We…read morewere originally scheduled for Sunday but they called us on Friday and told her the weather didn't look great so they accommodated us for Saturday first thing in the am. We told them we needed to be out by a certain time and they made sure we were in and out in record time. There was a whole separate indoors area for spectators which was perfect for a cold day in Florida. And once the bride to be was up in the plane and about to jump we were able to move outdoors to exactly where she would land and took some great pictures. Ben gave some good instructions on how much time it would take between when they took off to landing so we followed that and it was pretty accurate. Ben was the bride to be's instructor/co flyer and he was great! Funny, knew his stuff, clear, and cool. The ladies in the front registration area were also nice and on top of everything. The pictures they took were so good and $40 which was reasonable, the video was more expensive so we just got the pictures. We would certainly come again and this time join her in sky diving!

It felt necessary after spending 20 minutes in his lap on the way to 10,000 feet before he opens the door an says I have to hang my feet out of the plane. My biggest fear was my weight pulling Caleb out of the plane unexpectedly. The view was spectacular over the area. The wind was so calm and quiet once the chute opened. The rolls in the sky were so much fun. The landing was exciting as well. Caleb told me to lift my legs and feet just as we landed on our asses and skidding for about 10 feet. All of the instructors and videographers were awesome and fun. I was lucky enough to have Art as my instructor. He's absolutely the best! So funny and cool. He made sure I had the best, most adrenaline fueled birthday ever!! I've done a lot of industrial health and safety work and I appreciated how Art and everyone else were constantly checking and double checking equipment, altitude, and time; and worked like a well oiled team - I felt no worries. I highly recommend purchasing the video package if it's your first jump. Scotty was my videographer and he did an amazing job! Those videographers are really crazy! I received a link to my video package within hours and love the amazing video they sent. Of course I've shared it with everyone I know!! But what really surprised me was the number of high quality photos they sent as well. So worth the money! Personally, I think you'd be crazy to jump the first time and not get the video/pictures. They sent me a link for a discounted second skydive and as soon as I get my taxes filed I'm taking advantage of it! So, to our surprise, we got to watch skydivers land, all well taking photos of this mural. It was a pretty awesome experience. Skydive DeLand is world renowned, opening its doors in 1982. It caters to first time jumpers all the way to world champion jumpers. This was Erica Group's first mural! It is representative of an old bi-plane. On her website she says she completed it by 12/20/2017. This day is a day I will never forget. Finding all the murals was such an adventure. And one that was for free. I highly recommend that everybody do this. Get out and see West Volusia County. You'll be surprised as to what you run into:) Definitely put a day aside for your adventure as you'll need it, as a whole day of fun awaits!

(February 2024) WOW. First experience. You can imagine how…read morescary it is leading up to the skydive. We had people in our group ranging from thrilled to extremely anxious. All of our jumpers were extremely skilled and made us feel so safe. I was paired with Carlos Silva who landed less than five minutes before coming right back up with me. Martin got me all strapped up with my gear and let me know Carlos would be taking me. It helps to know their names and feel more connected with them before strapping up. I was worried about meeting him later than my friends met their jumpers but I was lucky enough to watch him land with another jumper so I knew he was good at it! Our party was 6 total so we got the whole plane to ourselves. It was nice to see our jumpers being buddy buddy with each other bc it allowed us to talk on the plane too versus sitting in terror. The jump out is immediate. He was good at reminding me anything I needed to do and wasn't (relax, etc). If you have preferences (keep it slow, no swinging etc) you should tell them. They'll do their best to accommodate what your needs are. Pro tip: don't close your mouth while you're up there as much as you may want to, the video will look crazier lol with all the air blowing on you Thank you Carlos and Jump Florida!! Unforgettable.

That made me think of "Jake from State Farm (Insurance)". If you've seen the commercial, you'll know that the husband is downstairs in the dark talking with Jake from State Farm on the phone at midnight or some odd hour. His wife comes downstairs and goes, "Who are you talking to?" Husband goes, "Uh, it's Jake, from State Farm". She grabs the phone and goes, "Hello, who's this?" Jake answers, "It's Jake with State Farm". Wife gives phone back to husband and goes, "She sounds hideous." LOL. Basically, that's the type of customer service you'll get.
