Get more than one estimate, and pick the one company who you feel will treat you correctly. I was in a hurry and I failed to do my homework. I got burned by this company at a total cost of $3856.00 Do not trust this company to be professional and keep in mind they do not warranty their labor or the equipment. Paul Cavezza, represented himself as having years of experience in Security, as can be seen by his resume listed on LinkedIn, he only had 9 months working as the General Manager and nothing in his background indicates he had any experience or knowledge in the CCTV business. I signed a contract with what I thought was a professional installer of CCTV systems. I depended on them to do the job right the first time. Part of the job was to run the cabling in the attic to the corners of my eves to install cameras. They failed to install the cabling to the corners of my eaves. In one case left 7 feet of exposed cabling on the underside of my eaves and connected a camera. Initially ,they also left 8 cables ends loose inside my closet, running from a hole in the wall to the DVR. I complained, and after two tries finally corrected this issue. After they left, I moved the DVR and the connectors on the back of the DVR pulled out of the cabling. I replaced the connectors myself, but only after waiting over two weeks after requesting they fix the problem. At this time Paul informed me there was no labor warranty, yet this was never mentioned prior to this incident. Paul also warned me that the DVR warranty would be void because I moved the DVR and installed new cable connectors. I then contacted the manufacture of the equipment and learned the only way to void the warranty was if I had opened the equipment. During the initial installation three cameras were bad, I had to wait until the following week to get replacements as they do not have replacement parts on their trucks. They didn't even have the basic replacement parts, and made at least 3 runs to Lowes for parts during the installation. I decided to relocate two cameras and I was willing to pay a reasonable fee to move the cables. Paul however refused to move the cables unless I paid $110.00 an hour for 2 techs each , plus an additional $150 for each cable as a service charge. I argued with him about the $300 extra charge ( mind you they had not completed the original installation yet) I told him he was cheating me because it wasn't like they had to make an extra trip he however did not care. In the end it cost me an extra $681.00 to relocate the two cables. Paul is so inexperienced, that he gave me three separate estimates to relocate the cable one estimate included 6 hours to relocate the two cables, it took 1.5 hours and only one person but he still charged me labor for two persons. This job was a two person job. It takes two people just to properly adjust cameras. Yet 90% of the time there was only one tech performing the work. It took over three weeks to complete the job, and it still was not done correctly. There were long delays because they did not have the necessary parts to do the job. I do not recommend this company to install anything. Paul, doesn't have a clue about what goes into installing a CCTV system. According, to his technicians, he has never pulled an RG59 Cable, or installed one BNC Connector. He overcharged me on the relocation of two cables. Paul does not know how to treat the customer, from his disingenuous statements about the DVR warranty, to his saying "We always charge $150.00 as a service charge in addition to labor to move any cable that was previous pulled, regardless if we make a separate trip or not. To his lies about his experience, and his lies about the labor warranty, after the fact stating they do not have a labor warranty. As a manager, there was a number of ways that Paul could have handled the situation, to insure that I was happy. For example he could have just relocated the cable for free, or he could have waived the so called service charge of $150.00 per cable, or he could have charged me for 1 hour labor for one person. Had he done something like my examples, he would have created good will, Instead he chose to overcharge me, his tech's, could not believe he had actually charged me the extra $300 until I showed them his email. This company could do better by getting rid of Paul and putting someone in the manager's position, who has experience and treats a customer correctly. I actually had a lot of other issues with Paul and this installation, but they are too many too go into in the space provided.
