We have rented from the other big condo management corporation for over a decade. After last years headache with the "E" company, we went with Thomas. We're converted. Our condo had an issue with the cable, and Jocelyn and Roselyn did not stop until it was fixed AND refunded some of our rental payment for the trouble. They went above and beyond, and earned my loyalty. We stay in Cherry Grove every year, sometimes multiple times. We are also in the market to purchase a property and we will certainly buy through Thomas and allow them to manage our property for rentals. The property we rented for the week was just as advertised. No bait and switch, no hidden fees. My only problem is that I have to leave! My view for the last week has been the ocean... tough to say goodbye! The staff at Thomas is friendly, helpful, and hard working. They are local, and can you provide you with a good pizza delivery recommendation if your favorite pizza joint shuts down unexpectedly... (We miss you Luckys!!!!). read more

When we went to check in early our condo was not ready, so they asked that we come back at 3pm. No big deal, except for the fact that even though I had received 3 emails from their office the week prior to check in and spoken with someone on the phone - nobody mentioned the fact that the street in front of their office would be closed for a street festival. We had to come in a back way and park in the back of the lot, leaving the car running, to avoid getting a ticket. Once we were called back and told the room was ready the attendant just handed me the envelope and said enjoy your stay. I thought to myself - self - this is easy - but then I thought, how do we get there? So I asked. She nonchalantly said that directions were in the envelope. However, then another lady at a desk spoke up and said that I should not follow those directions and should instead take an alternate road about 12 streets before the one on the written directions. She never said why, but she said we would not be able to get through there. I think now it was because the street the resort is on is off the same street (cross highway) that the Alabama theater is in, so we might have hit traffic, but still not 100% sure. Once we made it to the resort we were not really sure where to park to unload our car or what building we were going to be in. We looked around for signs and did not see anything that made any sort of sense. A man in a uniform helped us read codes on our paperwork to locate the tower and suggested we move our car to the other side of the parking lot to make unloading easier. We made it up to our room and round the room clean and spacious. However, when I checked for the linen package we'd paid for I saw there were none. I called and listened to the elevator music until someone picked up and seemed shocked there were no linens and sort of huffed their way off the phone. She said someone would be over soon. We had no choice but to wait in the room until they arrived. It took about an hour. I asked this person about the check in room rating/liability sheet and she said someone would be back to pick it up tomorrow. I thought that was weird, but whatever. That night when we went to leave the complex we realized the entrance we had come in through was closed and said it was for emergency vehicles only. We literally had to google satellite view our way out of the complex since we'd been given no map of the area or given any information about the primary entrance. The next couple of days were fine, but by Monday morning we were wondering what we were supposed to do with the trash. It was piling up and we were running out of room to put things. We called the complex's front desk and they said maid service would pick it up. Again, I thought this was strange, because I did not think we had any maid service. When all of our trash was still there on Tuesday I decided to call back Century 21 Thomas and wait on their phone for them to tell me what to do. The associate who answered the phone was again - not so nice - and did not seem to mind that they were totally inconveniencing us by having to call them all of the time. They finally agreed they'd bring us a trash key after I refused to drive to their office (some 20 blocks north) to pick it up. Again, we had to wait in the room for the key to arrive. The key finally came around 3pm and the fellow took the paperwork and cleaned mold from the guest bath ceiling vent. However, when we went to attempt to use the key in the trash room door - it did not fit, and again we were stuck with the trash. I called back to Century 21 Thomas on Wednesday and was again greeted by a less than cheerful associate. She was unsympathetic with the trash key issue and then finally admitted that they could not find the key and that we should just leave the trash outside the door and that someone would come pick it up. Mind you that this is a very nice resort and the hallways look like a cruise ship, so I felt kind of bad piling up garbage outside of our room, but what other choice did we have? What I want to know is what key did they give us Tuesday - a key that they knew was not the right key? I feel bad for the owners of the condo because they are paying for a service that Century 21 is not providing. This place seems to not have their act together and to be very unsympathetic with their customers who are paying large amounts of money to stay on vacation. I will definitely return to the beach and stay at North Beach Plantation, but we will not rent from Century 21 Thomas. read more

