I could not be happier with Tax Lady 1040. My taxes were filed promptly and competently. She explained the basics of how a tax return is prepared, and why certain things were included or excluded. In addition, she found errors the last two preparers had made and corrected them. And as a nice bonus, Donna is a very personable person who made me feel at ease with the entire process. I highly recommend Tax Lady 1040!

I emailed my entire neighborhood to see if anyone was a notary or had any suggestions. Someone suggested this source. I contacted them and a youngish gentleman called me back within an hour or two (I was thrilled). We set up an appointment at his place which was about 10-15 mins away, for early the next morning. He even accepted a time that was earlier than he typically starts working (I requested the favor so that my husband could get the form notarized and then travel to his workplace, in time for his 8 a.m. appointment. After setting all this up, one of my neighbors whom I don't know emailed that she's a notary and was happy to help us. Since she lives within a 2-minute drive from us and could accommodate my husband at 7:30 a.m., AND wouldn't charge us, we decided to go with her. I contacted the young gentleman who was expecting my husband early the next morning, and told him we wouldn't need his service after all. I profusely apologized of course, for troubling him. So, we didn't end up using him as a notary but he was so gracious that I give him as many stars as possible, without having even used his service.

Since Barbra is the only one who prepares taxes and is never there she rely's on her assistants to run things during her constant absence. The only English spoken by her assistants is "Barbara -10 minutes" but 10 minutes is more like 10 days. I need both hands to count the number of times I have stopped by to get an update on my taxes only to be turned away. This includes stopping by today (April 15th) TWICE! WTF? WARNING DO NOT USE…read more I'm the guy who just left the 5 star review yesterday. While I am currently waiting to hear back via email from this company, I have just learned from my personal lawyer that these two apostilles (certify criminal background document and then a Social Security ) stated they CAN NOT BE USED because they were issued from the COUNTRY of SWEDEN, NOT the USA. The company was aware that these two documents were for the country of Portugal and evidently people who live in the United States cannot have United States documents from a different country!!!!!! OMG NIGHTMARE I BET IS JUST GAVE $380 and my Social Security number to a thief!!! I am waiting for the company to email back and I will change this review if they rectify the situation. I also want everyone to be aware that all of the reviews are from July 2025 something is wrong with this company! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
