Visiting from out of town, I went to see Deadpool at this theatre over the weekend. It was my experience that the young employees at this location do not like to work as they were seen on their cell phones standing around. The lobby floors are sticky and messy. The line was long and I had to wait a long time to pay for my concessions. The theater we were in was dirty and there were people talking and their cell phones throughout the movie. Where are the ushers monitoring the theatre? I know, probably on their cell phones too. The only person I saw actually working was an older lady. Seems like management at this theatre needs to be replaced. The theaters where I'm from make this sh*t hole what it is, a terrible movie experience. Is this how Cinnemark represents Abilene? Pathetic. Never going back to this theater as I have to clean my sticky shoes when I get back to the hotel. read more

We came to visit my family before the Thanksgiving holiday and found out that Abilene has a new theatre in town.....The Cinemark! It is so nice and since we are a military family we got a really good price on our movie tickets. They have really comfortable seating and they even recline. We will definitely be coming to the movies again when we return to visit. read more

For Abilene, the new theater is 5 stars, and will be when they work the kinks out. Pros The building and theaters are very nice. The recliners are very comfortable and the power feature is great. No sense in going anywhere else! The concession stand has a bigger menu of extremely overpriced food and there is a arcade to take your money before and after the show. The early movies are a great value. Cons We have been twice now and experienced the same thing both times. One person at the ticket stand. LONG line. After getting your food, one person taking money. There was easily 20 people in line when I asked an employee to get some help. We actually missed the start of our movie standing in line. Some of the other people probably did too. It's very easy to see when you need some more help. Anyway, having a new high tech theater in town is a wonderful thing and we can't wait to go again! read more

We have been a fan of this theater since it opened, but we won't be back. The theater was nasty when we got in there and I'm pretty sure it was the first movie of the day. There was popcorn everywhere, popcorn containers, drinks and napkins. When I spoke to the manager Candice she just said they got a new cleaning crew and they must not have gotten to that one." I'm sorry, but aren't they supposed to clean them all after every movie?!?! Then she just said she'd let her GM know, thanks and hung up. So rude!!!! read more

This movie theater it great! Just saw top gun 2 there and it has great seating, sound, and quality! They had a big food selection and it was tasty. Please go there! (Note: do not get the mozzarella sticks. The cheese is good but the crust is WAY too crunchy and it will probably only last 10 to 15 minutes of the movie.) read more

The newest theater in town. I am going to grade this like I would a restaurant since they have food but we will lean towards service and atmosphere rather than the junk food. Atmosphere: Great new theater. Plenty of options for each show. Several different options for viewing whether you are a 3D fan or not. If u aren't into 3D then u can watch the movie in a regular old theater. If u like the best audio and video experience without 3D, u can watch it in XD. And if u like a little adventure but still not in 3D then u can sit in a DBox seat. Each of these options are available in 3D as well if that is your style. The 2 greatest features of this theater however are the reserved seating and the reclining seats. It is so nice not to have to show up for your show an hour or 2 early in order to get those prime seats right in the middle. Now u just pick your seats online and u r good to go. The reclining seats are just as amazing. Soooo much better than plain Jane. The theater temperatures have been spot on at every visit so far as well. I usually have to wear a hoodie to stay warm. Now just a long sleeve tee will do it. 2 Stars Food: not such a big candy selection but they make up for it in everything else. In a big way. Great popcorn. They have the awesome drink machines that u can choose hundreds of options from. Huge Icees. They also offer lots of snack foods like peanuts and chips. Same main meal type options are also available such as pizza, hot dogs, and nachos. All in all it's a pretty nice variety. Would love a bunch of extra candy options though. 1 Star Service: Always good so far. Everyone seems very nice and they are always extremely helpful. The guy taking the tickets is rude and very unhelpful and could not give a crap! The tea was old and when I tried to get another drink I was told I couldn't and the little ticket guy was like oh well and dismissed me. It seems like every time we come lately they never have any hot dogs or pretzels. We don't mind waiting for them to be cooked or even microwaved to the right temp. Tonight they have 1 order of pretzels and said they already shut their grill down and it would take an hour to hear it back up. Why shut this down before your last movie shows? We wouldn't bought 5 orders of pretzels and 3 or 4 hotdogs but only got one pretzel. I know corona is hurting a lot of businesses but they are hurting themselves with this customer service. read more

Our new favorite movie house! Who doesn't like reclining comfortably and watching a good movie? I also like the fact we can reserve our favorite seats in advance! Oh yeah! Back row, middle seats now that we have the ease of getting in & out easier for bathroom breaks. Which is the only downfall. All the way up front which is far,FAR away from some of the theatres. BILLY enjoys the snack bar coke machines with different flavors to add in. (So much for drinking DIET soda when you add cherry, or vanilla to it!) LOL Last visit I tried the potato wedges. I really thought the price was high until I received my HUGE order! Enough for 2-3 people in one order! Tasty too! Usually have friendly, helpful staff working. The only thing keeping this great, clean, state-of-the-art new theater from being five stars is absolutely lousy management. Used the app to get our tickets beforehand. Didn't matter. Had to stand in line with everyone else to speak to the one person in the booth on Sunday afternoon. There was one person serving at the concessions and one at the register. The ice cream freezer is set up so that the server must remove each container to get a scoop, holding up everyone else waiting for food. Big mess. I would encourage folks to sneak in their own food and drink. This bunch would never catch on. read more

I believe that this theatre is AMAZING!! I have always had an amazing experience. I think that if you want to go to a movie and you want to recline and maybe charge your phone from your seat, this is the theatre for you. This is the BEST movie theater in Abilene. The price are reasonable for a movie theater as well as the concessions. The chicken and fries is quite good. They a Starbucks which, though not as good as regular store, is pretty good. The seats are incredible. Highly recommended. read more

So glad this theater came to the north side of town. I go to the movies all the time and the theaters are well kept. The movie pass is a must have as you get discounted concessions and no online fees. It's a no brainer. My wife and I always get popcorn and icees and we have yet to be disappointed. The XD is nice for a splurge but all the theaters are great. There's not a bad seat in the house. read more
