Just your average cinema experience. The popcorn is pretty good though and I always love getting a slushi.

Movie started twenty minutes late, they just kept showing ads. Whoever was operating the projector, fuck you.

They were out of cherry slushy and pretzels. And I'm not spending $4 on a day old hotdog.

Movie was good. Comfortable seats. Bathrooms were disgusting. No toilet paper. No paper towels. Trash all over the floors. Just gross

It is the best place in town for sure. Clean and spacious. It is always where I go to see a movie in Abilene.

Best theatre in town. Of course it is little old Abilene. I wish we had an AMC with reclining seats but this will do for now.

Cinemark Abilene and XD

The newest theater in town. I am going to grade this like I would a restaurant since they have food…read morebut we will lean towards service and atmosphere rather than the junk food. Atmosphere: Great new theater. Plenty of options for each show. Several different options for viewing whether you are a 3D fan or not. If u aren't into 3D then u can watch the movie in a regular old theater. If u like the best audio and video experience without 3D, u can watch it in XD. And if u like a little adventure but still not in 3D then u can sit in a DBox seat. Each of these options are available in 3D as well if that is your style. The 2 greatest features of this theater however are the reserved seating and the reclining seats. It is so nice not to have to show up for your show an hour or 2 early in order to get those prime seats right in the middle. Now u just pick your seats online and u r good to go. The reclining seats are just as amazing. Soooo much better than plain Jane. The theater temperatures have been spot on at every visit so far as well. I usually have to wear a hoodie to stay warm. Now just a long sleeve tee will do it. 2 Stars Food: not such a big candy selection but they make up for it in everything else. In a big way. Great popcorn. They have the awesome drink machines that u can choose hundreds of options from. Huge Icees. They also offer lots of snack foods like peanuts and chips. Same main meal type options are also available such as pizza, hot dogs, and nachos. All in all it's a pretty nice variety. Would love a bunch of extra candy options though. 1 Star Service: Always good so far. Everyone seems very nice and they are always extremely helpful. Getting tickets is easy and checking in to theater is also easy. 2 Stars.

I went to those theater this weekend afternoon to see of Master of the Universe, expecting a calm…read morelittle afternoon escape from the unrelenting rain. Instead, I walked into what felt like a mall on tax‑free weekend meaning it was lively, loud, and full of folks with the same idea. Thankfully, I'd already bought my tickets through Fandango, so I was able to breeze past the ticket line like a dream only to be snatched back into reality when it came to the concession line! Now, the concession line... that's where the plot twist happened. One single‑file line moving slower than traffic on a Monday morning. I took one look, decided my peace was worth more than popcorn, and headed straight to my seat. Like a bad Monday morning, I decided I'll just go in later for the popcorn. The auditorium itself was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated. But then I met the D‑BOX seats...the $20‑per‑person motion seats I'd splurged on for both me and my husband. Let's just say they looked a little "experienced". Worn enough to make me pause and have a quick internal conversation with the Lord praying that I didn't leave with anything that I didn't come with. Luckily though, I did go prepared in long sleeves and pants. But here's the surprise: while those seats looked like they had been around the block more than a few good ole times, they WORKED like they understood the assignment. Once the movie started, they shook, tilted, and rumbled. It felt like a mini amusement‑park ride, and honestly, it made the movie even better. Despite their "well‑loved" appearance, they delivered a fantastic experience to the point I considered having a cigarette afterward...except I don't smoke, so I left with a satisfied grin!

The Paramount Theatre is a wonderful experience for those of us who are historians. My wife and I…read morehave visited many times for entertainment, concerts, plays, and such. I can say that of all the events we have attended over the years, they have been excellent. However, that being said, last night's Fleetwood X concert was a total MISS. It was, at best, badly staged karaoke. We sat up front in row A, and I was taking pictures. The singer shot me a "I don't think so" look and waved her finger at me until I put my camera down and took no more pictures. The secondary singer sounded like Donald Duck on steroids. We were disappointed in the concert, as were others around us, complaining about extra notes being played in songs, and the microphones kept modulating up and down on both the singers. We are aware that sometimes things happen. I just wanted to voice what my wife and I were thinking, as well as what other folks around were thinking. Please keep bringing live music to the Paramount; it is the best place in Abilene to attend a concert by far.

We absolutely love this theatre. This was our second time to go. It is absolutely beautiful inside…read moreand no seat is bad, so keep that in mind when you think "oh that seat won't be good". We also love the fact that they have a mini bar set up to buy drinks. The ONLY downfall is that there was A LOT of construction, which isn't their fault. I recommend going early, but it is well worth it.
