They seem to have denied responsibility and have continued to ignore requests to repair these pipes and the related damage. Their contractors almost always flake or are late when they even bother to agree to show up. Then, when they arrive, they demur and pretend not to realize the plain issues they see. They're also quite rude. They left a Washington Gas account open at our new address for more than a year and repeatedly refused to call Washington Gas to cancel it. So, my wife had to do it for them instead. All the while, the people in the M Squared offices dismissively claimed they had nothing to do with it. In closing, condo builders like M Squared are a dime a dozen. And other ones might not do shoddy work and treat you poorly. So take a chance with one of them instead.

When I finally did place an offer, Jennifir spent all the time needed to go over every piece of paper and why it was important. I had no idea there were so much paperwork involved in the process, but Jennifir made it all very easy to understand and very clear. (I actually didn't have a single question of the lawyer at closing b/c Jennifir had explained everything to me so well.) Even after the offer was accepted, Jennifir checked on the property numerous times, on her own, to ensure the inspection and all the mandatory fixes were completed to satisfaction. I have a very demanding work schedule and could not make it to everything. I interviewed several agents and used this Weichert agent because she was listed in the Washingtonian as one of the top 100. The agent provided no guidance on pricing my home, basically left it up to me, once the home was on the market she had minimal contact with me and failed to return calls, when I texted or emailed she would say that she would call later and did not, she complained about her other clients when we did communicate (which makes me wonder what she was saying about me), she remove my listing after I received one low offer within 24 hours of reducing my price, eliminating the opportunity to receive additional offers. In full disclosure, the reduction was my action, not hers but she did not provide any professional advice on the price change. After stating multiple times that I would out of the country on the settlement date, two days before settlement she asked if I would be at the closing, after I had already signed the settlement documents earlier in the week. She never even communicated that the closing had actually taken place, even though I was not present. I actually had to reach out to her and ask! I have bought/sold six houses and this was by far the worst service I have ever received. Overall service was poor, full of drama with every communication (from another client being threatened with a gun to her daughter's Louis Vitton handbag being stolen). As the client I was never her priority. Worst $60,000+ I ever spent.

Both the sale and purchase were challenging. Katie helped us resolve the difficulties. The sale was complicated by the fact that there was an open lien on our property. A bank had failed to record a home equity line of credit held by a previous owner as closed. A previous title search had missed this and I foolishly did not have title insurance. The title company offered to solve the problem for $10,000. Katie did a lot of spade work and got the bank to record the lien as satisfied, saving me the money and saving the sale. The purchasers were also difficult and Katie gave us great advice about dealing with them and the sale closed on time. Our subsequent home purchase was also complicated bv the fact that the sellers wanted to do a sale by owner, which effectively made Katie the agent for both seller and buyer (although only compensated by me as my buyer's broker). She again provided infallible advice when issues arose and also gently steered the sellers through all of the many problems they thought they'd surfaced. I'd recommend Katie Wethman and the Wethman Group to anyone buying or selling a home.
