They place a sticker on your bags then you're off to your airline to check your bags. I got through very quickly, only 10-15 minutes but I've heard some people complain of over an hour wait. I got through Delta in about 5 minutes to check my bag, but some airlines had long waits. Then TSA is next. Thankfully I had Precheck so it was only an hour, but longer waits for regular TSA. The rest of the airport was easy to navigate with C and D gates going to the left after TSA and A and B to the right. The airport is old amd dated, but terribly comfortable to sit and wait. The only Lounge is the Escape Lounge, no Delta dedicated lounge. It was about a 2 hour wait so I did not make it inside. Most people speak some English and it's simple to find your way.

I was told by the owner that there is nothing free about the UPS model in PR, and the vendor suffers a fee whenever a package enters or exits their premises. So yes, there is an unexpected fee, but when compared to the time and lines at the UPS facility adjacent the airport, it's a reasonable amount. Btw, the UPS facility is closed on the weekends, so there's that to consider too.

The clerk told me I could ship up to 5 bottles, I thought great because I am only shipping 2. I prepare my package, take it to their office, fill out the declaration and ofc listed the 2 bottles of Rum. They charge me close to $100 for the package and assured it would be delivered no later than 3 days. I keep tracking the package and don't see it moving. Two days later I called and they informed me the package was on hold for inspection. Now 4 days later I again called and the person to whom I spoke to said the package had passed inspection and was ready for shipment. A week goes by and packing was still showing a hold. I call again and spoke to some DHL customer service stateside, I said I was concern because I was shipping 2 bottles of RUM and the person told me the limit was 5. Fastforward 2 weeks later and after a couple of more calls, UPS said they were keeping the package because sending RUM was ILLEGAL! I said if it was illegal why did they not tell me when I asked originally BEFORE preparing the parcel. I had a long fight to get my parcel back because from day 1 they knew all the contents of the package. They finally agreed to send it back to me, but I ended up loosing the parcel fees they charged me. I would not even give them 1 star, but 0 is not a choice. Terrible customer service... use another carrier.
