Yes, it is true, Anthony and his sister are very busy all of the time, but it is because they get the job done. Our car got rammed into twice while parked and both times we used Central Collision - the first occasion we were recommended by our insurance and second time we chose them. They are very accommodating when it comes to early drop off, late pick up and even weekend drop off and pickup. I cannot seem to find a decent mechanic or Hyundai dealership that is not a complete rip-off - I wish they did more than just repair damage, I'd bring my car here for everything! AND!!! Our windshield cracked while waiting for parts to come in at CC and the windshield repair person who I found online happened to know Anthony. After being involved in a minor fender bender, I was referred to Central Collision by Hartford insurance adjuster. Anthony the owner was very professional and has been in the business for over 20 years. Positive- constant communication, and very accommodating to work with a client's time frame Negative- incomplete work( a scratch on the door was not repaired as promised) When I picked up the car it was not washed, thus I did not notice the untouched up scratch. They did attempt to hose off the front area where the work was done. I was told to wait 24 hours for a proper car wash. Post car wash I noticed it. It seems to me that the previous poster doesn't understand how insurance companies work. It can take them weeks to review and make decisions. Instead of blaming Anthony, the poster should have called his insurance carrier and asked them to expedite their decision. I've used this place for almost 3 decades. They saw me through the angst of having had teenagers who thought a car fixed itself! Central Collision is still a family business. Father (Mike, who is semi-retired), son Anthony (who runs the place) and daughter, Roseanne, who keeps 'em all laughing. And, of course, Vinnie a Master Auto Body Mechanic who can fix anything. Nice people, excellent turn-around time, and fair, competitive pricing. Don't know if this is also a help for anyone, but they are also an approved Geico, Hartford, State Farm, Nationwide, AllState and Travellers repair location. When you go, you might want to be prepared for a short wait as I have almost never gone there without finding a line of people ahead of me. By the way it seems there was a 1 star review previously of Central Collision that has been removed - just for full disclosure. My experience with them has been very positive - they fixed my car perfectly, they were very professional and great to work with, the only negative (hence 4 stars instead of 5) was the length of time to fix the car was longer than originally expected - however they did call me and update me on the situation. They also went the extra mile and even reimbursed my rental car expenses because of the lateness! Very good and professional place, honest and quality work. I would recommend it. I tried getting an estimate and basically played phone tag. They looked at my car and got my number and said they'd call me back but never did so I called and every time I called they said they'd call me back with the estimate. As a result of a very minor fender bender, the corner of my front bumper had several small cracks in it. I thought that the only repair I needed was a new bumper. I consider myself very lucky to have had this business repair my ride. Not only was the color matched perfectly but it's obvious that the proprietors, Anthony and Roseanne, know that collision repairs aren't just superficial. It was comforting to know that Anthony is also a claims adjuster and that his business is recognized by several major insurance companies as part of a "Select" group of collision repair shops. My car's problems were examined a lot closer than what just seemed wrong on the surface. Not only did I have a new bumper, but the fenders were aligned perfectly and as a result, the passenger's side door no longer creaked (as it had before) when it was opened. When I make a very sharp turn, I no longer hear the faint sound of a wheel making contact with a wheel well. My car is nearly two decades old yet because of the love that it was shown by the crew at Central Collision, I have a new sense of pride in the care of my car. read more

I took my car in to get an estimate. Anthony said he'd get in touch with my insurance and give me a call the next day. He didn't call the next day, so I called him on the day after. Still, no status update. In fact a week and a half went by like this as I played a one-man phone tag. The few times (maybe 3) that I was able to get Anthony on the phone, he would give me the same run-around about the insurance. He's a nice guy and if others have a good experience then don't just take my word for it. But after dealing with Anthony for a week and a half (and being told blatant lies about why it was taking so long), I have to strongly recommend against going to Central. read more
