Put your items in a bin, get the body scan & retrieve your items. You're in like Flin & the rest is a waiting game for your flight or enjoy the shopping & the restaurant

Specifically we took the Elizabeth Line to get to Stratford Station. Had to wait about 15 minutes for our train to arrive. It is helpful that there is a monitor showing folks when the next train is scheduled to arrive for whichever train line they are waiting for. It was less expensive to travel to our hotel this way as compared to using a taxi , bus, or other means of transportation. It was smooth trip that took about 30 minutes. Faster than the other modes of transportation. The Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 Underground station is convenient to use and easy to navigate even for tourists like us. The signs give good direction and instructions. If you have questions, there are attendants all over the station to help. Just ask.

The "slow" platforms are typically the only ones used - the "fast" train continues onwards at very high speed. Ticket offices are open between 06:30 and 20:30 plus there is an Oyster card reader. Very limited parking is available. Services and refreshments are limited - two very small shops selling snacks, candies and sodas, plus newspapers. There is also a vending machine. Bus stops are on the North side of the tracks that go to Uxbridge and other places. These are the London bus routes 222, 350, U1, U3 and U5.

You'll find shops for apparel and accessories, fragrance, jewelry, and even cigars. There's also a number of eateries, coffee shops, and a pretty little milk tea/boba cafe. Whether you just want to grab and go or sit down and relax, there's something for everyone. We browsed around for a bit, but mostly went there to check out the pretty milk tea shop which was surprisingly tasty! The decor was lovely as well and I can still taste that wonderful cheese tea topping. Overall, it's a nice, quick stop while in Windsor. They do close quite early at 6pm (except on Sundays, they close at 5pm), so plan accordingly.

Now I'm not sure if Windsor Royal Station is considered to be where the solitary train track is and…read morethe ticket window, or if it's the whole building that consists of shops, several restaurants and cafes and even an art gallery. I'll assume that it's the whole thing. The train side of the whole thing is, as I said, just one track. The train goes into the nearby town/city of Slough. And I'm pretty sure that is the only place that it goes. From there you change trains for other destinations such as London in one direction and Reading in another. There is also another train station that is about a 10-15 minute walk from this one though and I caught that train the other day to Twickenham (London) to see the rugby. Overall, it's a nice old-y world-y comfortable feeling that the place gives you. You can shop at the outdoor (really indoor) market stall or have a cup of coffee or even a really good meal at one of the cafes and/or restaurants. Obviously a great place to be when its raining outside.

This is a good overground train station with trains that go to Waterloo station in Central London. Having this line makes a day trip out of London to Windsor very easy and affordable if you do not want to take a tour on a tour bus. For us, we were able to find a late morning train and got to Windsor & Eaton in around a half hour. The train was nice and air conditioned and when we pulled into the station it was easy to exit and find our way to the items on our list including a trip to the castle and a boat tour. The attendants at the station were very nice when we returned and let us know which train we needed to board. The station is small but it does have two platforms and a little news stand with refreshments.

However, what you need to do is jump off the train here, and jump onto the train that runs between here and Windsor. The station itself is quite grand, though I have to admit that the ticketing is quite annoying, namely because you can't really go out and come back in again. This is a great little station for reliable, quick trains into London from Bucks and the Oxford…read morearea. Lots of parking, regular buses into Aylesbury and also from Oxford (though I haven't used these). There's a small waiting room with ticket office and coffee bar with friendly staff and excellent bacon butties! There is a toilet accessible from outside the waiting room. Quite a hike over the line and onto the London-bound platform, and a cold wind blows in over the fields - but there is a shelter. The advantage is that Chiltern Trains are one of the most reliable train operators, and - outside of peak rush hour - comfortable to travel on. They go into London Marylebone. You can also travel quickly to Birmingham from this station. It isn't that cheap - around £18 for a single into London out of rush hour - but the reliability makes it worth while if you're travelling on business.

There is a charge for the shuttle. We were given complimentary boarding tickets so no worries. The bus is comfortable and stops at Terminal 5 home to British Airways. Security here was a breeze. It was however early in the day.