Rented Sandy Shores #4 in N Myrtle Beach from Thomas Rentals last weekend. Where do I start? The carpet in the unit (living room and bedrooms) was beyond disgusting - frayed, ripped and terribly stained. Every kitchen chair was ripped, and the refrigerator was leveled with a book! Every dish we took out of the cabinet was dirty - like had not been washed at all dirty. The end of the counter was "finished" with a strip of duct tape. There weer only two spoons and two knives in the kitchen. Moving to the living room, let's just say I put sheets over the couch and chair we sat on while there. Of the three TVs, only one remote had working batteries. The bedrooms had not been cleaned, as we noted items left from previous renters under two of the beds (water bottle, candy wrapper, dog toy). Even the lamp shade had a big stain on it. The bathroom was old but clean, but the toilet seat had two large areas where the paint was completely worn off. The WiFi did not work and we were told the account had to be "reactivated." I began looking for another place that would accept a small dog as soon as we arrived, but I was unable to secure a new reservation. The company was oh-so apologetic for all of the grossness, indicating that the owner really needs to "step-up" and that it has nicer places to rent. Which begs the question, doesn't Thomas manage this property? It was clear everyone we spoke to at Thomas was aware of how disgusting this place is, yet Thomas continues to rent it. So that means that Thomas will rent anything without regard to its condition. Something else pretty interesting - I cannot figure out how to leave a review of this property on Thomas's website, which means other unsuspecting renters could assume Thomas will do the right thing and only rent clean properties in generally good condition. Dealing with C21 Thomas was OK. No real problem there. But my biggest grief is that I overpaid for the unit I stayed in. I rented Ashworth 705. We stayed at the Ashworth condo complex 10 years ago. The complex itself has held up over the years. But this particular unit was subpar. The beds and furniture need replacing. The Wifi is terrible (very slow). My biggest beef is overpaying severely for the property. Don't get fooled into thinking you need to book your trip early. I paid over $3200 for this unit. A couple of weeks before leaving for our trip, I checked the website just to see what the rates were. The same units (4 BR/3 BA) were $850 less!! I just checked again and see units available for almost HALF PRICE compared to what I paid. I feel really ripped off! I may or may not use Century 21 Thomas again, but I will never book in advance. There are plenty of places to rent and you CAN WAIT until a week or two beforehand and get a much better deal on a unit. read more

Excellent website, great customer service. I had a great experience booking a North Myrtle vacation rental with them and would gladly do so again. I liked the fact that after hour pick up of house keys was extremely convenient. The pricing was ridiculously inexpensive compared to comparable properties from other companies. Strongly recommend this property company for those who are looking to vacation in the area. read more

My family purchased a beach home in 2004 from an agent with Century 21 Thomas. After a series of lies and deception over the flood plain information disclosed at closing, we have had zero assistance in rectifying the fraudulent disclosures and were told to seek attorney advice. My advice to every potential client is simply this, run far and fast, sweeze your cheeks and don't look back. They will rip you off on purpose and offer you no assistance. 600K investment....the worst service ever. read more

Arrived at Laguna Keys PH4 and found a dirty condo (hair in the bathroom tubs and floor and the Kitchen sink). Shower Curtain in master bath was all moldy. The TV in the living room was so bad couldn't watch it. The condo needed painted as all the walls had scuffmarks and were dirty. Spoke to the rental company Century 21 Thomas Realty, and they fixed the TV and replaced the Shower Curtain. They also promised to do a full cleaning of the unit but never showed up so we cleaned it ourselves. We will not rent from Thomas Century 21 ever again! The beach was great! read more

I didn't have any issues with Thomas Beach Vacations but rather issues with the house I had rented for the week. The house was nice for the location but really outdated and wasn't as clean as I had hoped it would be. The mattress cover had pee stains and the pillows looked nasty so I went out and brought my own. During our stay a maintence person showed up (no calling ahead) and walked right into the house without even knocking. I was in one of the bedrooms while my daughter was taking a nap, right about to change my clothes so thank goodness I hadn't started yet. Apparently he was there to measure the T.Vs but couldn't that be done after the guest leave so they're not bothered with this I mean really? Then he comes back again with no notice and brings another T.V which is basically the same size and style of the previous one so what in the heck was the point of that. I asked him what he would have done if we weren't home and he stated he had a key. Well that makes me feel great knowing someone could just walk in anytime without notification to us who paid to rent the home for the week. I would think that means we get some sort of privacy but apparently not. This will be my first and last time renting from this company. read more
