PLEASE READ! If you are looking for a compassionate, responsive, reliable veterinarian that isn't all about the money...DO NOT USE CENTRAL KENTUCKY VET CLINIC!!! After going to this vet for years with multiple animals I made an appt. to have my 16 year old Labrador euthanized. The appt. was made on Friday July 16th for 10:30 am on Saturday July 17th. I paid in full for all services and cremation, at the time the appt was made. Upon waking on Saturday and realizing that my dog was in the active stages of dying and suffering terribly I called Central Ky Vet to ask if she could be brought in earlier, as I didn't want her to continue suffering so. I was told to bring her in at 9:30 am. I arrived at the clinic at 9:25 am, checked in, and was told someone would be out. I proceeded to wait in my truck for over an hour with my dog in the back seat. I went inside three separate times and begged someone to come to my dog's aid...no one came! Then I was informed that, unbeknownst to me, they had cancelled my original 10:30 appt.! Still no one came! Finally, an off duty vet happened to pull up. I explained to him what had occurred and pleaded with him to help my blessed dog. He went inside, gathered the necessary supplies, and within 5 minutes my dog was out of her misery and pain. My dog laid in the back of my truck for an hour and a half actively dying, in excruciating pain! When all was said and done, I received not one single apology, no mention of a discount of the services I had already paid for...much less a refund, and after calling once I arrived home to obtain all records for all of my animals I was rudely hung up on by Sheila. Furthermore, the exact same experience occurred with another of my dogs less than four months earlier at this same vet! There is simply no excuse for the blatant lack of concern and compassion that both I and my dogs went through. The lack of professionalism, and shear incompetence of this clinic is staggering to me! To be traumatized to this degree and to have my precious babies to be treated so inhumanly is simply inexcusable. My precious "best friend" of 16 years did not deserve that! Please, if you love your fur babies and want humane, compassionate treatment...DO NOT GO TO CENTRAL KENTUCKY VET CLINIC! Save yourself the heartache and grief! No one should experience what I have!

On Thursday a couple of neighbor dogs got lose from their pen. They came over to our house and attacked my yellow lab Winston, who was in the back yard. Unfortunately, I wasn't home when it happened. Winston received two wounds on his back left leg area. I took him to Central KY vet on Saturday morning. Our appointment was for 730am. We got in the doors around 720am and we were placed into a room at 735am. The vet saw Winston immediately and checked his wounds. Winston got his wounds cleaned, received antibiotics, and pain meds. The total time at the vet was approximately 1 hour. My bill for the visit was - $257. The bill included cleaning the wounds (there were two), antibiotics, a cone, sedative and pain meds. The place was clean and well staffed. The staff is always friendly. The vet seemed knowledgeable. Tip: make an appointment, unless it's an emergency. It's only my opinion but the head cone doesn't work on very active dogs. Well see. 11-14-2018 *** 3 stars. Took our dog "Stonewall" to CKVC in Georgetown, KY. He developed a large mass on his chest area. He is an 11 year old chocolate lab. Our appointment was for 9am and we were placed in a room at 8:54 after arriving a couple minutes early. The Vet saw us at 9:01. The place was clean n as usual, the staff was friendly. The estimate to remove the mass was $737.51. That seems really high for just removing a small mass. I paid $33.92 for the vet visit today. I scheduled an another appointment to have the mass removed for Monday morning. I will take a day and look for a better deal or I might cancel the appointment all together. I will update my post when I decide. 3-23-2019 update review. I'm back to 5 stars lol. Our beloved dog, Stonewall, passed on March 10th. The diagnosis I received from both veterinary services advised his cancer was terminal and operating would (maybe) prolong his life. We decided not to have surgery and Stonewalls cancer grew quickly. Sad, but he wagged his tail to the end. Tip - There is a great Animal Hospice Service in Lexington. Yes, I said hospice. Lap of love. They were awesome. Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Being new to being fur parents, it's a little overwhelming the amount of vets there are between Lexington & Georgetown. I just wanted to take our girl to the right one. After consulting one of my dearest friends, this was one of the places she recommended. Being less than a a 5 minute drive from the house didn't hurt either. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The facility is incredibly clean. Our first visit within 10 days from getting her from LHS, Dr. Kirkland was her vet and she was not only helpful be very thorough with any and all questions I had. Our follow up visit today was just as delightful (she has a follow up booster shot). They are open after 5pm by appointment and on the weekends. I definitely feel as though they have been the best choice for us.

This was for just one tooth. An upper back molar.

