All 4 Paws....I'm disappointed in you right now. I call to get an appointment for my dog. State that I cannot do a Thursday but I can have a 215p appointment Friday. Then I come to my appointment, you are sorry but you are booked today and my appointment was yesterday. Perhaps your front desk people need to be the ones that should be chastised and not your customers. My dog is #1 in my life. Why would I not come to an appointment that I made for my dogs well-being?

I came here to get my dog, Fendi checked out due to last nights fiasco. She got bite by a dog where the owner said, "my dog is anti-social" but reality of that lie was that her dog was more of a vicious beast and shouldn't be in public if it can't get along with other dogs. This dog bite occurred at a local pet store that I shop at regularly, both were on leashes, but I would never let my dog come around an unfriendly dog. Lesson in life for me, but at least my vet, Dr.Wade was super helpful and explained to me how having antibiotics is the best route especially after a dog bite. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. They took great care of my dog and I will be coming here from now on for all my pet needs.

I feel conflicted about the review I'm about to leave because I don't think it's a bad place to take a pet if it's something routine but don't if it's anything more than that. This will also be long and detailed, so only read if you're ready for the ride. I took my cat Morty there last week (Thursday Oct. 28th) because he had stopped eating a few days before. Since they're so busy all the time, I had to drop him off and wait for a phone call after Dr. Wade could look him over. They automatically thought it was his teeth and since Thursdays are their extraction days, they could easily get him in and extract all of them up to his canines. I reluctantly agreed, I knew his teeth were bad from the vet I took him to when I adopted him from KHS in June, but he was always able to eat and he LOVED to eat tons of food no matter what shape his teeth were in, that cat could really put it down. I put my trust in them because they are the professionals. There was some miscommunication with the price also, I was told over the phone that it was $300 while they had him anesthetized looking over his teeth, but they didn't see it getting even close to $500. When I went in to pick up Morty, my bill was over $500 and I was in a bit of shock. They were willing to drop it to $485 and I wasn't going to argue after that because I know veterinary medicine is expensive and they have to make money somewhere. They gave me antibiotics and pain medication to give to him. He seemed fine and even better on Friday, he actually finally ate a little bit that day. He took a turn for the worse on Saturday and Sunday, so I brought him back in on Monday. They didn't know what was wrong with him, so they put him on fluids and gave him an appetite stimulant. They did more blood work, basically the same they did on Thursday, it was still showing his liver and kidney levels were elevated. They sent him home and was told to bring him back the next day (Tuesday Nov 2nd) for more fluids. They weren't going to charge me for that day because they didn't know if they did something wrong or what at that point. He was absolutely miserable by that point and didn't seem like the same cat at all. I woke up the next morning and he was almost unresponsive, it was pretty scary seeing him like that. I rushed him back and they said his blood sugar was low, they gave him some dextrose for it. At this point they're finally thinking there's something else wrong with him that wasn't his teeth. So Dr. Wade tried doing an ultrasound but she said she didn't know what she was seeing, if anything at all. She called in a specialist that knows how to read ultrasounds ($400) even though I told her I was reluctant because of the cost. That's when they finally got their answer, he actually had cancer in his intestines. We had to euthanize him right away. I put my cat through unneeded stress of pulling his teeth while he was dying of cancer because they were positive it was his teeth, and I'm out over $1,000 that I didn't really have. I should have taken him to my regular vet at Pennyroyal in Lexington because I know he would have done xrays or an ultrasound right away instead of messing with his teeth. Though, I wanted to save money by going here, but I ended up paying more in the end. Would I bring my other pets here in the future? For vaccinations, sure, but not for anything else.

Checked out and reviewed the bill when I got to the car, charged a late fee of $10.60. I made the appointment on the phone, arrived 10 minutes early. When asked, the cashier said I WAS LATE, and that I had received an email before showing the appointment was at 1:30, not 1:45! That was it! I didn't look for an email but did not think I needed to. I guess I paid for two appointments. The regular one for $69.96 and the last one ever for $10.60!

