The staff was not friendly here. I made an appointment to talk about adult braces as they were cheaper than any other dentist around. When I got there and told them I was pregnant and wasn't sure about doing repeat X-rays as I just had one done at my other dentist they were rude and told me I couldn't be seen and they had to repeat them. They told me it wasn't a big deal to do X-rays while pregnant. They just made me feel uncomfortable. Went in for a deep cleaning and left with a chunk of my gum missing, which has caused even more problems. Not to mention, The Dr. literally walked in, was there less than 2 minutes, and walked out. Didn't even catch his name. They are quick to get you in so they can get you out to slap you with a fat bill. It's about how fast they can get you in and out, definitely not quality of care. The biggest problem with this place is no one answers the phone. They have a phone messaging system that when you leave a message someone is supposed to get back to you they never do. I have left so many messages with them and never heard back. The only way that I can actually communicate with these people as they have to go in and talk to them don't bother trying to use the phone. I find them to be very expensive. They're always trying to sell you more than you need. I'm 58 years old. I don't need all that new technology in my mouth. I'm beyond that point. They always seem to charge you more than what your insurance has available so that you walk out paying them a couple hundred bucks. This place is a scam. their claim to fix dentures for 7 years (when you buy the most expensive, they sell) Is a false claim. Denture as broken 4 times and they refuse to replace them, they have patched them back together so many times they have a gap and don't line up together. This has made them to lose and uncomfortable. I went in to ask about having them relined I was told by the person that makes them that they were no good they are cracked all the way through the middle and once they break they just keep breaking I needed a new pair I told her I know I do but they are still under the 7 year contract I signed with Aspen, but they just keep patching them back together. She went and looked at my chart and saw that they are supposed to be garneted (Teeth looked to worn down to be covered) as soon as she saw that I was right and realized she just messed up by telling me they were no good, she hurried out of room after a short while she returned with dentist. the dentist says you want your dentures relined take them out she didnt take them out of my hand she says they don't need to be relined. This is without even looking at them in my mouth watering. I told her they were very loose and what I was told from her own team member. I said I dont want them patched up again I wanted a new pair made. After my refusing to pay for a new pair because i had signed their contract that they would be covered for 7 years that its up to them to make it right. I did my part I paid the big money because of agreement I signed when I bought them. I honored my part it was up to them to honor their part. I left denture's there when I went back to pick them up I was giving the same pair back still misaligned with a big patch on them, A few months after that when they were again cracked i called the Concord office and learned i couldn't even get through with my phone number, i was being directed to a Aspen dentle out of town and that Concord dental where they was made and agreement signed wouldn't fix them. I was not rude at any appointment. i was told the truth by accident that they were no good and would keep breaking. By their team member ( as she's apparently trying to sell me a new pair,) Even though the 7 years wasn't up they wouldn't even patch them up again. Am I bitter, yes. They got me for thousands. Well, I should have read the reviews sooner. I'm out almost $8,000. Went in for lower jaw pain and was told I need ALL my top teeth out. Right away a contract was written. I had the problem with the lower jaw fixed but will NOT get dentures (maybe in the future. Worse part is they charged my CareCredit almost $8,000 @ 26.7% interest. I started going to Aspen Dental last year and wrote a review about being charged for things and not being able to get them off my bill. I am not as patient as I should have been. I am sorry for that review. Once all of my procedures were billed to my insurance Aspen Dental took care of the miss billed charges entirely. This is the worst place I have ever been to. They over charged us when we were just getting a cleaning but they decided to do unnecessary treatments and charged me $167. Then when I was on my way to pay $28 for my son's next appointment they said that he could not have any services until the $28 was paid. He would have not even been done with his service. I was 10 minutes away. The way the office staff talks to you is disgusting. I wasn't the only one that was complaining that day. My daughter went yesterday for what she thought was a cleaning. It wasn't a cleaning.. they only checked her teeth and did x-rays. Their "free evaluation" isn't free if you have dental insurance. They told her that she had to schedule her cleaning, and even though we get cleanings covered at 100 percent they told her that after insurance she would be charged over $250. I called to ask about this, and they had added services that she didn't need. What a rip off. Cigna should drop them as preferred providers because they rip their subscribers off. read more

