This is misleading, since I was denied without fair consideration. It felt dishonest and unfair. It's frustrating to feel judged based on where I live rather than the care and commitment I can offer. Every dog deserves a good home, and every responsible applicant deserves to be evaluated honestly and fairly. Save your time and go somewhere else.

I made it clear that I just wanted one service. But I had to pay approximately $171 for services I did not want, what I wanted should have only cost me $66.64+tax (per their invoice). I understand why they conducted the services they did, but...they did not listen to me. I may even use them again, but I will be prepared to ether insist on what I want (not what they want) or just be prepared to pay for services I do not want or go somewhere else." The whole staff is very kind, they are easy to get ahold of, they have answered any random questions I've had and have an excellent reminder system for shots that are needed. Having been here several times now, I've never seen another animal booked as the same time as me. Which has created a very positive experience and my dog has never been stressed visiting here (like they were at another clinic).

The whole process to get 4 shots (even though I only came for 3) with an "exam" (you have to pay for this to get shots, but I'm not sure what exam took place) took 1 hr. The vet was very kind. Initially they took my dog back, where I was not allowed to go, to give my dog an exam and shots. He came back very soon after and they said they would give the shots in the waiting room for my comfort. (I didn't even finish typing my text out that this was happening before they came back). I don't know why I couldn't go back, but this was a very different experience from any vet visit I've had up to this point. I appreciated that the vet got on the floor to administer the shots and was very kind. This meant a lot!!! Nothing about the well being of my dog or their joints was discussed (like has been typical for me in past visits to different vets). My dog did get 4 shots, one I didn't ask for, and they kindly comped me for this. However, they comped me for a shot that my dog DID need as part of annual shots and not the one they DID NOT need. I appreciate the kindness very much so, but and hesitant about the oversight of the 4th shot - to be fully transparent. I received a quote and they had the correct shots when I called to make the appointment. It was not as great of an experience as our normal vet, we did get a free shot (but it's also not needed), I saved $50, but also am not sure that an examination was really done. They have rooms that are specific to cats and dogs but treats for both in all rooms. In the cat room they have calming spray that you can spritz around their carriers to help relax them. Both the techs and the vets were incredibly kind and efficient. They worked to sooth the cats and distract them while the shots were being given. I will return here for future visits. Side note: they have a sign in the lobby about being kind to employees and the fact that they have to have a sign like that is sad. If you aren't thrilled with them, act like a grown up and go somewhere else. It's not ok to abuse the employees who showed up to take care of animals.

Owners and management, if you're reading this, you have an immature young lady managing your front office who treat your customers like a high school nemesis. Went to a doc in Cynthiana was told what the damage was and I needed an orthopedic surgeon. They said there was no one locally that did that kind of surgery. I could go to Cincinnati or Louisville or there is one that travels to Georgetown periodically that they would put me in touch with. They said it would be expensive $4500+ and it would be 2 weeks before he could do it. If I couldn't afford it then they said I could do nothing and it would just hang there with no use or amputate! I refused to believe there was no one else!! Lexington?! Really?!? So in a panic I started calling vets to see if I could get referrals for a vet that does orthopedic surgery and I got several diff referrals and was waiting for callbacks when I called the Animal Care Clinic in Lexington. Lori answered the phone right away and was so kind and helped calm me down then she said "let me call the Dr and I will call you right back." I sent her images for Bailey's leg and figured it would be awhile but within 5 min she called me back and said "the Dr said come in the morning and he will take a look and that he thought he could help her." I literally cried! The next morning I walked into the office. I was amazed!!! There wasn't room full of people and their pets in an overcrowded waiting room. It was like walking into a very nice hospital! It was decorated so nicely! It was clean and organized! I immediately was greeted by Ms. Christina at reception and she took me straight to a room. Lori came in and then Dr. Schroyer. He examined Bailey and sat down and explained her injury, how he would repair it, recovery time etc. I was worried it was going to be a fortune but he was so much more affordable! It made it possible for us to afford it. The surgery went great. We went home and the office would call periodically to check on her progress between follow-up visits. Animal Care Clinic was the ABSOLUTE BEST clinic I have ever been to!! Working with rescues I have seen quite a few clinics so I can say with confidence you will not be disappointed with Animal Care Clinic!!! We stop by just to say hi when we're are in Lex!! She runs in so excited to see everyone!!! I figured she would be afraid to go in but even today she gets so excited!!! A dog being happy to go to the vet's office after surgery?!??!
