the reservation. They were repairing half of the lanes (the ones on one side), so they weren't usable, however they had several lanes available. I had made a reservation in advance though, so we were all set in that respect anyhow. Mostly-so, I found the service to be pretty good. Didn't notice any (intentional) rudeness, so all-in-all in that respect, I was pretty happy. Assuming the pricing on their website is correct, the regular prices are pretty decent for most days/nights. We got popcorn with the voucher I had, which ended up being very good. It did make us thirsty though, so I guess that was part of how they made some extra cash off of us :-) The location for me as well as my friend I went with wasn't ideal, so mainly due to that reason, it's not likely I'd return. Otherwise that place was pretty decent all-in-all, despite it being a bit run down.

Wasn't too busy with only half the lanes occupied. Our group of 6 rented two lanes for 90 minutes ($60.00/hr). Shoe rentals are $5.00/person. Managed to play three games; part of the charm is you have to manually calculate your own score. Also ordered drinks and typical bar food ($7.00 french fries and $17.00 pepperoni pizza).

I purchased a Groupon for $15, which included 2 hours of pool for 2 people and $10 toward appetizers. Monte Carlo is located just east of Dundas and Dixie, but is not visible from the main roads, which made it hard to find. It's located in a fairly old strip mall that I usually drive by without giving a second glance. The bar itself is an older looking establishment, but very well kept. There are many pool tables and a handful of snooker tables that take up the large space, which consists of one long main room, and two smaller rooms. The staff were accommodating when I informed them that I had a Groupon. They even gave us a reminder when we had 5 minutes left in our promotional 2 hour limit, which was very nice of them. The drinks here are decently priced, with a beer costing about $3.50. The appetizers are decently priced as well, but don't expect anything special. I ordered the jalepeno poppers and they were clearly just heated from a frozen state, with some being colder than others. While the food was just alright, the actual pool tables were quite good! The tables are well kept, and ours didn't have any rips or bumps that would've impacted our game. There was ample space between tables, so at no point did we ever feel cramped for space. The cues are also decent and plentiful. I'd definitely recommend this place to others for those who want a pure pool experience. For a night out, I'd still recommend Wacky Wings because the food and entertainment is incomparable.
