I ordered 2 awnings and 8 months later I got one which fell down because it wasn't even installed correctly. After reading the other reviews I feel very blessed to have gotten my money back for the awning I never received. There is another dealer in the area called By His Hands, LLC. I finally called them to ask if it was normal that it was this hard to get my awning. He called Sunsetter and they confirmed my second (larger) awning was never ordered. They removed Georgetown Awning as a dealer from their website and paid the installation of my new awning from this new dealer. This guy came by and looked at everything I had ordered compared to what I got (the one awning installed) and helped me figure out how much to demand back in return. I have Legal Shield, so I contacted them and they gave me the name of an attorney who wrote a demand letter to GA explaining what needed to be returned to me and why. It took several weeks but I finally was able to go pick up a check from their office and trust me, I prayed all the way to the bank where I cashed it ASAP. Buzz actually told me his wife died. And one time when I called he was surprised I was calling him and said he didn't recognize the number and he was at his wife's funeral. Why on earth would you answer your phone at your wife's funeral without even recognizing the number? I hope these people get shut down before they scam anyone else.

He did a great job of responding to emails when other companies wouldn't even respond to quote requests. He also came out two separate times to show us different color options and double check his measurements. -Bret and his crew are experts at what they do. I had some challenges with my patio because of the way that the masonry and columns were positioned. Most companies came up with poor solutions for installation. They wanted to use expanding foam tape or caulking but Bret suggested using framing and Hardie board and matched paint (that matched the house) to build out the structures to accept the guide tracks. He also suggested to use mortar where the guide tracks meet the limestone masonry. He said multiple times that his goal is to make it look like the hardware was built in during original construction instead of added as an afterthought and he delivered 100%. The also took care of all the electrical work and did their absolute best to hide all the power cables. -Professionalism of his crew was top notch. They were very respectful and cleaned up everything after each day (took 3 days). They even asked me if it was ok if they ate lunch on my patio. It was unnecessary to ask but appreciated. -His service and parts warranty was much better than any other company for the same brand of motors and shades. -His price was fantastic. He wasn't the cheapest but he also wasn't the most expensive, but the quality of his plan and installation was miles better than anyone else.

Sine I never spoke to anyone at Legacy I couldn't understand how we set a meeting time. I cancelled the first two and asked (via txt) for a phone call to sync schedules. Know what I got after that? Another txt "confirming" a meeting time I never heard about, much less agreed to. Something tells me there's an AI bot managing Legacy's appointments. I don't care: I told them I'd never do business with them an to leave me alone. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Price was right so we moved forward. Mario contacted me about taking down old awnings to redo. Guys were here exactly as scheduled and very polite and professional. Job was done quickly and they accommodated an earlier install because I was hosting a wedding at my house. No problem. They worked with me and got the job done. Mario and his crew are amazing. We purchased two 20-ft retractable awnings from Awesome Awnings in March 2023. Surprisingly, the…read moreawnings arrived in about 10 days and were beautiful. The installation went well and was timely, but then a popping noise soon developed whenever they each extend and retract. I made several calls and texts to Walter Whiddon but he was never able to convince his technician, Todd (apparently a solo contractor himself) to come and fix it. After 11 months, I called the manufacturer, SunPro, and they referred me to another awning company- However, that company no longer services SunPro awnings. I am still trying to run down alternate service- so much for the 10-year warranty. Walter is good at sales then disappears. He has been MIA. He spends a lot of time in Costa Rica and recently got his citizenship there, so I am not optimistic about any future service either.
