She only found out her mistake before finishing the filing document because my husband brought it up. We weren't impressed, but mistakes can happen. What threw us off was them telling us to file it ourselves, and the poor communication came afterwards. After the tax docs were ready, they told us to go to IRS and submit our filing documents and pay what we owe. What? We never worked with a tax agent telling clients should be filing themseleves. They pretty much prep the doc and rest is up to you. And Ashleigh (bookkeeper) didn't even send us the necessary signature doc on time, so we ended up missing the tax filing deadline. And owed a late fee for that. She kept claiming she sent the doc to us before. We checked junk, spam, searched her name and company name, nothing. She didn't apologize for that. Not to mention she wouldn't reply promptly unless we CCed Mason. It was just frustrating and annoying. I can't wait till AI.s to replace people and jobs like this.
