We have laundry facilities where I live but the washing and drying process costs six dollars, and quite often your laundry isn't dry after one cycle. These dryers work quickly and the heat choices work. The cost here is great. It used to cost me $60 a month to wash my clothes where I live. I can do it here for $24. The attendant is personable, and a good worker. The machines that don't work are clearly marked. You do have to sit in your car or wander around while your clothes are washing and drying. That's not a big deal. In the summertime we can sit outside on the benches in the parking lot. Like I said, this place is bare bones.

Of course my washer WOULD take a crap on me right before Thanksgiving! You know, when in-laws are…read morecoming over and everything REALLY needs to be clean before the inspection...yea. Anywho! This place was open right at 7am (thankfully)! They had the huge commercial washers and dryers, which saves me sooo much time with all of the loading and unloading (who sorts by color anyway right? ) They have a change machine inside that accepts $1, $5, $10, $20 bills and spits out quarters for you to use. (This is a quarters only facility for the machines). Wash was $5 for each commercial wash (they all had 3 different washing times though, not sure if that was intentional or not) Dryer cost me a total of $2 for 3 dryers each at 30 minutes. They had plenty of folding tables inside on the North and West side of the building. There is also a little (yes, maybe 8 chairs tops) seating/waiting area. BUT! There's a taqueria next door! So, you know, tacos while your laundry is ready!

She also offered me credit at her laundromat. While I've yet to use my credit I did go to Sunshine today on my own dime because I had a ton of laundry to do after my son's winter camp out, including a queen sized bedspread. I used one of the great big $6.00 machines and did a huge volume of colored stuff, and put all my whites into one of the $4.50 machines. The pluses are that their machines are fast, about 25 minutes per load. When I went in the place looked the same as before: It's immaculately clean, everything works, and there is plenty of space for people to work. There's no waiting for machines, even on a Sunday. I was glad because I was in a hurry, and I'm glad that I went back. Like I said, I HATE giving bad reviews... hate it, hate it, hate it. I'm glad to report I had a good experience there today.

They take quarters, tokens, and credit cards, but I found it confusing at first. It ate extra quarters because the detergent dispenser was messed up. My major concern is that there is a lot of deferred maintenance. I had a bedspread that required a 20 lb. washer. Of the 7 units, 4 were out of order. The other 3 were being used. I had to use a 30 pound washer and one of the other customers told me there are always units that need repair. The out of order sign was also evident on other size washers. Please step up the maintenance schedule.

So let me get clarity on this, I pay YOUR facility to do MY laundry yet it's all up to me to wash fdry and fold, and pay to wash and pay to dry, yet my trickle charge from the wall outlet I cannot utilize why? What a shitty facility for a small community. It provides nothing but a pay me service and nothing else. Oh you get video monitored but cannot have access to a wall outlet? Oh I can use large machines but not a wall outlet? Unless that's of course I pay for that too correct? No I do not expect anything for free... but a little give back would be nice. oh and since yes, I am new to the area, I will not be using this local succubus that provides nothing to those in the community but more financial gouging....

I only use the laundromat to wash my king-size comforters because they don't fit in my home washer. The 4-load machine requires 89 quarters, and the 8-load machine requires 99 quarters. Yet there are signs posted everywhere warning customers not to overload the machines, which means only one king-size comforter realistically fits. So you're telling me it costs over $20 just to wash a single comforter? That's ridiculous. It feels like price gouging, especially considering this is the only laundromat in Eagle Point. People don't really have another option, and the prices reflect that. Clean facility, but the cost alone is enough to make me avoid coming here whenever possible.
