I'd come back here now, and grateful for the fantastic service. At first things were great. I was in town for work and various signs pointed here to buy craft beer. The store is not well organized (beer is not by type, sorta random, mostly singles) but whatever they have some solid selections. Then I made a mistake and didn't look on the bottoms of the cans. There were IPAs that had remove from shelf dates in summer 2024 dates on them when I unloaded. What the heck are they doing still selling that? I cannot recommend this place as a result. The gentleman working this afternoon. 04-03-2026. Was VERY RUDE to me I asked him what the price of a 50% bottle of liquor and he just sighed loudly and told me the price. That's ok. I'll put it back. He then snatched and put it back next to him. Then I asked what the cheapest cigarettes he had and grabs menthols. I asked if he had red 100's. He the said to me. Then you should have told me. I apologized and told him I am half deaf and don't hear well. Forgot lighters after the fact and he wasn't happy about it. I've been to the Central Store three times now and during each visit have found new brands and genres of beer that I haven't seen before. I've grown weary of the poor selection of brands offered in the big stores locally and have even resorted to taking road trips to Friar Tuck Liquors in Peoria and John's Grocery in Iowa City to gain access to many more obscure and tastier brands! I can now cancel my long-distance beer runs and rely on Central Store's vast selection of beers and liquor! Stay away from their foreign food section. It is all expired even if it says it's not. Gave them 3 shots at the food. Go to the Asian store , it's fresh. Love this store! Very friendly owner & great selection of all goodies. I visit every time I come to the quad cities.

The owner, Chris, is a real bourbon connoisseur, and they have a great selection of hard to find, rare, and unique whiskies. I'm not quite sure about the rest of the store because I never made it beyond the spirit shelves! It was such a treat to find this place in Moline, and to talk with someone who has a true passion for whiskey. Central Store - Hard to find Mango twisted tea - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Moline, Illinois

I have visited Central Store twice while in the Quad Cities. The selection of beer, wine and liquor is diverse as others have mentioned. The diverse selection includes both local beers along with cans and bottles from out of state craft breweries. There are also multiple varieties of snacks that are far greater than the typical convenience store. It is also a verified location on the beer application, Untapped. My three star rating is due to the COVID pandemic at the time of this review. On both occasions where I patronized Central Store, the clerk on duty was not wearing a mask. While other customers and I wore ours, I worry about whether I should have left instead due to safety. If not for this mask issue, my review would be higher. It is a great place for items, but I hope that the staff will be more cautious in the future. read more

If i could give zero star i would.... Let me just start by saying I understand that a store is able to refuse service and thats fine. But i came in to get a few things for me and some people and when I showed her my ID with a picture of me when i was 16 (im 21 now obviously) and i had cut all my hair close to a buzz cut and had a bit more weight on my and she just refused to believe it was me. I even offered to show her my instagram that would b proof enough bc u can see me changing over 5YEARS the ID literally expires in like 2 days. Then she decided to show other customers my id which is extremely rude and unnecessary and soooo embarrassing bc neither of them would believe me. She ultimately told me to go somewhere else and i did but after crying in my car. Thanks for that. read more

Good selection of items- this store really helps fill the void of convenience stores within walking distance of this area. The gas stations next door are limited in selection and expensive. The man running the store (whom I'm guessing is the owner) was very nice and cheerful. I will definitely be coming back in the future for basics that I forget while traveling. Working down the street & just found this place. I use to stop at the gas station in front of it but this is nicer. Not a Huge selection but I can usually find what I need or want. They have fresh pizza slices, hot dogs, sandwich's, chicken bites, & many other things. The staff has always been great & you always get a greeting when coming in. It's definitely not as crowded & small as the gas station & the parking makes it easy to get to. read more

I am from Las Vegas and I came to Moline to visit my fiancee's family... We came to this convenient store because we wanted some adult beverages at our hotel.... It was large and stocked with a bunch of snacks... We didn't know what we wanted to drink... Beer, wine, booze... the man working was great... He asked us questions... Like what we liked and what we drank.. to suggest things.. he also let us try 2 drinks.. which I've never even had offered to me in 'sin city'... We ended with a bunch of snacks and a bottle of Captain Morgan... Afew day later or showed up on our last night after I called and requested a bottle of champagne be chilled... When we arrived it WAS chilled... And we bought more snacks and a few small bottles of drank.. when I went to give him Id... He declined... Best craft beer selection in the area. If you want a huge selection of craft beer, many of which you can not get anywhere else in the area, then this is the place for you. They have many high end, hard to find beers and the staff are very knowledgeable. Get in new stuff several times a week. Plus, a great selection of snacks and goodies. read more
