Aspen Dental got me in later that day.
They took X-rays and the Dentist, Alice Huang, DMD, (pronounced Hou-ong) saw me after a bit of a wait, understandably, and determined my 'ol' tooth was fractured. I was scheduled for the next day, Friday, 10-23-26, for removal of the molar shards and got in within ten pminutes of my appointment.
Dental Assistant (DA), Ryan, (female) got me prepped, which included swabbing the area with a numbing gel and going over the post-op instructions (she was very calming, though I really didn't need calming).
A few minutes later Dr. Huang came in, injected the area around and directly inside where the filling had been housed with more of a numbing (probably novocaine) and after approximately seven minutes, quickly removed the shards. All Done!
I went home with a printout of the instructions, some Tylenol, Ibuprofen, an ice pack and more gauze to chomp down on if the bleeding continued within 2-4 hours. No problem!
I'm doing terrifically well and it's now been eight plus hours since the extraction.
I have my parents, who passed away 20 & 30 years ago, for nice, straight teeth (no braces necessary!) which I have gratefully cared for for many years!
