I recommend Dr Pritchett as my dentist. He is pretty honest and has a dry sense of humor. Lol

Absolutely despicable service. Technicians treat patients like crap. Wait is long. Low quality x rays and tools being used.

Ok: I am unable…read moreto fully express how impressed I am with this Doctor and his whole staff. On a ten day visit to the central coast I experienced pain in my tooth, my jaw, hell all the way to my neck and ears. It was at 0200 on Memorial Day. Nobody was open. Doctor Perez's office called me Tuesday morning and got me in that afternoon. She knew I was hurting and they made room. They were the filth office I called that day from A.G to SLO and left messages. They also were the only one to return my call, to this day. In the next two weeks they fit me in for some pretty serious procedures. The front office got me scheduled and signed in. Stephany prepped me for the Doctor and Dr. Perez did his job. After the exam he told me the facts without being condescending nor did he pass judgement. The hygienist, Stephany, then answered any questions and showed me videos to help educate me for the decisions that had to be made. Very smart protocol. His daughter , Danielle, then took the time to lay out a plan, talk with my insurance to figure out my out of pocket and fit me in their schedule. I researched and called my in-laws, in the dental field; I had a really good idea what I was up against by the time I went back for the first of four procedures in ten days. Getting the care I received and received in that timely manner with such talent and professional consideration was a blessing. I'm home now, healing and feeling sooo much better. I will be flying from Seattle, where I live, back down in January for a six month post opt on some bone grafting. I made a friend who is a great Dentist with a wonderful staff. That's how they make you feel. Not just me by the way. Everyone I saw come in there got the same "come into my home, how can we help you" attitude. I should mention. The cost was way below what my research said it should have been. How do they do it? Thank you very much to all of you.

Last year we decided to find a local dentist so we didn't have to travel for treatment anymore. We looked up dentists in SLO County who accepted our insurance and Dr. Perez popped up. He was only 5 minutes from our house and his reviews were great! We decided to try him and boy is he great! He and his staff are knowledgeable, efficient and caring and Dr. Perez uses the latest technology. He is soooo much better than the dentists we had in Ventura and Santa Barbara! We are so happy we found him! Give him a try, you will be happy you did!

I went to Dr. Lee for 3 years after moving to Central Coast, and he never told me I needed work…read moreduring my 6 month cleanings, and then at the last appointment, he told me I needed a crown. The temporary broke off, and when I called the emergency number, I didn't get a call back. Later his assistant told me it was her cell phone, which doesn't explain why they didn't call me back after hours. I let it go, and I got my permanent crown. It broke after 3 months, and once again, no one returned my emergency after hours call (which I personally told them was an issue 3 months earlier, so they knew about it and chose not to fix the problem). I drove to their office and found a HANDWRITTEN note on the door changing the hours (the phonemail was not updated), so I called around and got another dentist to see me. That was when I found out much, more more. I had 6 cavities and needed 4 crowns! 2 of my teeth were badly cracked, and in 3 YEARS Dr. Lee said nothing about it. Not only that, the reason the tooth broke off is he neglected to build it up (which is what the new dentist had to do for me because the teeth are worn) and he didn't seal it properly, so it had decay that had to be removed before they could give me a new crown, so the new dentist couldn't even just put it back on. Apparently Dr. Lee didn't have the equipment/machines/technology necessary to know about these things OR he didn't inform me. Either way, it was gross negligence. The office manager offered to talk to them for me and suggested I request a refund, but I knew better. TWICE the staff told me their "credit card machine was broken" to get me to pay in cash, and when I told them you don't even need a machine; you can accept credit cards online -- they just said it was working! Two different times months apart, so obviously something was wrong there. I did talk to his assistant, and my husband told Dr. lee how upset I was. I asked the assistant to call the office manager at the other dentist, but neither one of them ever followed up. I just decided never to go back, so that's why I'm documenting this so others will know what to expect. If that's not enough, I also have gum disease! I didn't have this when I moved to Central Coast (I went to a great dentist back home), but the hygienist at the new place told me some dentists don't know much about gum disease, so I had to get what they call a "deep cleaning" that cost $1800, AND I now may have to go back every 3 months to get cleanings. They will give me another cleaning this week to decide whether or not I have to. This cost my $8000 in new charges and $1800 for the replacement crown from scratch with the decay clean and the build up of the tooth, so nearly $10k to fix the situation! (It's taken me 2.5 months to get all these work done, which has been highly inconvenient, time consuming, and COSTLY, painful and unnecessary if he had just told me when these issues were small before they became BIG problems). IF YOU CHOOSE THE WRONG DENTIST, THERE ARE HUGE CONSEQUENCES. Don't make the same mistake I did!

