No need for fertility treatments. Any issue I had? He chalked it up to me needing to lose a little weight. C'mon now. Any time I'd ask about testing for something based on my symptoms, he'd say I didn't need it. I'd insist. He'd test me. And each time, I was right. Women know their bodies. When I started menopause I opted for an outpatient procedure to alleviate my symptoms. The anesthesiologist brought in for the in-office procedure couldn't find a vein to use. He ended up sticking me 27 times in both hands and arms. I was in pain and angry so they rushed things along so I wouldn't back out of the procedure. I was also told the procedure would cost me nothing. His office manager messed up. Later she said I owed $3000. Or maybe they knew that up front but decided they'd trick me into the procedure - then bill me for it. I have no way of knowing but I surely don't trust them. Oh, and once I had the procedure, they never called me to check on me. And they never called again to see if I wanted to schedule my annual checkup. I was no longer valuable to the practice, financially. I switched my OBGYN care to my internist after that last debacle and that was an awesome decision for me. I only wish I'd don't it much sooner.

It's been a hassle to make an appointment because of the entire COVID-19 outcome towards businesses having to be cautious and all. WELL yesterday was my first appointment and upon my late arrival I come in to speak and interact with the most nastiest Receptionists attitudes I've witnessed when it comes to seeking prenatal care . She didn't even let me finish the first sentence to come out my mouth. Essentially, she just yells out in the whole office when it was just her, another patient and me "DR. MONTANARO IS DELIVERING A BABY!, & IVE ALREADY MARKED YOU AS A NO SHOW." I must've had to really gather all my pregnant angered, Wild emotions REAL QUICK because she almost got popped in the mouth. She has no patients when it comes to colored people. She preceded with being so disrespectful to ask me "WELL I CAN PUT YOU IN FOR NEXT THURSDAY, DO YOU WANT IT OR NOT." I was real astonished so I started to treat her just as she was treating me. I told her "well why didn't you call me before 2pm to advice me that Dr. Montanaro was going into delivery because I just wasted 45 minutes of my time driving here when I don't have a google maps functioning on my phone." She has the audacity to reply me with another screamed reply saying, "OHHHH YOU WASTED YOURRR TIME, WASTED, WASTED HUH." She even started looking at the patient behind me for a reaction. The patient started laughing alongside her and she even looked towards the hallway to get more reaction from whoever was there to make her feel better as an evil woman she is. She says I have an appointment next Thursday and I HOPE SHE HAS THE SAME ATTITUDE AS YESTERDAY JUST TO PUT HER IN HER PLACE BECAUSE SHE NEEDS TO BE FIRED! #BLM WE ARE TIRED OF BEING TREATED MISFAIRLY. Dr. Montanaro I know is a wonderful doctor and I bet he helped give birth to a beautiful baby but he needs to see that while he's not in his office he's got a receptionist who thinks she owns the whole business plaza and that to me ain't sliding. I will have time next Thursday to make sure you get checked. Needs to be fired PERIODT!

From check in to discharge I had the best experience ever!! My experience was so great, it makes me look forward to my next stay. Went in for a major surgery (12+hours) and I was sooo nervous. I mean ready to go back home, asking the surgeons and everyone else why they were so calm nervous... Everyone was so pleasant and reassured me that everything would be ok. I made sure to let the surgeons and staff know that "I needed to wake up" and nearly 13 hours later. I woke up!! My surgeons were top notch!! If you ever get a mastectomy with reconstruction Dr. Perry and Dr. Mckane are your surgeons. I've seen pictures of others with the same surgery and I am glad that my incisions look nothing like that... The Anesthesiologist was amazing as well. During the surgery and during my hospital stay they made sure that my husband and children were taken care of. Usually you wait in the waiting room, but they let them stay in the room that I would be in during my stay so they were comfortable. My husband mentioned that they even had a beverage cart. I was in the hospital from Wednesday to Sunday and I was actually the only patient in the whole hospital for the last few days. The level of care was outstanding! Before you could think of it, they were there. I had a bit of an issue with pain management, but the nurses were there to ensure I was as comfortable as possible. Usually you get those few nurses that just don't enjoy their job, but I can honestly say that ALL of my nurses were the best of the best! The last thing you want after surgery is a noisy hospital and this hospital was sooo quiet. It was also very clean. Overall, this stay was like a trip to a fancy hotel:) This surgery was not a walk in the park, but this hospital made all the difference. THANK YOU!! Another bonus, the food... YUMM!!! I've never had hospital food so good at a hospital. In fact, I've never had food so good at some restaurants. I didn't have much of an appetite afterwards and they worked with me to try to get something that I could eat. The Cheesecake and chicken Alfredo was my favorite. They even made homemade chicken noodle soup. I even asked if they could come home and cook for me lol!
