I cannot begin to tell you how insensitive they are there. I explained over and over I did not have to any money to pay for anything my insurance did dot cover. I printed out my insurance info stating they covered extractions with no co-pay and they said it would still be another $500. They wanted to take more x-rays and ignored me over and over when I said I only wanted a tooth that hurt pulled and had no money for anything else. I had over $1,000 coverage on my insurance which would have covered one extraction, but they refused to do it without an extra $500. It's humiliating to repeat a half a dozen times I did not have it. They are simply just set up to milk insurance companies and don't care at all for people with limited funds. Michelle treated me like I was stupid would not shut up and ended up hanging up on me. They insisted in taking more xrays saying the insurance would cover those. I told Michelle I couldn't pay for any treatment, so what's the point? They (the doctor) are clearly concerned only with milking the insurance companies. Meanwhile my tooth still hurts. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! These people prey on college students away from their normal dentists and try to gaslight them into getting loads of fillings and other procedures that they do not need. They say certain things aren't covered by insurance and make you pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket when this should NOT be the case. They made me take X-rays I did not need, wouldn't show me the results, didn't do a basic cleaning, and told me I had 8 cavities. I got a second opinion and found out I had ZERO!!!! Called with a broken tooth and looking for a dentist that could all things related to dentistry I needed a dentist here in town (my previous one was a long way away) I believe I found a great one not only did they get me in right away I thought I was going to have to have an extraction. The doctor was able to save the tooth and recommended a bridge at the same time saving me time and money that was at 9:30 am came back at 1:00 same day for the temporary repairs and completely pain-free next week another visit and one other visit the next week to complete everything that needs to be done and did I mention absolutely pain-free. Right from the start with the receptionist was a pleasant introduction and I felt comfortable starting then the dental assistants explained process and procedures with out any confusions and as well made sure I felt very comfortable. STAY AWAY. The worst case of medical price gouging I've ever seen. Quoted me over $9000 to basically redo all of my prior dental work, saying I needed 4 root canals at an annual check up. Thank goodness I got a second opinion before this office took my wallet and teeth for all they could. The staff was very nice, but in a time where some offices take advantage of their patient's fears, I honestly couldn't recommend this place less. My wife and I started coming here last year when we moved. It was nice that we were able to get an appointment because it's so hard to get appointments on central coast. The first time we went it was different because the dentist cleaned our teeth BUT they were accommodating to our work schedules and got us both in after 5pm. Our 2nd time coming was better because they had a hygienist but when confirming our appt that we made 6 months ago, they seemed confused when they called. They asked us to reschedule us but they gave us the same time on a different day. Fast forward another 6 months and we were called a week and a day before our appointment only to be told that the Dentist was unavailable and offered us a morning appointment that was in 3 weeks or something over a month away. I needed to speak to my wife to confirm our schedules. We called back a few days later and were offered a date 2 months away! Clearly making an appointment here means nothing and they must be busy enough now that they don't need our business. I told the staff that we were really disappointed and it seems like it's an ongoing theme since they said a lot of people are being rescheduled and having a hard time getting in. I don't understand the point in making an appointment 6 months in advance if you can't keep it! read more

Excellent dentistry! They truly want to make sure you're happy with what you get done. Raul Perez takes pride in his work and does a great job. I am changing insurance to one they do not take but he said he will still honor his work and make sure my filling is good for at least 6 months regardless of what insurance I have. I've been to many dentists over my life and this one is clean, considerate, knowledgable, able to refer out for complex root canal work and the staff was friendly and professional too. I was surprised at how attentive they were after my double crown replacements. The temporary crown came off and they got me in on a Saturday and texted to make sure I was doing okay on a Sunday. I posted a review a couple weeks ago. I do not know why it is not available. So here goes again. I was on vacation from Seattle visiting family. I woke at two in the morning on Memorial Day with a horrible tooth ache. This office was the only dentist to return my messages, to this day, I left six other messages in offices from AG to SLO. Maria, at the front desk recognized my pain and cleared me for an appointment that afternoon. Stephany is the hygienist that worked on me with Dr Perez. Very professional and considerate. The Dr was very informative, explaining the problem and his plan to get me healthy. It was a series of four more visits and some heavy dentistry to see me back to health. But all this was explained by Danniella, the office manager. Yes, I k ow their names. That's how personal this team is. It is not just me, every patient that walked in or out of that office was treated with the same consideration. I have a follow up in January. I will be flying down to see this Doctor and his team. Dr Raul Perez was willing to see me on a Saturday as a new patient. I had a dental emergency and needed a front bridge. He began the procedure the same morning and was very gentle and seemed very skilled. His office was very well equipped and his staff very friendly. I walked out of there with a wonderful temporary bridge By the following Friday, not even a week later, he seated my very beautiful front teeth bridge. I absolutely loved the way Dr Perez worked on a few of my teeth. I was not able to eat or drink anything cold nor hot and I'm very glad to say that he fixed it and now I'm able to enjoy all my favorite cold and hot foods and drinks. I had previously posted a review on this business after my first visit in which I was so impressed but now that I've actually had work done by Dentist I need everyone to know how I've been blown away in a very good way. Let me give a little history though, I had been a patient at a different dentistry office in Santa Maria for 20 years and was having a repetitive problem where fillings on my front teeth were breaking the next day after being done and that dentist had been saying it was my fault (as I was the only one that it was happening to). I had also been told by same office that stains on some of my molars were permanent and there was nothing to be done. Let me tell you!! Dr Perez at White Crest got rid of the stains (without me mentioning anything he saw the need & corrected it with a deep cleaning) my smile is so white and the best part is fillings he did have "NOT" broken!!