I've decided to find a new provider after my cleaning here. The hygienist was highly unprofessional…read moreand lacked good bed side manners. She would cough into her arm while cleaning my teeth and shared way too much personal information. I was forced to listen to her chatter for nearly an hour while also worrying whether I'd catch an illness. When I requested my patent file be sent to a different provider, I was met with resistance. Receptionist told me it would take 3 weeks (I literally had been a patient for 6 months- how long does it take to copy my 3 pg file?). Since that wasn't acceptable, I was told I had to pick up the file in person and pay $25. The hours of business are more limited than my work day and so this office made things extra difficult for me by refusing to send my file to another dentist in a timely fashion. I also felt the copying fee was not appropriate given the fact that my file was a skimpy couple of pages. It's unfortunate I had to leave because I feel that Dr. Lee is a good dentist. However, I feel he needs better trained staff. ---- My husband and I both have had positive experiences with Doctor Lee. Both of us had cleanings and minor cavity fillings done. Dr. Lee is friendly and down to earth. So much so that he didn't mind doing my cleaning when the hygienist wasn't available that day. The office interior is simple but I don't go to the dentist for interior decoration inspiration. This office is able to accommodate my busy schedule and I appreciate that. They even advertise that they can take walk ins. My only suggestion for improvement is for receptionist staff to follow through when they say they will do something. I've had to call time and time again with the same request.

He took care of their cavities and I've referred him to many other people in the county. I'm leaving this review because I stumbled on his yelpsite while looking for ortho and was surprised by the low stars. Majority of the low reviews seem like billing or scheduling issues, which seem more front office related. I did personally did not have any issues with the front office or feel rushed, but these concerns made by others do seem valid. On the flipside, we found the dentist himself to be very capable with regard to the dental work, having great chairside manners. I hope this review helps.

Also they don't want you to be in any pain, (I had root canal and there wasn't a large amount of pain,- also my nerve didn't want to come out so it took longer than usual) which made my anxiety go down a lot. I also have no insurance at the moment and they were more than willing to work out a plan (They have a thing where if you don't have insurance they will give you 30% off) This is coming from a person who hasn't been to the dentist in 8 years (I feel really guilty about it...) and hey, I even went back!

We knew we were moving to Pismo Beach so I started "interviewing" dentists in the area. I tried Oaks Dental and luckily I got an appointment with Dr. Berry. I can honestly say in my almost 60 years of going to the dentist that he is by far the best I've been to. I had a complicated situation with an old dental implant that needed to be removed. Initially he referred this type of work to an orthodontist-since this is their specialty. After seeing 2 orthos, they were unsuccessful in removing my 30+ year implant. Dr Berry wouldn't accept defeat so he took it upon himself to get creative and he was successful in getting the implant out. The removal of this implant was imperative as I needed a bridge. I just want to add that not only is he at the top of his professional game, but he's acutely aware of my time (which other doctors lack). To top it off, he's always in a great mood, even if his work load is full, and he's fun to chat with. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Berry and his staff of Julie, Office Manager and Missy, front desk. This is a fantastic office and you will be happy to have your dental care looked after by them. Thank you again Dr Berry for all the work and patience you've had with my case!
