Worst service and poor quality tint! I had my car tinted about a year and a half ago. The tint has already failed. We asked to have it fixed and they wanted to charge us to remove it and to install new tint! We took our business elsewhere. Very disappointed! read more

Junior and his partner (didn't catch his name) are absolutely amazing at what they do! I made an appointment to get tint on my car and they followed through. I had previously gone to another place where I dropped my vehicle off on different occasions to get the tint done and went to pick it up at the end of the day to be told the person who did it called in or couldn't get to it. I have had my car for a few years. I've always wanted side windows tinted. I asked around talked with three or four people trying to get a referral for a shop that is fast and economical. I looked on YELP for help. Central Kool Tint did it fast, Upon picking it up I asked the installer to see a few item I had concern with. He looked straight at me and said "oh great, now what" I pointed out that the weatherstrip was cut, and the tint looked like someone cut the tint short and the edge of the tint was jagged. The tint didn't follow the shape of the glass. His reply was "well it's not a new car" implying that new tint isn't going to make the car look new again. He said he could fix it but I would need to pay for the new tint (materials) After I asked him to replace the sliver of cut weatherstrip he said "fine if you want this job for free go ahead" I told him I was not looking for a free job I just wanted it done right. He said "if you think I cut that weatherstrip your wrong" Rather then escalating this I felt it better to just walk away and pay for the job. Needless to say, I can not and do not recommend this place. Regardless of the speed or the economy. Bottom line he would not give me a warranty or receipt since tinting side windows are frowned upon. Hands down this is the best place in the area to get your windows tinted. I showed up with no appointment and they squeezed me in and my car was done within 2 hours. Did some research and was directed here because these guys do ceramic tinting; had to replace the tint on my windshield because of a rock crack. Was shown the shoddy job I had previously done and decided to have them strip off the old tint and start from scratch, and I am so glad I did. Ok catheleen I am going here to get my windows tinted and I would like to know more about the quality and if the quality is good and the people are nice plus prices are fair. I would consider that a good business deal.The price they gave you of $200 per car was not bad at all and you should not even be blaming them for tinting your windows where they are not suppose to be tinted because duhh its illegal look at all the new cars being made now days can you see inside the passenger window? YES.so common sense should have told you that ok this is something that obviously can't be done under the law andfor you to let them do this to your car is your own ignorance. read more

I was referred to this company by a friend and I was not disappointed. The owner is respectful and personable. So as far as a "businessmanship" goes he is great. As far as pricing goes, I find it hard to beat. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I had 7 windows tinted and was priced @ $150. The drivers side window was not done correctly and I did not have to mention anything to him and he stripped it off and completed it again so it was correct. As far as the legal concern of what windows should be tinted, etc., it is the drivers responsibility to know what can be done. You are bringing business to him, he is not soliciting to you. Also, Junior does not pressure you get any work done, so you do not feel that you are being pressured into buying. Highly recommended. read more

Central Kool Tint did windows on two cars for us, assuring us that the amount of tint they used was legal. When I received a ticket and checked the DMV Vehicle code, I was inforrmed that NO tint is legal on the driver's side window, or the passenger window. I called the company and was basically told "too bad" -- and if I wanted to drive to Santa Maria from Cambria, Junior (the only name he would give me) would remove the tint, but I'd have to pay for it! He indicated that he told us it wasn't legal, but it's just the opposite of what he explained. As a matter of fact, we were told he could do the front windshield, but it wasn't legal. We stated cleearly that we did not want to do anything that wasn't legal. We paid $200 per car. We are going to have the business cited for continuing to install tint illegally. I was very disappointed in the response I received from them and cannot recommend them. read more
