Ron sets you at ease with his sense of humor. He is one funny guy but more importantly, he knows what he's doing. Ron worked his magic and voila! I didn't owe much. I can now sleep at night :D Thanks Ron! See you next year, same time, same bat channel!

She misinterpreted every question I asked her. Her answers didn't address my question. Her communication skills are abysmal. In her office, She asked for information and I scrambled to provide it, then when I handed it to her, she said "oh we don't need that". She computed my taxes. Told me the amount I owed. Gave her my banking info for payment and left. Days later she called and says she couldn't efile my taxes and I needed to come get the return and mail it myself. I asked her to email it to me. No response she was on vacation. Days later she leaves me a voicemail Never mind she submitted my taxes after all. I EMAILED her asking for an emailed copy/receipt. Days later She called today to say she can't send emails to iCloud. But "my returns are sent and everything is ok." I have no proof. Just her phone call. I asked if on the resubmittal did the IRS get the banking info to take the money I owe? She said "I don't have access to that info". I clarified: I just want to confirm the IRS got my banking info again. I know you can't see my bank account ‍. I want to be sure the IRS gets paid. She says "oh yes. It will come out of your account". Dealing with her was exhausting! In my own business I meet and connect with multiple clients everyday. I have never, ever in 10 yrs and 1300 clients had such trouble communicating with someone.

I've never written a negative Yelp review before, but I feel compelled to share my experience…read more I was told my return would be completed by April 7 at the latest, but it wasn't finished until April 15. Throughout the process, communication was poor despite multiple follow-ups. I received a generic email on April 10 stating that returns might not be completed on time. It wasn't until after I raised my concerns that I was told I had submitted my documents too late to receive the expected turnaround and they had done me a favor by taking on my tax return. Had that been disclosed during my initial consultation, I would have hired another CPA. After I later received an IRS notice regarding my tax payment, I reached out for assistance and received no response, leaving me to resolve the issue on my own. While the firm ultimately reimbursed the penalties and interest, they refused to acknowledge the broader service issues or take responsibility for the overall client experience. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm.

Absolute nightmare. Do NOT go here. I had what can only be…read moredescribed as the worst experience of my life at Parra Accounting & Tax. From the moment I walked in, the staff was rude, unprofessional, and clearly didn't want to be bothered. The receptionist barely looked up from her phone and acted like answering basic questions was beneath her. They completely botched my taxes. I ended up owing thousands more than I should have because of careless mistakes and sloppy work. When I called to complain, they got defensive and tried to blame ME for their errors. The accountant was condescending, interrupted me constantly, and clearly had no idea what he was doing. I felt like I was paying for amateur hour. The office itself looks cheap and outdated, with a weird smell and uncomfortable waiting chairs. They took forever to get anything done, missed deadlines, and charged me extra fees for "rush work" that they caused. Save yourself the headache and money. This place is incompetent, overpriced, and treats customers like garbage. I will never return and I'm warning everyone I know to stay far away. Zero stars if I could. Avoid at all costs.

So they did my taxes and did them accurately. I'm not so sure that they saved me any money, but…read morethey didn't cost me any extra either. The problem came when the IRS did not post my final payment. I received a bill from the IRS saying that I owed them over $2000. I sent the letter and the proof of payment to them and asked them what happened? They told me that I had to call the IRS to find out why they didn't post my payment. I even reverified that they were not going to make that call for me. My taxes are complicated, and I have had a CPA prepare my taxes and electronically file them every year for the past 30 years. Things like this don't happen often, but when they do THE CPA IS THE ONE WHO CALLS THE IRS ON MY BEHALF!! If there were an error on the preparation of the document, then I would have been at a loss to explain it. I ended up waiting on the phone for 4 hours and was able to get it straightened out myself. However, I am now looking for another accounting firm because this is not the level of service I require. At the same time, as I said, they prepared my taxes accurately, so I don't think it's fair to give them just one star. I'm not sure I would recommend them though, just based upon the fact that they aren't going to help you if anything goes wrong.