I had my Insurance make a conference call with me to their Concord NH office to confirm that they were truly in Network for my Aetna Dental PPO plan for a root canal. They confirmed and scheduled an appt, but insisted it had to be a consultation appt first to provide the correct diagnosis and schedule the correct procedure. I went in good faith 1.5 hr roundtrip from my house. They forced me to get full mouth xrays and a full mouth dental check up saying I needed to go thru new patient steps before they would schedule me. Then at the end of the visit they claimed their systems were down and they couldn't provide me an estimate and a date for the root canal. I had to call them 3 days in a row to speak to a person who then stated that their endodontist is not in Network and it would cost me $2500 above the new patient first appt that was a waste of time. Their practices should be illegal. I am now reschecudling to go to an endontist in Methuan MA that is in Aetna Dental PPO. Do yourself a favor - do not use Aspen Dental. Now when it came to my appointment for my crown prep that's when things got a little hasty. I had to go back twice for impressions and today was the last straw. I had a tooth ache and currently lacking insurance I went to get an exam. I was pretty sure I had lost a piece of filling. The exam itself was fine the lady who did all the xrays and computer imaging was very nice. Then the hygienist came in and the upsell began. I would need a scaling and antibiotic treatment she could start this afternoon, hands me a brochure which explains pockets greater than 1-2 millimeter hard to clean with tooth brush alone. Mine were in the 1 - 1.5 mm range and my main concern is my tooth which I tell her. I should really buy the 135 toothbrush if I want to save my teeth. I have always been told I have great teeth. Next comes in the dentist no avoiding a root canal on the tooth that is bothering me, and the one next to it most likely cannot be saved without a root canal either. I make my way to the business manager who informs me we should start with the cleaning and scaling appointment which they can begin this afternoon. I remind them I am there for tooth pain and really would like to address that. She tells me my treatment plan is 8k!!! For 8k I can buy premium dental insurance out of pocket, and have money left to do the root canal at a real dentist. Ok... visit number 2.... evaluation of consistency... they earned this rating the branch is a busy location lots of patients. First off "I " was running behind this time. I should had been there a few minutes early but traffic was a bit against me so I got there on time so not late... when I walked in they didn't blink an eye at that some places give you crap, they did not. Super! which was nice cause I was already full of anxiety about the fillings so I didn't need that extra tension. I had the same dentist I had before cause I wanted her she seemed nice and relaxed! The cleaning was awesome Trish was my hygienist and she was patient and understanding. And my teeth felt great! I had a small lay over waiting for a room for my fillings but that is ok! Not deserving of losing a star. Like I said I get anxiety over the dentist and thought maybe she would allow me to listen to some of my music to get me out of my head and she did! AWESOME! The whole procedure was paced well I did not feel rushed or pushed as I was also the last one of the day! I do not think that if some people have had a bad experience at an Aspen dental location Other than this Concord location.. it should not reflect on THIS branch. Both times I felt I was welcomed wanted and cared for like I was their only patient... what more could you ask fo at a dentist? I'm new to the area and scheduled a cleaning here. I was surprised that there were already 7+ people waiting at 8am, but I showed up just about on time and checked in and prepared for a long wait. Less than five minutes later, I was called and taken to the back for my services. They recommended bitewings but I declined and they still provided my cleaning services, even though they said the bitewings were only going to be $49 since I don't have insurance. I would have paid for that but they didn't mention the small price until after we had already moved on. They also offered other ways to stagger services so I didn't have to pay for a cleaning, xrays, and a dentist exam all at the same time. My hygenist was very personable and did a great job cleaning my teeth. There was nobody before me when I checked out and paid my bill for services performed and I was on the road minutes after it was done. I have nothing bad to say about this location and will certainly be going back in a few months for a follow-up cleaning. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for some dental services. They were busy but it had no impact on my ability to get seen at the time of my appointment and get paid and out the door. I can't think of a true reason to give them four stars instead of five. I would just say, be more up-front with the costs of services to those without insurance who are asking about such things. But they certainly did a 5-star job in providing dental services. read more

