We came for a free fishing event one Saturday that we saw on Facebook. Volusia count and them paired up for a fishing tournament for kids under 11. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a bait shop and a little pond where we were able to fish for fun. Would definitely come back!

Fantastic place. It was a family fishing trip with people coming in from Florida, Illinois and Minnesota. Lodging was very clean and beds are comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was great as was the fishing. We're going back next year.

We found this wonderful spot on a Groupon . upon arrival the staff was great quick easy check in the little cabin was absolutely perfect it is fully stocked with all you would need for a few days stay . We were scheduled for a pontoon tour and of course it was the worst weather that day , they were so accommodating they changed our date and we were able to enjoy the day exploring Deland itself . Take some time enjoy a few days of relaxation and fishing you will not be disappointed.

This is the second time my husband and I visited the fish camp for a fishing trip. Seven years ago our fishing guide was Rick. And we had a blast!! Great stories and great catch!! Large mouth bass. Our second visit we had James as our guide and again we had a blast!! He said he would take us to where the fish are biting and he certainly did. We caught twelve large mouth bass. He taught us how to hook the fish so we wouldn't loose more than we caught. I think he was impressed with his teaching skills because we caught a lot of bass. We plan on returning in the spring. We highly recommended Highland Park Fish Camp.

If I could give extra stars I would. My father in-law and I went out on a guided fish trip today with James. It was a very cold day and the lake was pretty empty but we got out early and James had us on the fish within a handful of casts. We each caught over 10 nice sized specks and had a blast despite the weather. Can't wait to come back in nicer weather when the bass fishing heats up. Everyone was really pleasant and it reminded of the comraderie of the old tackle shops back home.

It's close by...and I'll bet you didn't even know it!…read more It sounds sort of funny, but I never even knew this place was an actual park until recently. It was within walking distance of one of my friend's houses, and I somehow thought it was part of the neighborhood. This place may be cleverly disguised, but there is a lot to see and do, and this has one of the best inland walking paths in all of Port Ornage. The Good: Walk it off: Honestly the thing I like the most about Spruce Creek is the different walking trails. They go around the park, and even continue over the water, and everything is just beautiful. I used to come here all the time with friends and it was a cool spot to hang out. And if you're going on a mid-afternoon stroll with someone special, you really can't go wrong with this place. The trail is about 3 miles long, but even so, it feels very short. Nice and quiet: Aside from the occasional field trip, this place is almost never crowded. This could, of course, be due to the fact that this place is huge, and even when there are a lot of people you just don't notice them. Spend the day: While there's not really a whole lot to *do* per se, there are picnic tables and playground equipment. If you are trying to spend a nice relaxing day out, Spruce creek is the perfect place The Bad: N/A Spruce creek is a very peaceful and tranquil place to go visit, away from the noise of Daytona Beach. While it might not have as much stuff to do as a lot of the other volusia parks, I count that as a good thing. Overall 8.8/10= Just Chillin'

Booking this site online was a breeze using the KOA App, in this day and age it's nearly impossible…read moreto book a site on a holiday weekend especially with only a few days notice unless by happenstance you score one because of a cancellation. I decided to come here to celebrate the July 4th weekend first because of the availability, it's proximity of my home and certainly because of the beautiful riverside location. I've driven through this campground several times before booking to see the accommodations. I agree with other reviewers most of the sites are pretty close together this is especially true for a Class A MotorCoach. The site we reserved was a back-in site along the tree line so there was some partial shade and even though the sites were gravel they did offer a level and mostly compacted pad. The location of the utilities were somewhat close to the neighbors and the sewer connections were a little closer to the awning side of our RV than I would of liked but the connections were positive and I never detected any odors. The 50 amp electrical service was stable and the fresh water quality and pressure were good. The old saying is you can't pick your neighbors and although for the most part RVers are usually friendly and courteous but some can be a little less than ideal - some just don't understand common campground etiquette, one would hope this is simply out of ignorance and not intentional but either way this is when you hope the campground management team steps up without a request especially when it's a rules violation, anyway it wasn't a deal breaker, just annoying. The close proximity of the campsites probably escalates the frustration of these minor infractions which would otherwise go unnoticed, I somewhat expected some of this when I saw how close the sites were from each other. I was overall okay with the entire experience, the accommodations met our expectations, the on-site restaurant and bar were a positive, the campground was well maintained, the location next to the river makes up for a lot of mis-cues and since the agenda is to relax and enjoy most sins are forgiven. I definitely would come back but I'd try and request my site instead of being assigned a spot without input. I think the per day price is a little steep but not outrageous by any means...

We reserved 6 months in advance.....at…read morethat time I was told sites will be pull through for trailers and we will be camped side by side, as requested. Well, that didn't happen. We had to disconnect and park trailers in seperate area and our sites were not next to each other at all. We traveled 1400 miles so here we were. I understand possible miscommunication or whatever so let's just accept and work with it.... The absolute factor to reserve here was the website showing the pool with an ADA pool lift for handicapped people. This was absolutely necessary for me to use the pool as I use a wheelchair full time. And I also frequent water therapy. The office confirmed the pool lift availability at reservation time. Well. That pool lift turns out to be long time rusted and seized. Staff seemed ok with it and casually shrugged it off. I was desperate so I thought we would just help to get something done, timely. We got authorized to go buy batteries for it in town. Well It needed far more than just batteries. Was told it would be repaired. Dead silence followed until i further inquired near 2 weeks later. I was then told replacement part "on way" and no eta. NO ETA. Who believes that in FL pool lift parts would take that long to get? The owner literally turned his back on me. Lying to me no doubt. No pool for me. Family members physically assited me a couple times out of the pool but each time injuring myself so that had to stop. Zero compassion by owners here for me. I did request some sort of refund. I was offered zero by owner and accused of bullying. I was told to do whatever in terms of reviews or ADA violation report. No cares given. In retaliation we were then accused of not cleaning up behind our service dog. Another lie. Bottom line, do you feel lucky? Do not expect any courtesy here.

