I took my husband on this adventure for his birthday and we had such a peaceful, amazing time. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset out in nature, saw lots of wildlife including what I most hoped for: manatee, and enjoyed breakfast at the Old Spanish Sugar Mill. We only did 1 night due to having very little ones at home. I would recommend doing 2 nights if you can to really be able to take your time and enjoy the experience. The owners were very thorough in providing information and instruction to help us get the most out of our 24 hours. They were nice, flexible, and gave us all the information we needed in advance to be prepared. This was definitely worth it and a great experience. We plan to go again!

Booking this site online was a breeze using the KOA App, in this day and age it's nearly impossible…read moreto book a site on a holiday weekend especially with only a few days notice unless by happenstance you score one because of a cancellation. I decided to come here to celebrate the July 4th weekend first because of the availability, it's proximity of my home and certainly because of the beautiful riverside location. I've driven through this campground several times before booking to see the accommodations. I agree with other reviewers most of the sites are pretty close together this is especially true for a Class A MotorCoach. The site we reserved was a back-in site along the tree line so there was some partial shade and even though the sites were gravel they did offer a level and mostly compacted pad. The location of the utilities were somewhat close to the neighbors and the sewer connections were a little closer to the awning side of our RV than I would of liked but the connections were positive and I never detected any odors. The 50 amp electrical service was stable and the fresh water quality and pressure were good. The old saying is you can't pick your neighbors and although for the most part RVers are usually friendly and courteous but some can be a little less than ideal - some just don't understand common campground etiquette, one would hope this is simply out of ignorance and not intentional but either way this is when you hope the campground management team steps up without a request especially when it's a rules violation, anyway it wasn't a deal breaker, just annoying. The close proximity of the campsites probably escalates the frustration of these minor infractions which would otherwise go unnoticed, I somewhat expected some of this when I saw how close the sites were from each other. I was overall okay with the entire experience, the accommodations met our expectations, the on-site restaurant and bar were a positive, the campground was well maintained, the location next to the river makes up for a lot of mis-cues and since the agenda is to relax and enjoy most sins are forgiven. I definitely would come back but I'd try and request my site instead of being assigned a spot without input. I think the per day price is a little steep but not outrageous by any means...

Some of the slips are among the RVs camping here. This was our first time at a "commercial" campground. We usually camp at state parks. The woman that manages this place is real nice and helped me out. I forgot some refrigerated medication at home; had my sister-in-law ship it but could not get to the office before closing time. She put the padded envelope in the late arrival box so we use our code to get it when we got back from Hollywood Studios. The girls really enjoyed the pool each night. They said the showers were really nice too. The maintenance people dropped off a picnic table the same day we requested one. Trash pickup service is every morning. Just set your bag out by the street and they will pick it up and carry it to the dumpster for you. There is a store with all your camping needs. I bought some sewer hookup enhancements that I didn't know I needed. Other than these items I mentioned, we didn't really spend all that much time in the campground, "camping" like we usually do. We used it for a base camp and spent all our time gone to the beaches, Disney parks, water parks and eating out in Orlando. Review #500

After being out of boating for about ten years due to job-related travel, I decided to get back…read moreinto boat ownership on the east coast of Florida this summer. My wife and I became interested in a split console design by Robalo with a Four Stroke Yamaha. I started a national search online and found a used boat that interested us at Florida Family Marine in Deland, Florida. While I was in Orlando on business, I made a call to Florida Family Marine and was fortunate enough to connect with Josh Gourley, the Sales Manager. From beginning to end, the process of acquiring the boat was made easy and enjoyable by Josh and the entire team at Florida Family Marine. The staff on Old New York Avenue politely showed me every aspect of the used boat, and they disclosed both good and not so good items and made everything on the boat 100% functional before I picked her up. They detailed the cushions and cockpit as well as the hull and made the boat feel new to me. The test drive on the St. Johns River (which included some much-appreciated trailering schooling) with Josh was more like a fun family outing with your relaxed brother-in-law than a shake-down run! Josh and the Florida Family Marine team take the hassles out of purchasing a used boat. Boats are expensive vessels in 2025, and this family business takes the risk and discomfort out of the process with a "customer first" focus from beginning to end. They are patient and thorough and insist on making the process an enjoyable effort. This is a model that should be emulated for used boat sales across the nation. I would very highly recommend Josh, Austin, and the entire Florida Family Marine Team.

This is important because I traveled 1.5 hours one way to see it. Second, Frank, Mark and Geoff were awesome. Really wonderful people to help me through the buying process. I also want to mention Austin responded to my initial email inquiry in a very timely manner and fully answered my questions. My message to the owner, you are lucky to have such great employees. I love the boat I purchased. It was the one I really wanted but couldn't quite afford until I found Florida's Family Marine. Best price in the whole state. I will definitely tell any of my friends and coworkers who may be thinking of purchasing a vessel to consider Florida's Family Marine first. Thank you again for a terrific buying experience! Sincerely, Duane F.

The captain was an excellent critter spotter and very informative providing great information about the animals and the environment. We are avid birders and still managed to learn a few things from her. Despite the chilly temps in addition to a wide variety of birds we also saw several gators (large & small) and turtles. The trip was fun and educational. We would definitely do it again.

They offered to rebook us on another day and time of our choosing. Well, I happened to be in the car when they called so accessing my schedule while I was on the phone, was not an easy task. The lady on the phone seemed SUPER annoyed with me the entire conversation. TWICE she asked if I would like to call her back. I'm sorry- are you THAT busy that you can't wait for two seconds while I pull up my calendar?!! I was so irritated by this lady's rude behavior that I almost said forget it. Refund us. We don't want to support you. You are being rude. However, my in laws were coming from out of town and I wanted them to experience the springs and the manatees. I had an entire week of activities planned for us so I just needed a second to check my calendar. If the lady who called was SOOOO BUSY, then why did she choose that time to call me? I will not get over this. Her customer service got the job done and we rescheduled but I will not forget how rude she was. On the day of our tour, we checked in at the little shack on the dock. Our tour guide was super funny! He was narrating our tour and making jokes. He was interacting with everyone on the boat. It was a cold day but we were able to see one large sunbathing gator and some hawks and other birds. The manatees were best seen from the shoreline walkway. We left a large tip for the tour guide and thanked him. He probably has no idea that the lady in the office is a real jerk.
