Another great experience. This was my second tandem skydive and Skydive Deland is my first and only choice in Florida. Carlos was amazing! He made me feel safe and helped me neither entire experience. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Deland. If you are at all thinking about skydiving whether that be for tandem, AFF or beyond, I highly recommend coming here. #1 they're one of the largest drop zones (DZ) in the US. #2 the world's best come here to train, so why wouldn't you? #3 (and maybe most importantly) the people. From the moment you step on to the DZ you feel welcomed and at home. It doesn't matter if you're talking with the restaurant staff, riggers, manifest, instructors, the awesome people picking you up from the student landing zones, or just other skydivers. They treat you like a long known friend or family. Now don't get me wrong, they'll also whip you into shape like your family will but it's all in the name of making sure you are safe and learning the right skills for your level. I can confidently say I do not think I would have been as successful in my goal of completing AFF had I gone somewhere else. People make the place, and this place is MADE. Thank you to everyone for your overwhelming support, kindness and guidance over the last 10 days. Can't wait to come back again. Also the owner Bob, flies one of the planes! How cool is that?! And the food is so good! (Honestly I did not have high hopes, but I stopped buying groceries and just eating there. It was great!) Pro tip(s) for first-timers: 1. Start times are not optional (if you sign up for something and it's 8am, be there at 7:50am. Respect peoples time and they will respect you). Also if you want a good spot on the plane or for instruction from coaches, show up early! It's first come first served, don't get mad when you're 3-4 loads in because you choose to sleep in an extra 30 min. 2. Respect the rules for the drop zone. Instructions from staff (coaches, instructors, riggers, gear store, manifest, etc.) are not optional. You are there to have fun and learn and they are also there to help you with that, but they are also more importantly there for your safety. 3. Be a sponge. Everyone is going to have an opinion or want to share their stories with you. Listen to everyone, be open to feedback. Soak it all in! Just remember at the end of the day, your instructors and the pilot are the #1 bosses for your safety. 4. Let go of control to gain control. You'll hear this time and time again, "relax." Which seems counterintuitive. Literally how do you relax when you're free falling at 13.5K above the ground? But trust me, when you stop fighting it that's when you have the most control. Listen to your instructors when they say take a breath, arch and relax. It really is the #1 thing that will help you improve.

    Great day!!

Outstanding customer service and experience! We had the best time today- friendly, fun staff, no pressure to bit anything extra, and absolutely gorgeous views. Perfect first jump experience and we will definitely be returning to jump again!

Absolutely amazing service!!! Shout out to Sydney K. for her kindness and planning skills, I don't think my trip out to Florida would've gone as smooth as it did without your assistance! Thank you Fraser, it was an amazing experience and it was great being your tandem partner!! Paulie (don't know if I'm spelling your name right) thank you for the fantastic jump footage! We arrived super early to try and be the first ones to jump and we were (besides those that were not tandem jumping)!! Beautiful open fields to watch the sunrise. Plenty of parking and the property has their own restaurant (don't recommend eating before jumping lol). Overall experience and service was outstanding and definitely worth its value. Absolutely recommend purchasing the video footage, my cousin's and mine both turned out amazing! We even got t-shirts after our jump! I can't wait to get my AFF license and come back to jump with you all again!

Thank you for letting me celebrate my final event for 2021. I want to thank Rodriguez and the cameraman, Paul. Now that I know not to panic for trying to catch for air once I jumped off the plane and relax and go with the flow. I've loved every bit of it. I will do it again; I didn't say right now, but it will happen again because I enjoyed it. I will do it again definitely for my 60th. That's a countdown now six years from now.

John was the consummate professional, made me feel very safe and made an experience that could've been terrifying just amazing. This birthday, 45 btw, will go down in the history books. From sign in to video presentation, the processes here were easy and done with a smile. Highly recommend!!

That made me think of "Jake from State Farm (Insurance)". If you've seen the commercial, you'll know that the husband is downstairs in the dark talking with Jake from State Farm on the phone at midnight or some odd hour. His wife comes downstairs and goes, "Who are you talking to?" Husband goes, "Uh, it's Jake, from State Farm". She grabs the phone and goes, "Hello, who's this?" Jake answers, "It's Jake with State Farm". Wife gives phone back to husband and goes, "She sounds hideous." LOL. Basically, that's the type of customer service you'll get. I got a new Viso II Altimeter. I told my friend that I wanted to order it first thing in the morning and Arlo texted me as soon as she got into the shop. I received such quick and amazing customer service with her super fun personality. I will go back to do business with them for sure. Thanks Skydiving Outlet!! :-) Here's the commercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47cAxRX3aDg

As we know, UPT's lead times are very long so the wait can make you a bit antsy. All I have to say is that the level of customer service and commitment that Arlo has put forth over the past 8 months has been the most outstanding service that I have ever received in all my purchases inside and outside of the skydiving world. I want you all at TSOD to know that I really do appreciate all the effort you put forth to ensure top quality customer satisfaction in every way possible. Arlo has helped me tremendously with regards to any gear questions that I had in addition to maintaining more of a personal relationship as well. She would fill me in on status updates on the production of my rig as well as just sending out an email to say "hey how's your skydive season going?" I highly recommend going to TSOD for all of your skydiving needs since I can assure that you would receive the same level of service that I have had. All of the knowledge shared and recommendations offered have helped me grow as a skydiver and instilled trust and confidence in knowing that I was receiving top quality gear. Thank you so much for putting in the extra effort in customer satisfaction. I'll definitely be calling again soon for additional purchases!

I've done a lot of industrial health and safety work and I appreciated how Art and everyone else were constantly checking and double checking equipment, altitude, and time; and worked like a well oiled team - I felt no worries. I highly recommend purchasing the video package if it's your first jump. Scotty was my videographer and he did an amazing job! Those videographers are really crazy! I received a link to my video package within hours and love the amazing video they sent. Of course I've shared it with everyone I know!! But what really surprised me was the number of high quality photos they sent as well. So worth the money! Personally, I think you'd be crazy to jump the first time and not get the video/pictures. Gatorland was started in 1949 by Owen Goodwin as a 1/2 day Family Attraction. It has since grown and now the Park has over 100+ Gators including a few albino's. Since I last visited the Park in 2018, Gatorland has added a Zipline with 5 lines which zip over Gators. This was an absolute MUST DO! The 2nd favorite thing I LOVE doing, is feeding the parakeets aka budgies You can purchase a bundle of popsicle sticks with peanut butter at one end rolled in bird seed. The Birds will flock to You and start eating. You can actually feel their "tootsies" on your skin and they are very warm. You MUST shuffle you feet to avoid stepping on the little ones who are pecking away at the dropped birdseed on the floor. My 3rd favorite thing is feeding the Gators. You can purchase Turkey hotdogs, break them into pieces and toss them to the Gators! They come swimming up to you to be fed. How COOL! My next favorite is the Gator Show which involves completely harmless Gator: wrestling. Basically the Trainer gently straddles the Gator and tips his chin under his. Be sure to come hungry as they have a cafe which serves, you guessed it: Gator bites/nuggets. They are SO yummy!Okay by now, you have figured it out: I LOVE the entire Park and highly recommend that if you visit Orlando, add Gatorland with Ziplining to your Vacay Adventure, you won't regret it!