I need to be completely honest... I generally HATE going to the dentist! That being said, my experience at this Aspen Dental location has been amazing. The communication has been stellar... They remind me of my upcoming appointments several times via automated voice mails and text messages, which I appreciate because it helps to keep me organized. The staff always explain every detail of the process/procedure and I have yet to be surprised. I have also found this office to be extremely flexible and accommodating. I recently ran into unexpected traffic on 93 north that made me 15 mins late. They were so gracious in helping to squeeze me in despite having a packed waiting room. Don't waste your time. Made an appointment for a cleaning and checkup. My appt was at 9 am. At 9:30 I was still in waiting room, asked what was going on. Oh sorry, they're running behind. Really? think I already knew that, 2nd appt of the day-how can we be behind already. Finally got X-rays (Kelsey was great, super nice), next got put in an exam room. At 10 o'clock I poked my head out to ask if I got forgotten. Then dr and hygienist came in, said they would come up with a treatment plan and review. Huh? Hygienist did a quick poke around, said I had great teeth, did I want to make my appt for a cleaning? What? That's what my appt was supposed to be for. Oh no, that's not what we do. We do an initial evaluation, then 2nd appt would be a cleaning. So after 1 1/2 hours, I was done. My treatment plan for my "great looking teeth" was suggested at two crowns, oral cancer check, fluoride treatment (I'm 60, fluoride treatment-really?) At a total of over $4k. I said no, did I want to book my cleaning, no!! Oh she just had a cancellation, did you want to do the cleaning now? No!!! I finally just left. The whole experience was crazy. I've never seen an office run like that ever. Would never go back. All they want to do is up sell you to stuff you don't need. read more

Second, I was told that they would not have time to do my procedure because I was 5 minutes late when actually, the appointment was made for 11 am- I arrived at 10:50 am and was told the appointment was for 10:45am and then arguing with the condescending hygienist over what time I actually arrived. She argued that it was actually 10:53 and due to this they could not guarantee they could do everything. What??? even if the appointment was for 10:45, an 8 minute delay when you are likely to be there for 2 hours should not effect anything. Horrible customer service! My tooth is killing me and they said I need a root canal . I prepaid for it $3300.00 and they said I had to wait 3 weeks for the dr to get back. I went a few days and my pain got worse and more frequent so I called and asked if there was anyway I could get my root canal sooner as I was in severe pain. I was even willing to go to a different location. The lady told me I could go in the following day at 9am at the concord location. I was shocked I said are you sure? I was told the doctor at this location wouldn't be Back for a few weeks. She confirmed all 3 times I asked her. Your all set for tomorrow she said. Later that evening I get a voicemail from their office saying they could see that I scheduled myself for a crown fitting in the morning and that I can't get a crown fitting until I have my root canal which isn't scheduled for two more weeks so don't bother coming in tomorrow just come in for the root canal in two weeks.... Now what makes me upset is first she got me excited that my tooth was going to get fixed the next day which it wasn't and second that they made it seem like I requested the crown fitting and I was dumb for trying to get it before my root canal. Which obviously i didn't request a crown fitting and I specifically said I was in pain and needed that part taken care of sooner. Then when I called in the morning to talk to someone about it they didn't even care that they made a mistake and just said well we can give u a refund or u can wait. I chose the refund which then found out that takes 7-10 business days! It only took 5 minutes to take the money but it takes 10 days to get it back? March 29th or 30th I broke a molar. I was seen in the Tilton office on 4/1/22 and the treatment plan was for a root canal and crown. The lady who would go over the payment options and scheduling was busy and asked if she could call me later that day, which was fine. She called a few hours later and I prepaid over the phone and scheduled the root canal around 4/19/22 in the Bedford office. Due to job changes our dental insurance was lapsing for a few weeks. We paid COBRA rates to continue the insurance until the end of April. I called on 4/19/22 to confirm my appointment and I was not on the schedule. I called the Tilton office again and was told (in a very complacent manner) that they didn't know what happened. I asked for my money back since I would not be able to schedule this for a few weeks. I did not receive a refund. Well, life happened, and I got busy and had to wait for the new insurance to begin, but still have this broken tooth. On Monday 7/25/22 I called to try and get this rescheduled. The person I spoke with indicated they had my insurance information all wrong, so I ensured she had all of the correct information and she indicated she would verify the new insurance and call me back. On Friday 7/29/22, I still had not heard from anyone and called the office which was closed. This led me to call the corporate office and I was told the office closed early on Friday (must be nice). I was told the district manager would call me by Monday 8/1/22. I did not get a call from the district manager but I did get a call from the office manager on 8/1/22 who apologized and told me that the staff was overworked and undertrained. I had an appointment for a root canal on 8/23/22. I had to pay more money because the miscalculated my daughters treatment plan. But ok, I need to get this taken care of because I am in pain and uncomfortable, so I paid more. On the morning of 8/23/22 my appointment was cancelled due to the provider being unavailable due to an emergency. Now I am not unsympathetic for a personal emergency and if this had been the only thing to have happened, then I would not be upset in anyway. I feel that this office is unprofessional and has treated me in an unethical manor. This series of events just tells me that the office staff and dental professionals at this Aspen Dental group do not care about their patients. I feel completely disregarded and mistreated. I do realize that in this "great resignation" age that staffing issues are real. But that doesn't change anything for me, I am still in pain and uncomfortable and risking further issues with this broken tooth and Aspen Dental have made it pretty clear that they could care less. read more

