We took my dad's barn cat here before she was adopted by my son. They were very accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly. Do take into account that the waiting rm is small..5 chairs & 1 spot for someone to stand. Small staff but with that comes a personal touch. read more

All 4 Paws in Georgetown Kentucky killed my Lily. They sent her home with meloxidyl after a spay and she died of renal failure within 48 hours. Idk why they would give me that medicine when it says on the meloxidyl website that it kills cats. read more

Then I come to my appointment, you are sorry but you are booked today and my appointment was yesterday. I came here to get my dog, Fendi checked out due to last nights fiasco. She got bite by a dog where the owner said, "my dog is anti-social" but reality of that lie was that her dog was more of a vicious beast and shouldn't be in public if it can't get along with other dogs. This dog bite occurred at a local pet store that I shop at regularly, both were on leashes, but I would never let my dog come around an unfriendly dog. Lesson in life for me, but at least my vet, Dr.Wade was super helpful and explained to me how having antibiotics is the best route especially after a dog bite. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. They took great care of my dog and I will be coming here from now on for all my pet needs. read more

I feel conflicted about the review I'm about to leave because I don't think it's a bad place to take a pet if it's something routine but don't if it's anything more than that. This will also be long and detailed, so only read if you're ready for the ride. I took my cat Morty there last week (Thursday Oct. 28th) because he had stopped eating a few days before. Since they're so busy all the time, I had to drop him off and wait for a phone call after Dr. Wade could look him over. They automatically thought it was his teeth and since Thursdays are their extraction days, they could easily get him in and extract all of them up to his canines. I reluctantly agreed, I knew his teeth were bad from the vet I took him to when I adopted him from KHS in June, but he was always able to eat and he LOVED to eat tons of food no matter what shape his teeth were in, that cat could really put it down. I put my trust in them because they are the professionals. There was some miscommunication with the price also, I was told over the phone that it was $300 while they had him anesthetized looking over his teeth, but they didn't see it getting even close to $500. When I went in to pick up Morty, my bill was over $500 and I was in a bit of shock. They were willing to drop it to $485 and I wasn't going to argue after that because I know veterinary medicine is expensive and they have to make money somewhere. They gave me antibiotics and pain medication to give to him. He seemed fine and even better on Friday, he actually finally ate a little bit that day. He took a turn for the worse on Saturday and Sunday, so I brought him back in on Monday. They didn't know what was wrong with him, so they put him on fluids and gave him an appetite stimulant. They did more blood work, basically the same they did on Thursday, it was still showing his liver and kidney levels were elevated. They sent him home and was told to bring him back the next day (Tuesday Nov 2nd) for more fluids. They weren't going to charge me for that day because they didn't know if they did something wrong or what at that point. He was absolutely miserable by that point and didn't seem like the same cat at all. I woke up the next morning and he was almost unresponsive, it was pretty scary seeing him like that. I rushed him back and they said his blood sugar was low, they gave him some dextrose for it. At this point they're finally thinking there's something else wrong with him that wasn't his teeth. So Dr. Wade tried doing an ultrasound but she said she didn't know what she was seeing, if anything at all. She called in a specialist that knows how to read ultrasounds ($400) even though I told her I was reluctant because of the cost. That's when they finally got their answer, he actually had cancer in his intestines. We had to euthanize him right away. I put my cat through unneeded stress of pulling his teeth while he was dying of cancer because they were positive it was his teeth, and I'm out over $1,000 that I didn't really have. I should have taken him to my regular vet at Pennyroyal in Lexington because I know he would have done xrays or an ultrasound right away instead of messing with his teeth. Though, I wanted to save money by going here, but I ended up paying more in the end. Would I bring my other pets here in the future? For vaccinations, sure, but not for anything else. read more

I went in a few days ago because my cat went missing and I wanted to give them the information in case someone brought her in, and also to get her microchip #. The young girl at the front desk seemed put out by this request, she did look up the microchip #, but she was rude, no compassion whatsoever. And never took the rest of my information or wrote anything down. Central Kentucky Vet was a much better experience and the girls at the front desk were MUCH more compassionate and helpful. read more

I would give them a zero star. We brought our 15 year old dog who has not eaten, hind legs give out on her and she's incontinence and the vet said she was healthy. Her normal weight is 18 pounds and she weighs 9 pounds. The so called Doctor said she needs her teeth cleaned and wanted to find her a home. This decision was hard enough and we prepared or family and they wanted us to have her teeth cleaned and probably tests done on her. They are just in it for the money not what's best for the dog and our family. Now I know why they are the lowest star vets in town. read more

solid vet. very knowledgable and honest. i dropped off my puppy for a growth removal and was told it wasn't necessary according to the growth and age of my pet. the vet called me and told me everything about the growth and it will eventually go away on its own. i highly recommend this vet very good and trustworthy. read more

