Updated office and equipment, friendly desk staff and hygienists. They are realistic with dental work and what needs to be done versus what can wait a little bit (keeping in mind that most dental plans require the patient to pay a good chunk of the bill out of pocket.) I no longer live in the Liverpool area, but continue to make the 25 minute commute here because I like this office so much and it's very personable, compassionate care. They are closed Friday's and half days on Wednesday's.

Not only are…read morethe office staff friendly and accommodating, but the dental assistants who do the cleanings are wonderfully patient with the very youngest patients, and those who have special needs such as my nearly adult son with severe autism. My kids actually look forward to going to see the dentist without being bribed by toys, etc. I especially enjoy scheduling our appointments to occur concurrently so we can get in and out in the minimum amount of time. The later hours maintained by this office also allow me to schedule even on school days without having to pull my children out of school early.

I came across something unbelievably annoying this morning...being punished for being a healthcare…read moreworker. I had a normal teeth cleaning scheduled for this morning. When I went in, they took my temperature and asked me if I had come in contact with any covid positive patients. I said, not in about three weeks but I am a nurse so I cannot guarantee. (My employer is listed on my file!) I work outside of the home and therefore the risk is there. I explained the use of PPE at my place of employment, and how there are better processes in place than most and definitely better than some Joe Schmo hanging out at wegmans without a mask. But don't you worry, she "respectfully declined" seeing me today because she just cannot be sure. Are you flipping kidding me?! How is anyone 100% sure?! Why don't they send these screening questions before we get to the door?! What's the moral of the story? If you want your teeth cleaned, answer the questions with a lie to make them feel better. I appreciate her respectfully declining because I will be respectfully taking my business elsewhere and respectfully letting everyone I come in contact with the absolute hypocrisy of this establishment. If you're afraid to work with the public, then maybe don't open?! CNY Family Dentistry...not a good choice. Side note-this was after I had to remind them REPEATEDLY to stop changing my appointments without asking me. I would get reminders of appointment changes all throughout the year and when I would have initially scheduled all three kids to go at once, I would end up spending three hours at the dentist office due to their poor scheduling abilities. I was a loyal customer for several years. I've had several thousand dollars in dental work. The…read morepast few years were very disheartening. Dr. Romano put veneers on my bottom teeth that have slipped off several times. sometimes they broke so I'd have to pay for a new one. this happened more times than I can count. This caused me a lot of anxiety and money. Dr. Romano always seemed to hurry through my work. I just had a one veneer replaced a couple of months ago and have to have it put back on by another dentist because I have zero confidence at this point. I feel like I paid for high end cosmetic dentistry and was treated like I was an annoyance. When I requested my dental records be sent to my new dentist, all they sent were my x-rays. Wonder why.

Referred a friend to DRS. D&J. He had major work done, thousands of $'s. They accepted Care Credit…read morenever notified him that they no longer accept it and no signage informing. Surprise, had to make payment after a root canal & crown. Dr.D doing the root canal left him with his mouth wide opened to go to the front and help Dr.J take payment from a patient. Another incident X-ray machine was not operating, had to drive back the next day from Syr.and was charged an office visit. Next time returning for the crown from Syr., waiting and told the crown hasn't arrived. Days later it comes in. Then the crown falls out, had to go back Dr.J puts it back on. Then the crown falls out again and he learns that they sold the business. The new doctor charges him $200 and tells him that the tooth needs an implant. Also, informs him many patients have crowns falling out. What a scam! Like a hit and run! Whatever it takes, just make the $$ and retire!

And Dr. Juan Kassab was knowledgeable and friendly. The xray technician was equally as professional and friendly. I am going back for crown work this week and have total confidence in the outcome. Great staff. I left a great dentist in San Diego so feel very fortunate to have connected with this practice.

My wife went in for dental work. The procedure was submitted to our insurance company from her last…read moredentist appointment. This appointment was to finish the procedure. We received the summary from our insurance company in the mail a week or so before the appointment. The day of the appointment we received a bill in the mail from the dentist. When my wife showed up for the appointment, the dental office indicated that she needed to pay what was owed right then. My wife explained that we had just received the bill at home that day and that we usually mail in a check, but the dentist office wanted the money right then. My wife does not carry a checkbook with her, so she had to pay on credit, but was NOT told that they charge an extra 2.99% for a credit card change. When I was able to contact the dental office, I asked them to take the charge off of my credit card and I would send a check in the mail as I normally do. They refused and said that I had to bring them a check before they would cancel the credit charge. I refused to do this. I also asked why we had to pay more via credit. They said that there are notices all over their office about this (it's on the mailed bill too). However, I never noticed or considered this because we always paid our bill via check when it came in the mail. I would like to add that we have never been overdue on any of our payments. With this disagreement I indicated that I already talked to our bank and had the number of their fraud department and that I would contact the BBB about this strong arm tactic. We had no previous notice that the money we owed would need to be paid that day! Anyway, my wife went in with a check after this disagreement and they refunded the extra 2.99% they charged in cash and told us that due to the threats of calling our bank's fraud department and the BBB we are no longer patients. The dentist is great, but how do you deal with an office manager only focused on money and not the care of the patients.
