A mermaid (manatee) came to say hello to our boat!
    Ame G.

The absolute BEST boat tour agency in the area! Thank you to Susan, Sandy, Mike, and Captain Jeff for such a wonderful experience! We were visiting to see the manatees and had out of town family visiting us before we left and wanted to do something relaxing, such as a sightseeing boat tour. We found Crystal River Watersports and called them up to see what their next day availability was. Thankfully, they had our preferred time slot available, AND they are dog friendly so our small dog could join us. We booked their Private River Cruise Boat Tour ($260 for up to 6 guests and lasts approximately 3 hours), and it was AMAZING! Jeff was our captain/guide. He has all the qualities one would hope for and more. He was incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly, and had a great sense of humor. One of the many things we enjoyed him sharing with us was that Crystal River Watersports is one of the first companies that adopted and adheres to the standards of the Guardian Guide program, which emphasizes quality eco-tourism to ensure the manatees' survival, conducting tours on the manatees' terms, and the sustainability of the industry. It was apparent how much Captain Jeff loves and protects these wonderful creatures and the waters they share. We felt in very good and responsible hands with Captain Jeff and the Crystal River Watersports company as a whole. We saw multiple manatees on our tour along with different birds and one alligator, too! Jeff knew all the spots and history of the area, and he made our tour the highlight of our visit to the Crystal River area. We felt extremely gifted to have had such an amazing captain and guide. The manatees, Crystal River, and the surrounding waters are extremely lucky to have such an amazing and dedicated steward on their side. Thank you Crystal River Watersports for providing such a responsible and phenomenal service to the area and its visitors.

Turtles chilling on a log. So much wildlife to see here.

Came here with my girlfriend on our recent momcation to Tampa and had a blast. What an adventure! First time kayaking for me and I'll definitely do it again. 3 sisters spring was absolutely beautiful and we need to come back when the manatees are there. Customer service was great and 3hrs was plenty of time for us to explore, kayak, swim, and return. Highly recommend, especially for the price and experience.

    mom and baby manatees

an unforgettable tour! I had Kevin as my captain and Lauren as my guide for the manatee tour and it was so amazing! there were so many manatees and Lauren made sure that I got to see them as well as possible, as she was guiding me through the water and got me face to face with one! I highly recommend the morning tour, the guides are so knowledgeable on all the wildlife and conservation efforts in the area and you can buy souvenirs and pictures at the end! an amazing experience to put on your bucket list, i had the time of my life :)

Captain Jim and Dakota were awesome! We saw so many manatees and learned so much about them. We also learned a lot about Florida nature. If we ever return to Crystal River, we will definitely go out with Crystal River Watersports again!

    Manatee right off the boat

My boyfriend, parents and I did the deluxe manatee swim tour. Captain Robert was not only knowledgeable about EVERYTHING manatee related, but also all about the river and other marine life. Super smart guy and super friendly. The manatees were all over the place and some swam right up to us. If you come look but DONT touch. There are volunteer patrollers there to make sure you behave yourself but these beautiful creatures are in their home environment, im sure you wouldn't want someone walking into your living room and poking you. :)

A good value and they worked hard to make sure that we saw manatees. They worked hard to make sure our kids did well, too.

