What we know from her case is that she was drugged inside the club. There was speculation that it came from a customer, but it could just as easily have come from someone she worked with. Several dancers chose to stay silent afterward, and some seemed more focused on protecting themselves than telling the truth. Do not assume staff or other dancers will protect you. What's even worse is this: Management and security never called the police. Not once. This was confirmed during the investigation. When she collapsed, security locked the place down, refusing to let people in or out for at least an hour. I was told a dancer even had Narcan in her locker, but security wouldn't allow her to access it. Imagine someone's life on the line--and management blocking the one thing that could've saved her. Somehow, she was eventually transported to the hospital. To this day, no one can tell me how she got there or who took her. The hospital released her within hours--confused, drugged, and alone. She was sent home in that condition. She died alone later that same day. Her boyfriend was working out of town when he got word of it all. He tried checking in, realized something was wrong, and begged for a wellness check. It took hours for anyone to actually open the door. By then, she was already gone. This was one of the worst experiences of my life, and what makes it even harder is knowing how many people failed her: - Club management who didn't call the police - Security who blocked access to help - Dancers who hid information - A hospital that released a woman poisoned with fentanyl - An entire environment that treats human beings--especially women--as disposable I'm sharing this because there are real risks working in places like this. If something happens to you, do not expect this establishment to protect you. Do not expect staff to put your safety first. Do not expect police to care either--this industry is treated like a grey zone, where women don't get the same protection or urgency as anyone else. My sister deserved better. No one deserves to die the way she did--surrounded by negligence, silence, and people too afraid or too selfish to do the right thing. If you're considering working here or spending money here, understand this: If something goes wrong, you are on your own. The lack of action, transparency, and basic humanity from the people in charge contributed to the worst outcome imaginable. Establishments that profit from vulnerable workers have a responsibility to protect them. Based on my family's experience, this place failed that responsibility in every way that mattered.