Always willing to try and fit in a sick pet, even when their schedule is full. You can feel the love of the employees and know that your pet is in the best care possible. They accept care credit which is the closest thing you can get to a payment plan at a hospital, which makes unexpected costs even easier to bear. They have been doing animal rescue work with organizations out of the county for over 9 years, which I haven't heard of at any other vet. The vets are kind and will take time to answer all of the questions you may have. Truly a caring clinic and I can't ask for anything better! read more

Here you can tell they really have a genuine love for animals they always offer tender and Compassionate Care and go out of their way to make you and your furry friend feel comfortable we've been a customer of this location for years now and cannot see your way fit to go anywhere else this location they will go out of their way to ensure that you are satisfied with the service that they provide and they will also help see you through the more difficult times like when you have to have a pet put down all in all every time you come here it is a five-star experience the location is very clean staff it's very pleasant and even the pets you can tell are not malcontent another awesome thing about this place if they accept Care Credit and their prices are extremely competitive this makes taken care of your furry family members much easier and less of a burden on our wallets which I think we can all agree is something that we can all appreciate but of course none of us want to cut any Corners whenever it comes to caring for our pets and when shopping at this location doing business with all four paws you don't have to worry about that you're getting quality Care at an affordable price and I will continue to do business here and I will continue to trust these people with my pets 5 out of 5 Sorry for any spelling errors or lack of quotation I'm using text read more

They just sent my 15 yr old little beagle hound home with my daughter after telling her that she had a tumor it was probably breast cancer. They said to wait till it ruptured and then told my daughter that she needed arthritis meds. We luv our dog and of course we don't want her to leave us; but she's going to be in so much pain from this and it will be beyond terrible if it were to watch it rupture! That vet didn't seem to care about our 15 year old doggie whose got arthritis, a heart murmur, and now breast cancer. We're supposed to sit and watch this?????? How dare that vet to say let it go and rupture, bleed out and take a chance of septicemia??? We're broken hearted. Oh and she also said she needed her teeth cleaned. Again, we love our dog and have cared for her so good but I can't watch a cancerous tumor grow on her and all the pain and danger of that happening! This is NOT RIGHT! read more

I researched online hoping to find a caring/compassionate Veterinarian in town--Especially after leaving my Yorkie Poo's Vet of 15 years -THIS WAS NOT A GOOD DECISION-- Upon the first visit, I paid approx $500 for a thorough assessment and care of my pet. That's great if the care is great. Since this time, I've called twice to request a refill of my dogs medicine (my husband is the pharmacist who has always filled the meds!!) and this office does "everything possible to make any situation difficult". Including hanging up on you when you are clearly upset. Please pay attention to my review and find a Veterinarian practice that has time to care for your pet. read more

I'm a puppy rescue foster and was picking up 2 puppies that they were holding (briefly) until we could pick them up. One of the puppies had a wound of unknown origin, that they said they would clean for us and also treat them for Coccidia. We agreed and paid them over $74 for the services. They never gave us any antibiotics for the wound. The medicine they sold us, 2 other vets said the puppies should never have been put on. Both puppies ended up at an urgent care, 48 hours after being treated, by All 4 Paws. They had dehydration and the wound, that they didn't give us antibiotics for, resulted in him being septic. Total bill was over $2000. The pup with the wound nearly died. Everyone was surprised he didn't. I can't say I have a lot of faith in this vet. read more

If I could put zero, I would. I adopted a dog that was certified by All 4 Paws as Spayed. She had a scar and a tattoo. When she came into heat we started investigating. 1. My dog was actually about 3-4 months old but listed as 2 yrs when she crossed the border into Canada which would be legal as she was as listed above certified. 2. Too young to spay 3. My vet just opened her back up to find the entire female parts intact, costing me a pretty penny. Shame on this vet for falsifying documents and charging well intentioned rescues for services not performed and causing undue hardship for a dog to undergo another procedure. read more

Don't buy your meds here! My dog had his teeth cleaned yesterday, and he was prescribed a pain med (carprofen). I was charged $10.00 for 2 tabs! After I checked several online websites, AND the other vet that I regularly use, I realized that the markup charged by A4P was at least 500%! When I went to return the unused drug, I was told that "by federal law, we cannot refund drugs". It just seems to me that it is good customer relations to make at least some sort of price adjustment, in view of how much profit A4P makes on the sale of this drug! read more