Significant changes over the years! I would not recommend at all. Got there, checked in, saw the…read morevet. Checked out and reviewed the bill when I got to the car, charged a late fee of $10.60. I made the appointment on the phone, arrived 10 minutes early. When asked, the cashier said I WAS LATE, and that I had received an email before showing the appointment was at 1:30, not 1:45! That was it! I didn't look for an email but did not think I needed to. I guess I paid for two appointments. The regular one for $69.96 and the last one ever for $10.60!

When my husband came home late at night and brought in a cute, fluffy, black kitten off the street,…read moreI knew that kitten was going to be a part of our lives. He brought the kitten in with the intention of feeding it and letting it back outside -- which we did -- but the next day, we inquired about the kitten, found out it was just a friendly stray, and well, volunteered to take it in. And with that, Luna Mae became the third cat in our little animal family. She purred as we gave her a shower to wash off the dirt and fleas, and she warmed up to us quickly. We adored her. That said, we needed to get her to the vet for some shots and a check-up. We asked some friends if they had any recommendations and they pointed us here to Cleveland Animal Clinic. We met with Dr. Cleveland (and the friendly crew) and they gave Luna Mae the kitten shots she needed over four visits. Then came the time when we needed to get her fixed. This is done during select days of the week -- it is suggested the pet is dropped off when the clinic opens and picked up in the middle of the afternoon. I dropped Luna Mae off one rainy Friday. When I went to pick her up, they had an interesting story to tell me. Apparently, when the vet opened Luna with the intention of removing her uterus, there was none! They re-checked under all the fluffy fur and found the male parts..... and did what needed to be done. So.... we had a boy! We changed Luna's name to Cash. And had a pretty good laugh at that story. I was a bit disturbed later on that they didn't double-check the reproductive parts before prepping for surgery, but I guess they had just taken our word for it and overlooked the bits under the fur. (I had previously thought it was a boy, myself, but my husband said it was a girl.... go figure). I was not charged for the extra surgery, thankfully. Also, everything I've had to do was affordable and reasonably priced. I'm very happy about that. Despite the mix-up with the surgery, we're still using this clinic (and have been back already to get some medicine for a sick Luna Cash) but I prefer Dr. Barron. And we have a funny story to share!

Cleveland Animal Clinic 411 S Broadway St, Georgetown, KY 40324…read more This is a new clinic and I just want to let you know of my experience there. I one of my family members in a female dog named Teddy Fox. She had hurt her leg and was carrying it, The Dr. there has some staff getting her vitals. The veterinarian came in for a total of about 5 minutes touched her leg and said that she had a torn ACL and would need surgery. I asked if she could fix her but the vet said she wasn't a surgeon, which hindsight was a good thing. The clinic gave me a list of veterinarians that could do the surgery, which was going to cost anywhere from $1000 to $2200 dollars. I scheduled an appointment with the clinic that was going to do the surgery. Luckily they were a little more thorough. The Dr. at the other clinic did a consultation and said that Teddy did have a torn ACL that she had arthritis in her leg and recommended laser therapy. I called the other clinic and voiced my concerns, I asked for my money back minus the cost of the pain medicine they prescribed and I was pretty much dismissed from the veterinarian at the Cleveland Clinic, they weren't going to take any ownership of their recommendation for surgery or the 5 minute consultation I was given. So basically Cleveland Animal clinic charged me $100 to miss diagnose my Teddy, again luckily she wasn't a surgeon or I would have been out more money and put Teddy through more pain for a problem that did exist. As comparison the other clinic I took Teddy to spent a little more time understanding her problems, did and xray to confirm Teddys problem, did laser therapy and gave me pain medicine for $120. Now if you Love your animals like my family does go to someone that cares about animals and not the bottom line. I will write another review for the other animal clinic.

I was previously at Scott County Vet Clinic. My baby girl was spayed and dew claws removed. My…read moredischarge instructions never said anything of removal of dew claw sutures. She starting limping and I had to remove her sutures myself with my skills as a CMA. I also noticed last week she had a small area of pus coming from her spay surgery site. I couldn't take her back to Scott County after how she was treated. I had a great friend and coworker recommend Cleveland Clinic. They got our girl in Christmas Eve morning and today is Tuesday and her incision looks fabulous. They are so clean, professional, prices are great, and nice. Our girl was relaxed unlike the other vet office. We will definitely be going back and I recommended my mom to transfer her dog as well. Customer Service at it's best!!!! Thank you so much for your care for our girl and Merry Christmas!!!!