Please read this review! It'll save you a lot of trouble. I've gone here for about 4 years to have auite a bit of dental work done. I'm 22 and I wasn't too keen on brushing when I was younger. These people are butchers. I needed work done and this is where my parents brought me. I thought it looked pretty nice and high end, buts like the walmart of dentists offices. I went in for a filling once on a tooth near to the front. Inbetween the canine and front tooth. The dentist ended up drilling to deep and never told me that they had essentially killed my tooth. A year later that tooth fell out and I had to pay them to remove the rest of it. I went in to get a partial denture. It was too big and fit incorrectly in my mouth. There wasn't a moment where it fit comfortably in my mouth. The dentist literally told me "it's meant to be temporary so it doesn't really matter if it fits." I'm spending over $200 on something, it better fit. Do your job. Another time i had an abscess forming in my gums, it was unbelievably painful. I went in and the dentist drained it after attempting a root canal that he left unfinished due to infection. But towards the end i told him my novacaine had worn off completely, instead of giving me more, he ignored me. Then proceeded to put a syringe into the abcess and pump it full of a saline solution. Twice. I've never experienced more pain in my life. I just moments ago had a filling break while eating a soft food. I do feel it's my fault since I can't imagine how theh could have messed up a filling. But regardless, i can't find a reason as to why it would fall out so easily. They attempt to overcharge me at every turn. I have 2 insurances between my parents and my annual cleaning was going to run my $400 dollars. They tried to push a toothbrush on me among other things. I don't like going to the dentist, so of course I view things pretty negatively when I'm there. But i can honestly say I've never had one good experience there. I've had better work done at offices run by one dentist, at times when a single procedure would take 2 or more hours because he worked on multiple people at a time. Please don't go here. There are pleny of offices in the area that do much better work. Please, save yourself the trouble I've had to deal with. And definitely remember to take care of your teeth. Nothing but a denture mill. Being new to the area and due for a cleaning, we made appointments here because it looked convenient and they were able to get us in relatively quickly. I was given a full set of x-rays and an exam. Then I was sent to see the cashier who told me I needed $1200 worth of work before they would clean my teeth. Mind you, I go to the dentist every six months without fail and never heard this from my previous dentist. Went in for a cleaning and a new denture and my dentist was awful. The whole time she spoke to me she acted like she was angry at me. She had to do two fillings and she got some of the filling ingredient on my tongue. I then had my impression with the same woman and she gave me the impression and left for a half an hour, with the impression in my mouth! Today, I went in to get my denture, and long story short, they messed it up. I had high expectations for this place, but my hopes got let down by them again, and now they have to make me a whole new denture. This is unacceptable to me as I have to take personal time from work to get here for my appointments and I've wasted enough time in this place. Aspen dental overbooks their dentists, misquotes prices, and fails to transfer your dental records when you try to switch dentists. It took 5 months since I went in for work on my teeth to get their unorganized billing straightened out. I needed 4 fillings. I got two done that day, since they were too busy to do all four. Despite being told insurance covered all four, I received a bill for the two I did get done, and have been told repeatedly to disregard them while they sent the bill to my parents. We finally got it straightened out: the difference is apparently because neither of my two insurance policies cover porcelain fillings, which is their standard instead of silver. I don't care whether they're being disingenuous or are just disorganized, this dental practice is the McDonald's of dental practices. I will be getting entirely new x-rays and starting a new record at my new dentist, since my records were never transferred. read more

Would no longer recommend this place after going for years. Had 8 visits over a 10 week period for my permanent comfi-fit denture $2000. After all sorts of mistakes I get the permanent today. They try to make it fit. First pinching then too loose. Then all four front teeth have bumps and digits that look like deep blade marks. Dr says they can "polish" them out. Tech then comes back in and says "here you go", I say "but he was going to polish out these front teeth so they are smooth plus now it's so loose I'll need adhesive" her reply "he polished them and you can just use adhesive " Really? I ask if they can polish some more so they look good? She says No. I'm shocked and mad. I say, "wait, I have to go somewhere else to try to fix these"? She says yes we're done here. Horrible service. And when you buy this upgraded denture they show you how much better it'll look. That's BS because except for a 1 shade whiter tooth it looks exactly like the temporary denture. read more