Kelly did absolutely everything she could possibly do to help with the situation. She stayed long after her shift had ended. She shows the same diligence in every aspect of her position at CGCG & RV Park. Now for the park, they have some amazing residents, some of who also pitched in. However as each year passed and our fourth year came to an end for our 6/6 agreement the campground had lost its identity and an under current could be felt which lead to our reduced enjoyment, pleasure and clicks were a major part. As the park lost their good snowbirds they were replaced with a whole different type of person. The rec hall where many events are held turned from a discreet drinking scene to a drunk festival as every event was replaced with 40 oz bottles, moonshine, Jell-O shots and pudding shots leading to a quick deterioration. Watching a married women basically sitting on men laps feeding them shots was the new norm. During our last event a hillbilly theme party one person thought it would be cool to drop his pants three times and no one said anything even with management there. Frankly yes he had a bathing suit but seriously show some class it's a family park not an adult club. The same person danced with a women who basically lost her pants to her ankles, It's a shame a respectful park became this and most left events by 7 or 8 pm due to situations. In addition it you like the pool for swimming good luck the volleyball people called Bullyball by some young children took over the pool's shallow end even when it was not scheduled they pushed their way into the pool setting up their net. This went on for a few years and resulted in several awkward moments at the pool in which management did nothing they allowed it to continue however this year was absolutely out of control. This caused many campers to leave the park as the pool kept being overrun during the prime time 3 pm even if it was not scheduled. By end March push back began and people intentionally loaded up the pool blocking the volleyball players when they tried to start a game during non scheduled times. The Landry areas are a joke they raised the price despite many machines not operating correctly including frying your clothes, not rinsing soap, no cold water only hot water. The washrooms in general are in a desperate need for a full gut and renovation. They are often dirty and not presentable for use. The true reality and the condition of park today most of the grass is dead or killed off, most pads are all broken up this includes both the pad and patios. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing as 2 is not enough for the amount of lots, in addition there are rules however these rules are not enforced or for all. This includes drinking and driving golf carts there is even 1 golf cart that is literally a mobile bar. Evidently pot and medicinal pot smokers are a criteria at this campground as no matter where you are If you enjoy the smell of pot it is a multiple daily event this has degraded yearly. It is a shame that this park in a wonderful location has raised it rates $1500.00 per season over our time yet needs serious work. It appears that there is little direction by Management to lead its employees and organize a schedule of maintenance as well as impose the rules

There was so much wildlife to be heard throughout the night including owls, woodpeckers, and what we think were crickets or maybe lubbers. The bathrooms and shower areas were very clean for a park/camping area. There are different trails to explore along the path to the treehouses, which we didn't have a chance to do. We suggest bringing a sheet or blanket to cover your mattresses. Each treehouse has 2 twin sized bunk beds (total of 4 mattresses). They are VERY uncomfortable, so if you need extra support, you should probably bring a mattress topper/padding. The grills were pretty clean, just need some dusting off before cooking, though, nothing out of the ordinary. Upkeep for everything was great!

Classes and naturalist programs for organized groups and the public will be available in outdoor and indoor classrooms. If you're looking for a great outdoor party smack dab in the middle of Bike Week, this is it. The event has everything you're looking for, if this is your thing; bikers & biker babes, motorcycles, bikini contests, live music, motorcycle daredevil acts (Globe of Death), fire dancers, fire jugglers, high-wire acts, stilt walkers, wrestling, full liquor bars, ice cold beer and finally watching the burning bike burn. The party starts at 5pm and ends 12am the next morning. Tickets to get in are $10. There is plenty of parking available but know that Fast Lane Campground is just what it is, a campground, and their parking lot and event grounds is basically a big open grass lot, so if you are disabled or have a special need this might be difficult event to navigate on your own, be sure to bring a buddy. One of the most memorable parts of the event is viewing all of the messages written on the wooden sculpture before it is burned. Nancy and I write our own messages of love to the ones that we have lost and dearly miss. If you want to take advantage of this part of the event I recommend arriving before dark because staff fence off the sculpture 45-min to an hour before burning begins. If you are planning on spending most of the day at the event, I recommend bringing a collapsible chair and claiming a spot close to the fence posts surrounding the burning bike so you can get the best view. There are plenty of vendors on site selling food, snacks, dessert, non-alcoholic drinks, alcoholic drinks, cigars, other paraphernalia, merchandise, biker gear, custom knives and so much more, you basically have everything you need if you didn't bring it with you. This year, I have to say they burned the sculpture much faster than previous years. It was a shame that it burned so quick. I actually wish they would start burning earlier but let it burn longer like previous years because as soon as the bike burned, everyone started leaving. This time around, they started burning the bike at 9:50pm and the rider and most of the bike was completely burned by 10:15pm. I think they used too much fuel too quick. I guess if you just want to get it over with that's the way to do it but I think they could have easily spread the burning out over the course of an hour or more. All-in-all, this is an awesome event that is held annually during Bike Week. If you have never gone, I highly recommend marking your calendar now for next year. I don't know the exact day of Burning Bike but I know that Bike Week is scheduled for February 27th through March 8th, 2026. Hope to see you there!