When my husband came home late at night and brought in a cute, fluffy, black kitten off the street,…read moreI knew that kitten was going to be a part of our lives. He brought the kitten in with the intention of feeding it and letting it back outside -- which we did -- but the next day, we inquired about the kitten, found out it was just a friendly stray, and well, volunteered to take it in. And with that, Luna Mae became the third cat in our little animal family. She purred as we gave her a shower to wash off the dirt and fleas, and she warmed up to us quickly. We adored her. That said, we needed to get her to the vet for some shots and a check-up. We asked some friends if they had any recommendations and they pointed us here to Cleveland Animal Clinic. We met with Dr. Cleveland (and the friendly crew) and they gave Luna Mae the kitten shots she needed over four visits. Then came the time when we needed to get her fixed. This is done during select days of the week -- it is suggested the pet is dropped off when the clinic opens and picked up in the middle of the afternoon. I dropped Luna Mae off one rainy Friday. When I went to pick her up, they had an interesting story to tell me. Apparently, when the vet opened Luna with the intention of removing her uterus, there was none! They re-checked under all the fluffy fur and found the male parts..... and did what needed to be done. So.... we had a boy! We changed Luna's name to Cash. And had a pretty good laugh at that story. I was a bit disturbed later on that they didn't double-check the reproductive parts before prepping for surgery, but I guess they had just taken our word for it and overlooked the bits under the fur. (I had previously thought it was a boy, myself, but my husband said it was a girl.... go figure). I was not charged for the extra surgery, thankfully. Also, everything I've had to do was affordable and reasonably priced. I'm very happy about that. Despite the mix-up with the surgery, we're still using this clinic (and have been back already to get some medicine for a sick Luna Cash) but I prefer Dr. Barron. And we have a funny story to share!

Cleveland Animal Clinic 411 S Broadway St, Georgetown, KY 40324…read more This is a new clinic and I just want to let you know of my experience there. I one of my family members in a female dog named Teddy Fox. She had hurt her leg and was carrying it, The Dr. there has some staff getting her vitals. The veterinarian came in for a total of about 5 minutes touched her leg and said that she had a torn ACL and would need surgery. I asked if she could fix her but the vet said she wasn't a surgeon, which hindsight was a good thing. The clinic gave me a list of veterinarians that could do the surgery, which was going to cost anywhere from $1000 to $2200 dollars. I scheduled an appointment with the clinic that was going to do the surgery. Luckily they were a little more thorough. The Dr. at the other clinic did a consultation and said that Teddy did have a torn ACL that she had arthritis in her leg and recommended laser therapy. I called the other clinic and voiced my concerns, I asked for my money back minus the cost of the pain medicine they prescribed and I was pretty much dismissed from the veterinarian at the Cleveland Clinic, they weren't going to take any ownership of their recommendation for surgery or the 5 minute consultation I was given. So basically Cleveland Animal clinic charged me $100 to miss diagnose my Teddy, again luckily she wasn't a surgeon or I would have been out more money and put Teddy through more pain for a problem that did exist. As comparison the other clinic I took Teddy to spent a little more time understanding her problems, did and xray to confirm Teddys problem, did laser therapy and gave me pain medicine for $120. Now if you Love your animals like my family does go to someone that cares about animals and not the bottom line. I will write another review for the other animal clinic.

She starting limping and I had to remove her sutures myself with my skills as a CMA. I also noticed last week she had a small area of pus coming from her spay surgery site. I couldn't take her back to Scott County after how she was treated. I had a great friend and coworker recommend Cleveland Clinic. They got our girl in Christmas Eve morning and today is Tuesday and her incision looks fabulous. They are so clean, professional, prices are great, and nice. Our girl was relaxed unlike the other vet office. We will definitely be going back and I recommended my mom to transfer her dog as well. Customer Service at it's best!!!! Thank you so much for your care for our girl and Merry Christmas!!!!

Before I moved to Midway, I had heard friends talk about Dr. McGregor and how fantastic she was. Secretly having not yet met or been to the clinic, I thought my friends were excessively complimentary. However, I would soon be forever grateful that they had possibly underestimated her skills. We had only been patients a year or so (maybe only had had a visit or two) when on a Sunday afternoon my almost 13 year old west highland terrier had his intestines ripped from his body when he was viciously attacked by a neighbor's dog. I called the clinic with our emergency, and within 15 minutes she had returned the call and I was at the clinic. His insides being out - the significant injuries, my dog should not have lived that day. He is only here now because of her skills and devotion and the dedication of her staff to their patients. He is famous at the clinic now as the dog who lived. I love every extra day I have with my dog, and this clinic is the reason I have them. They deserve all the stars! P.S. They are also good with the ordinary stuff. I appreciate their transparency in care and their loving but down-to-earth approach.