To be perfectly honest, I did not want to attend the CPR class I was halfway dragged to. I thought…read moreit was going to be extremely boring, way too long, and since I'd already taken one about a decade ago, I felt like I was good to go and didn't need the class. I sat down in my seat with a huff, my goal just to survive the next three hours. Spoiler alert.... not only did I survive, I LOVED the class. In fact, I wanted to go around round on the practice dummy. I left feeling confident, capable, and most of all, grateful. This was entirely because of Julie, who not only owns CPR Rescue Training Services, but who donated her afternoon to teach me and everyone in my church about CPR. My first impression of Julie was that she was intensely focused, driven, and authoritative as she sat everyone down, had them sign in, and, for those of us who wanted certification cards, pay for them. She was highly efficient, almost to the point where I was worried she'd be barking orders at us the whole time. However, I realized after the class began that Julie wasn't this dictatorial event leader, but a truly caring woman who'd been working in the EMT/CPR world for over thirty years and just had that "everyone listen to me before we start because I need everything in order" work ethic that is so admirable. I felt badly for thinking she was overly forceful because her ability to get over forty people to not only pay attention but actually learn something is highly commendable. This is the kind of instructor you want. You don't want some wallflower who walks in and asks everyone to take their seats in a quiet voice, you want the strong woman who barges in, gets everything squared away in under five minutes, and then addresses the room assuredly and holds their attention the entire time. This is Julie. Throughout the class, Julie made sure to add funny little quips and amusing advice while teaching us how to save lives. My personal favorite was when she reminded us that just because the CPR dummy was on a table did not mean we were supposed to heave a choking victim onto a table before beginning CPR. I think I was laughing for thirty seconds over that, because the visual was just so striking. She had plenty of sentences like that, that were funny in the moment, but, as I reflected on them later at home, were also very effective, because I remembered the lessons. I've always felt that people who use humor, who make others laugh while teaching them manage to ingrain knowledge into students better than those who try to be overly serious. Julie was serious when it mattered, though. It was very evident how personal this class was to her, how much teaching CPR meant to her. She never made light of dangerous situations, and in fact, frequently brought up terrible events in ger own life and career as examples and while some were painful to listen to, they were just as important as the funny bits, to remind us why we were all there. Not just to have fun, but to learn. And she melded the two better than any college professor I've ever had. Her instructions when it came to the practical applications portion were concise and easy to follow. I appreciated that she never raised her voice or got annoyed when someone did something incorrectly. Her calm, "do it this way" demeanor during our drills helped everyone to stay calm and do a better job than if she'd been a drill sergeant like I have seen others teaching safety classes be. Knowing when to be a firm leader and when to be a gentle leader is an incredibly important skill, and Julie is a master. I would recommend Julie and her CPR Rescue Training Services to anyone interested in taking a CPR course. Not only will you walk away smiling and chuckling, but more importantly, you'll walk away feeling like if you were ever out to dinner and saw someone choking you could render aid without looking like an idiot or being useless. And that is a great feeling. Thank you, Julie.

We learned so much in a short time, and our instructor wove humor into her lessons throughout. Even heavier discussions became more comfortable when she presented them in this way. While I still hope to never need to use these skills, I feel like I could, and would, should the occasion present itself. I found all the information to be really current and easier to understand and remember than when I became certified in the late 80's as a lifeguard. Highly recommend this class with this instructor to any group looking to learn life saving skills!

I have been CPR…read morecertified for like 15 years and did not renew when it expired recently due to working from home. Of course I then get hired to work in person and need the CPR certification! Since I was responsible for finding a place on my own, I came across this place. This place was close to home and they had appointments available within the week so I went for it. It is a tiny place in a tucked away plaza. I arrived earlier than my appointment time because I was unfamiliar with the location. Upon arrival, I was greeted immediately by Ken, who welcomed me and informed me he is the instructor. He took my ID to verify I was me and provided some information about the class. I had a fingerprint appointment to drive to later up in Gainesville and Ken assured me I would get to that appointment in time. The class started promptly on time and there were a good amount of us. There were plenty of resources and tools for us to learn and be trained properly. Like I said, I have went to an abundance of CPR classes over the years so I know what to expect. I will fast forward and say this was the BEST CPR class I ever took!! Ken was very knowledgeable, personable, and humorous. Ken also generously offered anyone to come back for refreshers at any time because honestly, it is easily to forget some of the steps if you're lucky to not use CPR. At the end, Ken printed out our CPR cards and proof we were there, as well as submitting it to the boards. We also received the CPR keychain masks! I highly recommend this place!

The instructor took the time to explain things thoroughly. Highly recommend for ACLS renewal.read more

She made learning the clinical skills for the exam straightforward and stress-free. The course included an online module for the written portion, which made it super convenient to study at my own pace, and we were also given a workbook to help prepare for the hands-on portion. One of the best parts of the program is the open lab sessions--they allow you to return and practice clinical skills with an instructor's supervision, which will be a huge help in building my confidence before the exam. I was so impressed that I came back for my BLS certification, which was taught by the owner, Clay. Clay was amazing--experienced, kind, professional, and genuinely hilarious. He made the material easy to understand, and the class flew by. In past CPR courses I've taken elsewhere, I usually left confused or unsure about certain parts. Clay made sure everything was crystal clear and took the time to answer everyone's questions thoroughly. I honestly wish Gator CPR offered even more certifications like LPN training--I would absolutely come back for those too. Highly recommend Gator CPR to anyone looking for quality training in a supportive and engaging environment!
