I decided to give this place a try after reading reviews claiming they had the best pedicure in town, but i had a much different expierence. I had an appointment, and when i arrived they assigned the American (blonde hair) girl to me. Everyone around me was getting wonderful pedicures and my girl was awful. She rushed through, barely gave me a massage, didn't razor off my callus, and had no personality. She barely said 3 words to me. I would give this place another try but I would specifically request another manicurist. read more

Just got the worst pedicure ever at Central Nails - Gahanna, OH. They did not even bother to buff or shine my toes before the polish - and I paid $50 for the deluxe pedi! When I mentioned my concern, the response I got was a shrug and an insincere "sorry". The gentleman did a decent job on my heels and other rough spots, but I will have to go back to my normal salon, L&T Nails for a new polish job tomorrow. read more

I was in need of a full set of acrylics today, and called ahead to make sure there was no wait. I called around 5, was told there was no wait and I told them I would be there in 10, they said perfect. Showed up around 5:10. I was then told it would be 10-15. Okay, I could deal with that. I picked out my colors and sat for another 20 minutes, then I was sat in a chair and left with no explanation for another 25 minutes. At this point I've been waiting for 45 minutes when I was told they were ready for me. Then I was told it would be "only 5 more minutes". I waited another 20+ minutes. By the time I was shuffled to another seat, I did not have time to even get my nails done (another 40-60 min expected which is ridiculous anyways) and when I expressed this to the nail tech she says "I'm sorry. You should have made an appointment." Best believe I let her know how long I had been there when I was told there was no wait. Will not be back. I would not recommend this place, as I've been there before and the quality + wait is not worth it every time! It is 6:35 and I left the shop maybe 15 minutes ago without getting any service, after being there at 5:10. Most nail shops are definitely not customer oriented, they're money oriented, with no consideration of time and concern for customers. read more

I have been there twice and was disappointed both the times . The first time I went there , got a gel manicure done and the gel color on one hand dint match the other coz she dint put enough coats on one of them . The second time , I picked one color and what I saw on my nails was totally different . When I pointed it out , the professional doing my nails was being rude to me and kept on asking me to dry my nails instead of Talking . When I found Central Nails I thought I had finally found my favorite nail salon. The prices are GREAT and the pedicures are fantastic. Yesterday I went in for a gel manicure and it is the worst polish job I've ever seen. I don't know the guys name that did my nails but i believe he is the owner-he wears a headset and answers the phone/books appointments. At any rate, he applied my gel manicure and the application of the color was terrible, I could see right away that it was streaky and patchy but I am not one to complain and I thought maybe once all was said and done it would look fine. Once he did the final seal and then cleaned the nail, the polish smudged/came off on three of my nails. This is NOT supposed to happen with gel. He had to take the polish off those three nails and re-do them-didn't try and figure out why it happened (maybe the UV bulb was going bad, etc), just immediately started over. They were busy so he had the lady next to him help with the removal. She used a dremel..a big no-no when removing gel polish...one of the benefits is that it is kinder to the nail than acrylics, etc. AT this point, I just wanted out of there. They re-polished my nails and sent me on my way. When I got outside I could see ridges and rough spots on the three nails that they had dremeled/re-done, I had gel all over my fingers and the polish application looks like something my 10 year old niece did. I am so sad to say that I will not be going back to Central Nails except maybe for a pedicure or regular manicure from the lady I know does a good job. She's the best! Had the worst manicure yesterday. I have a dedicated two week appointment w a fabulous manicurist but due to a last minute interview I needed a quick fix until my gel appointment w her. I decided to stop by central nails after calling to see if they had availability. The manicurist was cold and unfriendly. She kept pushing gel on me but I explained I have a standing appt every two weeks this was just needed as a last minute fix to look fresh for my interview. She was visibly displeased that I wasn't getting a higher priced service. She started painting my nails and the nail polish was obviously thick and tacky. She applied the first layer then switched it out with a "fresher" polish. Applying a very thick layer to cover the shoddy first layer. Then the top coat. The nail polish job was sub par to say the least. I then sat for twenty minutes and my nails were super tacky. She came over and said "you can leave but be careful". I told her my nails were still very tacky and I said I wasn't comfortable leaving yet. She used some weird drops on my nails and said "ok you're good". My nails developed these hideous air bubbles all over them and started chipping with in 18 hours. No shower, no hard labor, just normal daily activities and needless to say my manicure didn't even make it to my interview. Will not ever be back. read more

Took my 9 year old daughter in for pedicures. I was very happy with the service. They were friendly and did a very nice job for both of us.

I went in before a big formal event that night, getting a regular mani and a regular pedi. My pedicure looks fantastic, but I had a small problem with my manicure, to avoid this specify the length you want your nails as the woman doing mine cut them a little too short and left my nail bed partially exposed, which can be a little bit uncomfortable. Overall a good and quick experience that's great for a quick session of pampering. read more

I went there last minute after not being able to get in to my regular nail tech. I couldn't be more pleased. I needed a whitener balance and Tam did a superb job. I don't know that I've ever had a better result . I would highly recommend this particular gentleman to anyone with acrylics. read more
