Almost never a Hold'em game, only Omaha & Big-O hi/lo split. If that's what you like, then this is the place for you.

We had drinks and apps here the other day and it was fantastic!…read moreThe view of this place is beautiful, the ambience of the restaurant was coastal and cute! I am a Marriott Bonvoy member so I've stayed at quite a few autograph collections and this is one of my top choices especially on the central coast. Their drink selection is both unique and refreshing. I currently can't drink and our wonderful server Abraham made great recommendations for mocktails as well as appetizers. He was both friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was busy! He had a warm welcoming smile, and didn't rush us ordering. I always appreciate excellent service, I like to give credit where it's do. We don't always get great service where we go, so we will be back and ask for Abe. Thanks again! Btw the taquitos were delicious!

When I asked about room availability, the front desk agent told me there were no rooms available. However, while standing there, I checked Marriott's website and found multiple rooms available to book immediately. When I pointed this out, she claimed the online booking inventory didn't match the hotel's actual inventory, which made no sense and felt dishonest. Rather than trying to help resolve the situation, she came across as patronizing, offering unnecessary explanations about hotel hours as if that addressed the issue. The interaction felt dismissive from start to finish. To make matters worse, she offered a 2:00 p.m. late checkout because I'm a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member, but then made a point of telling me she was not offering the 4:00 p.m. late checkout because she wasn't required to honor that benefit for Bonvoy members. It felt unnecessarily confrontational and came across as though she wanted to emphasize what she didn't have to do rather than provide good hospitality. Great hotels are remembered for exceptional service, especially when something doesn't go as planned. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposite. I've stayed at many Marriott properties, and this was one of the poorest customer service experiences I've encountered. I hope management reviews how guests are treated, because no one should leave feeling dismissed and misled.

Wonderful peaceful location. Really enjoyed the fire pits. Partial Ocean View two room two bath…read moresuite. Staff was warm welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and nicely decorated. We did find the beds to be a bit soft but no big deal. I was worried about the prior reviews about bird poop but our baloney was very clean as was the entire courtyard and pool area. First, the good: the staff was fantastic, even dealing with all the difficulties with the property. Always a great attitude and very helpful. So hats off to them. The design and style of the rooms is very nice. Room was very clean. I think the current issue is that property ownership is making some poor choices. Our building was clearly still being worked on. Our first room that we checked in to, when we arrived, the shower was taken apart and a plumber was in the room working on it. We went back to the front desk, and they had no other rooms that were the same, but they got us another room that worked. Unfortunately, the building was running off a generator, and we lost power a couple of times, but it was restored after about 30 minutes. My mom was staying at the hotel as well, and dealt with ants for two days. The hotel did comp her the two days, but she had to move rooms. I think the ownership just reopened too early and should have kept parts of the property closed until they were completely finished. I stayed at the Shorecliff (previous name of the property) last year and it was nice, if a little dated. Not sure why these major systems are not working now. When everything was fine last year. Also, why are they charging $15/day for parking and a $35/day resort fee? It's not fancy like that, I don't think you get a good value for the added fees. Also no breakfast, you have to pay $25 for breakfast buffet that you could get included in your stay in a bunch of other places in Pismo. So yeah, maybe wait until they finish construction.

One of my favorite experiences was listening to the soothing sound of the waves while taking a nap with the sliding door open. The afternoon sunset was absolutely beautiful, making our time relaxing on the patio even more special. Our room rate included breakfast, which was a typical continental breakfast. One of the highlights of the property was the fire pits, which were especially lovely at night. It was so relaxing to sit by the fire, listen to the waves, and enjoy the peaceful ocean atmosphere. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were professional, welcoming, and friendly. Overall, our stay was wonderful and relaxing. I would definitely stay at Seacrest Hotel again if given the chance. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful ocean views!

However, during this recent visit, we did not feel welcomed. When my wife and I approached the front desk for check‑in, the older female employee working the reception (possibly named Debbie or starting with a "D") told us she had not called us yet, even though it was clearly our turn in line. I apologized and stepped back, and only a few seconds later she did not greet us instead up front asked if we had a reservation. From the beginning, her demeanor toward us felt unfriendly and dismissive. We had booked an Ocean View King with a patio, but we were assigned a fourth‑floor room on the east wing of the hotel with only a partial ocean view and a strong smell of urine. it turns out this area of the building are pet friendly. We returned to the front desk, waited again, and when she called us over with "What's up," I explained the issue. She was quiet for a moment, then reassigned us to the main building second‑floor room above the reception area and informed us that no patio rooms were available. Her behavior throughout the check‑in process was discouraging and made us feel unwelcome, which was disappointing--especially considering we spent over $850 for a two‑night stay. However, a part from this staff issue, Seacrest is a great place to stay, the complementary breakfast is great! but yes that one staff was not the greatest...

So don't think you will camp here and walk to the beach or even to any stores. 2. The hook ups are nice. Bring your own fire ring. 3. I personally thought the staff was great. I saw one staff member correcting a camper- but they deserved it and I am very glad they actually will say something. 4. Your Verizon coverage "can" work but is dependent on the number of people that are using it in the area. Thats not the campgrounds fault. Verizon works great until a million others log on. 5. Horseback riding available. The not so good: 1. Cramped! You are in here like sardines. 2. Not the easiest to get in or out. 3. Its possible to smell the sewage in certain places around the clubhouse. Yuck! 4. The neighbors are close. Really close. You will hear the music and conversations. They weren't bad at all, but be aware. 6. No fire rings. 7. Some of the permanent residents are like sanford and son. You will see some of that. This place isnt bad. Its not great. If they revamped the place and gave it a complete makeover with larger sites and fewer people- I would pay a lot of money to stay here.
